A list of puns related to "Liberty Media"
The Twitter response of Disney Hotstar
There will be no news headline about this because Indian media is primarily concerned about affairs related to cricket. India has a large number of F1 fans and many of them have to put up with unreliable services from Disney+Hotstar. We don't have F1TV here because Star network has exclusive rights.
Today, the Russian GP stream ended at lap 50 and resumed at chequered flag. During this period, the screen had scrolling colored bars with some 'tower error'. The stream resumed in a minute but it was not the F1 race but some live cricket pre-show. The last three laps were so action packed and at least a few million viewers missed that action completely. Those laps aren't available on YouTube. Hotstar has still not rectified the replay of the race. At this point, 7 hours after the race ended, the F1 race replay still has the colored bars error and cricket pre-show. There is no way to watch the last three laps of the race for someone in India.
This is not the first time the this network has had such glitches and made such mistakes. They have always given Formula 1 a lower priority among other sports that have better viewership in India. F1 audience has had to go through commercial breaks lasting over minutes during pit stops and close racing battles. The issues have become more pronounced in the last few years. Even if we were to ignore technical glitches, the broadcaster in question fails to understand that racing is not a sport in which one can have scheduled breaks for commercials. To have a partner which doesn't understand basics of the sport is detrimental to F1 and ultimately Liberty media.
There are thousands of Indian F1 fans who have raged about this over the years. All they get in return is a shallow apology but such events are unfortunately recurring. In my 12 years as an F1 fan, I've not seen any effort that held the broadcaster in India accountable for poor service while possessing exclusive F1 broadcast rights. This just hurts F1 badly. Liberty media made an effort to make these broadcasters respect the F1 coverage by starting races 10 minutes late. The hope was that us fans will get to watch the pre-race build-up. All the broadcaster got was more free time to show ads and promotions for 10 minutes. They often started the race stream only after the sighting lap had begun. That plan failed spectacularly and F1 resumed to regular timings f

I'm sure most of us are familiar with Scott Ritsema of Belt of Truth Ministries (I've seen a few threads about them). Has anyone heard of Liberty and Health Alliance?
L+H Alliance basically regurgitates the same beliefs a lot of Adventists have about COVID-19 and the vaccine. I don't think they're affiliated with the church but I'm assuming the majority of their audience is SDA/other super conservative patriots lol.
Anyways, Scott is the director of Belt of Truth Ministries (as we know isn't affiliated with the SDA church but SDAs loveeeeee their stuff) AND the Vice President of Liberty and Health Alliance.
This guy is cashing IN on SDAs. Their group is pretty big, I think they just had Ben Carson speak for an event recently.
Anyways, I just wanted to share since I thought it was interesting. Does anyone know anything about the relationship between the two?
Stay safe!
This is the worst race I have ever seen live. Replay after replay, even the SKY IT commentators spoke about it and started to overimpose their own video feed.
I probably could have lurked this sub for snippets of the face and have the same experience. Sorry for my English.
Everyone knows the all time classics, but what is everyoneβs favourite race(s) from 2017-2021?
My personal favourites: Baku 2017 Germany 2019 Brazil 2019 Turkey 2020 Sakhir 2020 Bahrain 2021 Imola 2021 Hungary 2021
Ok. I have no faith in the general population of the world any more. Maybe it's something in the water, but that is another conspiracy for another day.
Let's get started, this article published by the National Institute of Health, and this other article also published by the National Institute of Health, acknowledged that Ivermectin has been found to be both an effective theraputic and preventative treatment for COVID-19. These two articles, as they are peer reviewed and republished by a government agency, should be enough to not only prove that Ivermectin deserves much more research, attention, and distribution, but also that the FDA's use of the Emergency Use Authorization Act to distribute vaccines is unlawful.

Now as we all know Joe "Horseworm" Rogan took Ivermectin recently. An actual doctor wrote him an actual prescription for the stuff. He took a therapeutic drug

This is really visible in the upshifts when you look at Hamilton's hand when he pulls the paddle. You can also notice it in the medium/slow corners.
The other one that still frustrates me till this day is Hamilton's 2018 Singapore pole lap. It is one of the greatest pole laps but they fucked it up. Just watch this atrocity here. If you look at his hands you can clearly notice the delay in the audio.
They also have uploaded many videos and immediately delete it due to poor editing and then re-upload them later once again.
Liberty media released their 10Q report recently, with some interesting F1 facts and figures. Link to full report. All numbers are in millions of dollars and numbers in brackets are negative
First off, F1 recorded total revenue of 501 million USD in the last quarter (April-June), 20 times the recorded revenue for this period last year (which should be no surprise to anyone considering the time period in question). 464 of that 501 million came from F1 itself, with the remaining 37 million coming from F2, F3 and other sources such as the Paddock club. Despite this, F1 is still losing money, with an operating loss of 36 million last quarter after expenses. Even with the increased number of events, Formula one is not profitable at the moment. Operations breakdown here or on page I-64 of the report.
The line Cost of formula 1 revenue is further broken down on page I-65, and linked here. The largest factor by far is team payments, totaling 308 million dollars last quarter. This is a pro-rated number based on the number of events that took place, hence why its zero last year as no events actually happened.
It is interesting that the biggest expense for liberty media is paying the teams, with the cost cap coming in it team payouts may end up being lowered slightly, as the total team payment will be approx 924 million over the year with 21 races, or 44million a race. with only a little more than 66 million per race in revenue (across the 7 events of the last quarter), that means 2/3 of all formula 1 revenue is paid to the teams, and liberty is operating at a 5million dollar per race loss over the last quarter.
Most expenses are constant regardless of the amount of races, such as depreciation and administrative expenses, so only 1 more race in the quarter would be able to, assuming each race costs 1/7 of total cost of 7 races, cause Liberty media return a profit on F1 for that quarter.
Other interesting tidbits include the valuation of the FIA agreement with liberty at 2.7 billion dollars as of June 30th, which lost 97 million in value in the last 6 months (likely due to time until renewal of the agreement).
I am not a financial analyist, this is just a laypersons reading of a 10Q report so anyone more qualified is welcome to poke holes in everything I said, but it is interesting to see the values
