Mac Miller discography Puns

So far I have only listened to K.I.D.S, which I loved by the way.

Macs whole discography is like a full lifetime experience, from childhood to death (hear me out).

Starts off with KIDS (self explanatory) and it captures the youthful freedom of adolescence, its not perfect and there's definitely room to grow but that's sorta what I love about it. He really was just a kid back then and this tape captures that perfectly.

Macadellic is where he's introduced to fame and drugs. Two very dangerous things. This tape represents how fun and exciting this part of his life were. Being rich young and famous and living that party life. Mac was like 19/20 touring Europe with Lil Wayne and Macadellic shows how much fun he was having. More importantly though this tape definitely shows a huge maturity from KIDS, both musically and lyrically. There is some serious introspection on this mixtape which foreshadows his future work.

"They just dreams, turn 'em to reality Double-cup of lean, standin' on my balcony Lookin' at the sky, thinkin' it could all be mine All we got is memories, so what the fuck is time?"

WMWTSS is like Macadellic but with the polish of a studio album. If Macadellic was the party life, this album is the morning after. Much more introspection, Mac is in his early 20s, living in LA. He is still very much living the high life. Parties, drugs, girls.. young rap star shit. But on this record he sees it for what it is and shows a real understanding of the dangers associated with that lifestyle. A lot of tragic foreshadowing too which becomes a reoccurring motif in his music.

Faces is Macs best work imo. Take all of the trippiest aspects of all his previous projects, all the introspection, all the drugged out psychedelic shit. I don't know what I like more about this tape, the lyricism or the production (most of which is by the man himself). He said it himself. He was not on planet earth when he made this album. Tracks like Angel Dust, New Faces V2, Rain, Funeral and Grand Finale are career highlights. All of which include heaps of drug references. This album sounds like when the drugs change from being fun to being torture. Don't get me wrong, it's still a 'fun' album to listen to, full of Macs signature sense of humour (just listen to Friends with a funny ass Schoolboy Q feature). Definetly check out "didn't see you there" on the my macking aint easy mixtape. It's a really rare song which is almost impossible to find now.

It's rumoured that it was on the official my mackin ain't easy mixtape which mac never released in public. Only the version that's on this drive was released.

Like most of y’all, Circles has been the solace I never knew I needed. Mac was the first rapper I ever heard (thanks Mom for playing BSP!) and that opened up so many doors in terms of music.

I wanted to confirm the order of Mac’s full album and mixtape list and order (Easy Mac and Mac Miller only so Larry Lovestein, Larry Fisherman, Delusional Thomas, etc. would not be included in this list nor would any collaboration albums/mixtapes).

Was a huge fan of Mac and will continue to play his music as I live on. I was wondering as I know he has a lot of loosies and a ton of material in general if anyone had a link or a google drive perhaps with his discography or a link to something similar? I want to listen to it in its entirety.

I absolutely loved all of them tho! Divine Feminine might be my least favorite but I’d still say its a solid 8/10 Also these are the projects i listened to so i didnt include macadelic or blue slide park.. dont know if they can hold up to these..

However I’m happy i went through Mac’s discography he’s truly amazing. So sad he had to leave us. RIP legend🕊

Imo mac has one the best discography’s ever for an artist, i’m not necessarily talking about the music itself (obviously i love it tho) but the evolution of his style and personality throughout his albums. Listening to his albums all the way from Kids to Circles shows such a wide array of styles and emotions that chance and develop throughout every album, I’d always heard of mac for years but never really checked him out in detail until a couple months ago and now he’s one of my favorite and most often listened to artists rn. Anyways that was just my thoughts, Happy new years everyone hope the new year treats u well.

I’m not entirely new to the sub but I haven’t made a post in here before and I wanted to start a discussion on what everyone thinks is the mot underrated song or project. In my opinion, Aquarium from Watching Movies With The Sound Off is heavily underrated (at least in my friend group)
