A list of puns related to "Island platform"
Globally, the most common approach to a busway appears to be having then in between the two lanes of traffic of a major roadway, with an island platform serving both directions of travel. This reduces infrastructure cost and overall width of the system. But it necessitates buses with doors on the opposite side to the usual buses, so you need new buses.
To solve this, why not just run the entire busway system with the direction of travel swapped relative to the parallel roadway? So in countries that drive on the right, drive all the buses on the left lanes of the busway? Then you could use the same buses as usual.
Obviously for a BRT system where buses can leave the busway and operate on normal streets, this would necessitate an intersection where the buses swap direction of travel (similar to a diverging diamond interchange), so I can understand that being an issue. But many of the world's BRT systems don't do this precisely because the BRT bus fleet is so different from the local buses.
Does anybody know of any real-world systems that do this? EDIT: I think Istanbul's BRT system does this.
The station is only served by the F, yet has center island platforms with a track Iβm either side in both directions. Was there another train that served it originally?
If you start Jamaica-179st and end at Broad St you can go to every station on every line except for 123, 456 and L, Franklin and Times Sq shuttles, never going up a flight of stairs or leaving a platform.
EDIT: I forgot also the Franklin Ave shuttle has a cross island transfer, and while you can't cross island platform transfer to the Times Sq shuttle you can reach both Times Sq and Grand Central from the 7, making it redundant.
Here's more info dump, because i think putting it all in the title is a bit much.
The timeline may be around 2014-2015, more or less im extremely unsure. The title of the game was like "Save _____" i did the blank, because it was supposed to be a name of the girl whom youre supposed to save, like "Save Aya!" Or something.
After every end of the game, the idol girl would dance in celebration, then you'd move on to a selection of more difficult levels.
I even remember in the halloween updateβ because thats what caused the game to be more memorable to me, (I'll tell you guys later in a second) but basically she was cursed to have several zombie clones of her as an extra addition of an obstacle, if my memoty serves me right.
The reasom why im finding this game is because when i was a kid i used to be play it religiously, idk why. Until the zombie update came in and i completely ditched jt because i was extremely scared of zombies back then. I hope to find it to relive some memories if its still in the app store (highly doubt it is), or just watch gameplays of it for the nostalgia.
Official PvE.
By big I mean 4 metal ocean platforms large.
