A list of puns related to "Kentucky Educational Television"
Hello everyone, I watched this movie when I was in kindergarten around 4-5 years old. Because of this for a while I was doubting itβs existence, until I found a couple other searching for the movie and their memories matched mine, but so far nothing has been found.
What I first remember from the movie is a boy sitting with his family during a thanksgiving dinner. The boy is most likely being rude based on what happens next, the mother takes the boy to his room and asks what is going on with him, he responds that he doesnβt like thanksgiving because itβs just a bunch of relatives he doesnβt like and food he doesnβt like. The mother then tells the boy he is going to stay in the room until he lightens up, she also takes away his game controller. Before she leaves she puts a movie about thanksgiving into the T.V so the boy can learn about thanksgiving.
After watching the movie for a few moments the boy notices another game controller in his room, he remarks that he βhasnβt seen this one beforeβ before he tries to use it to play a game. This is when he is sucked into the T.V, he is transported to the first thanksgiving and learns about it.
I watched this around 2011 but due to the quality of it and the fact the other movies the school played (for example the fib episode of veggietales which was released in 1997) it was most likely made much earlier. This school was also a catholic one so the contents of it would fit with the values of that religion.
This question was partly inspired by this New York Times article from August 1973: "Sesame Street Denounced by Soviet as Imperialistic".

It got me curious about what was the state of children's entertainment in the Soviet Union.
