TIL Phil Hartman, you may remember him in such roles as Troy McClure and Lionel Hutz, was set to be the voice actor of Zap Brannigan in Futurama but was murdered by his wife before recording began. They named the lead character, Phillip J. Fry, in his honor.

Hello, here’s a list of characters I decided not to do for the character interpretation polls and why.
Characters like Banshee, Psylocke, Forge, the New Mutants, Emma Frost, and several others I decided not to do because they hadn’t either made as many appearances or they had not been prominent enough.
I’ll probably do a few more polls tomorrow on Toad, Pyro, and Blob because I completely forgot to do them, but after that I’ll post the results about where the votes went.

If you pay attention there are several small, minor easter eggs that remind me of Futurama and the Simpsons. (Disenchantment definitely exists in the Groening world, but if someone were to watch the show without being a fan of Futurama or the Simpsons, they wouldn't miss much.)
I've found several easter eggs on my own, but I thought compiling a master list could be fun...

The Planet Express ship — or an old-timey version of what looks like the Planet Express ship — shows up briefly in the sky in Episode 1 when the trio are fleeing Bean's wedding.

There's a quick scene with Fry's hair in it in Episode 2 when Bean convinces Merkimer to have a bachelor party.

Blink and you'll miss it but in Episode 10 when Luci is rewinding the crystal ball, you can see Fry, Bender and the Professor in their time machine.

Another quick reference. When the trio end up in the Plague Pit in Episode 7, you can see Scruffy among the dead. His face is on the left in this screenshot by the flame.

Sorcerio reminds me of the Professor. (I know Billy West voiced the Professor and Sorcerio and the voices — to me — sound similar, but the characters are similar too.)
