My two youngest children who are in their teens are getting ready for church. They want to go today so I’ll drop them off. My husband is in the bishopric. I’ve been out for a few years now. No calling. No temple recommend. My records are still intact. A few month back I was called into the bishop’s office for a calling they thought I might take. My husband’s doing really. Team teaching. I wouldn’t have to teach a lesson. Just physically be there. I tried it out for a Sunday and found it to be a mistake. I made an appointment with the bishop to say the setup wouldn’t work. He asked me a few questions and was trying to get to know me a little as I have kept my distance from people in the ward. He was doing his best to connect. I was cordial but just wanted to be on my way. At the end of the conversation he asked me if I wore my garments. I said no and left politely. I just wanted out of the room. It was uncalled for—the question. I provided him with sufficient information that he could estimate I was a good human. It was none of his business and I should’ve said so… It felt icky to be asked that question. To be sized up. I mean sized down. I won’t attend sacrament anymore for my kids sake either. The church would be wise to eliminate that particular question. Faithful, believing members only ought to be required to wear garments at the temple. No more shaming and virtue signaling. I am a good mother. I am a good wife. I love my family. I am worthy.

So I have a question that I’m not sure current mormons would feel comfortable answering but I want to provide the best medical care possible. So I work in a highly Mormon community(Gilbert/Mesa, AZ) as a lactation specialist. Many of our clients are Mormon and are pregnant or breastfeeding. I’m never mo but have lived here my whole life and am extremely familiar with mormonism(ie know exactly what happens in the Temple for example).
The nature of my job involves people partially undressing to assist with breastfeeding and sometimes those people are in garments. My understanding is that Mormons are told non-members shouldn’t see their garments and I am curious if there is any instruction on medical settings? Or if I can do anything to help them feel more comfortable. One glance around our office and you can surmise that we are not likely Mormon(for example we have lgbtq+ affirming quotes and pride stickers around the office).
My second question is in regards to materials and styles available and whether it is something I can recommend or comment on? I have heard they make nursing garments but I have never seen a client use them. Is it appropriate to inform clients of this or does this put some of them in uncomfortable situations(for example perhaps they can’t buy them without a current temple recommend). Are there more breathable options? Sometimes we get clients with thrush due to less breathable fabric or clogs and mastitis due to constriction. If this was due to a specific bra I would recommend some different options but I don’t know if this is something I should speak to or how to do so in the most respectful way possible.
Any feedback from y’all especially those who have breastfed or seen a lactation consultant on how to support respectfully would be appreciated. Thanks so much!
Some of the characters in Winnie the Pooh appear to be stuffed with more than just cotton. For example: Tigger is stuffed with rubber and springs, Eeyore’s stuffed with sawdust and Rabbit and Owl might actually be taxidermy mounts. So that begs the question, does the same thing apply to those two?

We have been talking for a few of months about this, and my mental health and body image issues are getting worse. I was not wearing them as much. (In therapy and working with my therapist and Drs)
Today he asked me if we needed to get me maternity garments. (I am pregnant) I told him "Where I am right now, I don't think I will be getting any." I told him my plan to go buy underwear today, he was as always very supportive of my decision. He even went shopping with me.
While driving to and from the store, he reminded me that he loves me no matter what I choose with church. He also reassured me he has no plans of leaving me. (After my anxiety took over and I asked him if he was going to leave if I went inactive.)
Well, this has been a blast. Planned on getting 21 of these and ended up with 38!. So I’ll start working on these mega lols! I am not trading for any more Golems. Thanks all!
