A list of puns related to "Intercom (company)"
ENS domains usage is seeing massive adoption, in the last 24 hours alone the CEO of Shopify ($170 BN mcap, Canada's largest company) and the Founder of Intercom (another highly rated company) have created their ENS domains and updated their social media status to reflect it.
These are big moves happening in the space, while the market seems to be down.
Reputed tech founders are signalling they are adopting crypto based technology innovations to thousands of followers.
Just be honest, cowards!
I moved out of my old apartment in November. It had a telecom entry system that linked your mobile phone and that is how you would provide access.
Since I have moved out i am now still being bombarded with calls from the telecom. They have since said if I want my number removed I have to pay them Β£60. Is this legal?
Can anyone advise on a decent company that carry out audio only intercom system repairs or replacements for a shared door to a residential property (terrace with 4 flats) in the Newcastle area?
Really struggling to find anyone who can come out and give a quote, never mind do the work.
It's a public middle school. In FL, what a surprise. Admin often does prayer and "praise the Lord" stuff during announcements. That kind of thing happened when I was in school 15+ years ago but I suppose times haven't changed much.
I am looking at the Hollyland wireless intercom. Does someone try it before? Or any other kind of wireless intercom system recommendation? I am a professional audio equipment commercial company in Greece, and I have clients of sound studios, television, radio and television stations, film companies, live event organizers, etc.
I have a client preparing a project for a LIVE STREAM of 4 hours of a concert by different artists next month. We want to see if any intercom would help the camera operators.
I was fresh out of high school, working as a receptionist for a fancy computer firm. It was my 2nd day on the job and the sales manager approached me and asked if I would announce over the company intercom 'that the Sares meeting is beginning'. I repeated his request back to him and he said, 'not Sares....Saaaaares'. No problem - I picked up the phone and proceeded to announce to the entire building that the 'Saaaaares meeting is beginning'. Immediately I knew IFU because the entire building erupted into laughter. Turns out the poor bastard had a speech impediment and pronounced his 'L's' as 'R's'. Sales meeting....not Saaaaaaares meeting

"Don't worry, someone will be there soon to get you both out"
I have had three parcels in a row "attempted delivery collect from post office" when I have been WFH each time and have an intercom that records missed calls and so I know that they have not even tried to ring the intercom. I made a complaint last time it happened last week and it's happened again today!
I know that they can find the apartment block because not only have they had no issues delivering to us before the last few weeks, but they also leave a card in my mailbox out the front!
What the hell is going on? Are they just refusing to ring apartment intercoms because of COVID-19 lately or something? Does anyone know why this is happening all of a sudden or have any solutions?
I was tempted to just wait outside my apartment and flag the driver down... I've made another complaint but they don't seem to do much anyway.
I've seen some people ask for a list of Enya and Drew's book recommendations/mentions so I decided to make one :) I will try to add to it as episodes come out.

Hey guys,
Just thought I'd share this, it's at least interesting and quite fun, and can even be useful for some:
Get inspired by the early-stage pitch decks of 20 of todayβs most innovative companies (includes pitch decks of Intercom, Airbnb, Buffer):
Title speaks for itself
Now whenever I get a notification, I have a strong urge to say out loud, "Go ahead Major" or "Go ahead Chief"
And actually it's seriously the best notif noise I've used, it's not grating like a chiptone, it's not as weird as a voice line, not as hard to hear as a hum/vibrate, and instantly perks your ears up
Try it
Hi guys,
We recently suffered a lightning strike which damaged our old, unsupported Simplex intercom system. Luckily I revived it by swapping a station card out for a spare one that I had. However, we have an insurance claim ongoing for damaged network switches and this intercom damage which may pay for a replacement intercom system since this one is unsupported and parts are no longer manufactured for it.
What do you all have or use for intercom these days? Ours is a Simplex-Valcom 5100 system with CAT5e cables home-run back to the headend unit in the office. It's a rather critical piece of equipment for our school, being used for 2-way classroom communication and all station announcements including emergency (lockdown/fire) notifications.
I suspect most are using VoIP phones everywhere and that serves as the intercom. Unfortunately we're not there yet... still have an on-site NEC PBX with half digital and half analog lines run all over. I look forward to hearing what others are doing. Thanks!
Anyone know of companies that provide hardware/software combinations to retrofit a condo's buzzer/intercom system to be App Enabled/WiFi Connected?
Looking at buying a new condo where the entry door to the building can currently only be buzzed from each unit (3 units). The builder is refusing to change the system to be app/wifi connected, so I wanted to see if others have used something IN the unit to retrofit this. We want to be able to buzz friends and deliveries in to the building (front door) when we aren't in the building.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Currently unsure of the specific model # they are planning to install, but once I know more, I'll add it.
Thanks.
I'm looking to put intercoms in 8 rooms of a house and am looking to mostly have people in other rooms call over the system. I don't want any door camera involved. Video would be a plus back and forth but not necessary, any input would be appreciated!
I'm thinking of purchasing a HomePod mini, but I'm a little uncertain on some of the intercom features.
I'm hard of hearing so I frequently have to get up and go into the next room when my spouse is trying to tell me something. I was thinking the intercom would help. Do we need two Homepods for this?
My nephew, who does not live with me, is on our Apple family plan. Will the messages I send via intercom go to him as well as my spouse in the next room, or will it remain just btwn those of us I've invited to our "Home"?
I've been researching it, but the articles I'm finding are a bit unclear to me on this.
Thanks!
I'm looking to make an intercom for my single seat race car so that I can talk to a spotter. We both have our licenses, so it's way cheaper than doing a private channel intercom.
My main question - is there any way to program these to be talk-through, sort of like a phone? If not, I know they make some remote PTT buttons I could mount on the steering wheel, but I'd like to avoid that if possible...
