The company with whom I was working decided they were going to kick off a drilling campaign consisting of 6 deep (>5,000 m) wells. Since I had been involved in several similar campaigns over the years, the onus fell upon me to take their idea and drive it to fruition.
Since this was going to be a multi-million dollar project, it had to be tendered and vetted through the various local ministries before it was allowed to commence. This required several hundreds of pages of technical jargon, considerable amounts of time, money and effort as well as quotes from at least 3 pre-approved drilling companies (for comparison’s sake) before being advertised for all and sundry to make their bids.
Generally, there was a non-refundable tender fee (usually a percentage of the total) so that everyone concerned wouldn’t devote any effort with ‘time wasters’ (such as small or shady companies with less than adequate resources who try to low-ball and win tenders, then farm-out the actual work).
Trouble was, these were complicated wells, consisting of several potentially nasty horizons with H2S, thief zones, heaving shales, multiple casing runs, salt horizons, overpressure, coring operations, and generally unfriendly drilling conditions. The tender was explicitly clear as to the type of rig, casing scheme, mud system, sampling, logging, and analysis while drilling, ad infinitum.
These were all approved by the various ministries and a baseline comparison for each well was determined to be $28-30 million each, given the tender specs. Also, although we’re in the Middle East, the lingua franca was noted. All tender offers must be made in English.
So the tender was made public, given a drop-dead date, and we waited the obligatory 14 days for the offers to flood in.
Since oil and gas exploration has been in a coma for the last few years due to saggy oil prices, there were a fair number of big rigs around the world sitting, stacked or mothballed. Seems everyone with a static deep rig was slathering over a nice, juicy 6-well, year-plus contract. We received tenders from Russia, China, India, several from the Middle East and even a couple from the US and Canada. It was incumbent upon me to review the tenders and make choices of the three best to submit to the ministries for their final go-ahead.

Anyway, I bought another pile of garments today, as a hedge against the real possibility that someone who should have already been removed by the church as a stake president (IF they actually cared about members and families), who enjoyed creating conflict with me, who enjoyed escalating conflict with me, who enjoyed bullying me repeatedly, who enjoyed venting visible anger at me, and who enjoyed using his gang and an unaccountable process to bully, attack, belittle, degrade, and humiliate me, decides he wants some more sadistic "fun" and calls another court to ex me.
I thought the transaction amount seemed low. Then when I saw the receipt, I noticed that she didn't properly ring me up for all of the garments. Score. I got outta dodge.
Edit: I posted this a while ago then he showed up because his hotel was too expensive and we've been on/off fighting all day. I'm convinced more than ever he's lost his mind.

I don't see it as disrespect that j think he couldn't "get" this girl. In my experience girls in their 20s don't see serious relationship potential with men with kids, we don't have a ton of money so there's no gold to be dug and as much as I love him, he's kind of nerdy. Just to confirm this I went to her Instagram and sure enough there were pics of thier "date" which all were of her with good looking college age guys and girls doing what college age guys and girls do at bars. He wasn't in one pic. I don't think she even knew he was calling it a date.

we have had our issues in the last year mostly due to our oldest mental health issues which have been exhausting but I always thought we did a great job presenting a unified front which is what all three of the counselors (daughter, family and couples) told us we needed to do. His new social media activity was surprising but this week has knocked me off my feet...I never would have see this coming.

My husband, oddly enough named StupidIdiot by his parents (SI for short) have been going through a rough patch for a year or so. Our oldest (8f) had some major anger and learning issues which affected the entire house. She had counseling, we did family counseling and even couples counseling. I really thought we were coming out of it and had a great set of holidays.

I´m Mariano Moretti from Argentina.
As all of you already know, I live in a country with a very difficult economy situation, and lost my job at the begining of 2020. But far from losing hope, I've started to dedicate 100% of my time to make my own music (something that I wanted to do long ago)
