as an Indonesian redditor, Malaysia politics looks very grim... the old-minded/outdated people in the government seat is far too much compare to Indonesian government. and I heard that Indonesian voters tend to try new things by picking different party, while Malaysians voters would prefer the stability like Japan (where one party hold a lot of seats for a long time).
Though I think it's because most Indonesian could be any more careless about party. we tend to vote the individuals who run, not like americans who focus on parties.

So I'm flying back to Jakarta next week from Malaysia (WNI here, fully vaxxed+booster) and with all the restrictions constantly changing I thought I'd check here to see if anybody can help me double check to make sure I have everything sorted. Hopefully this can also help others who are planning on flying into Indonesia soon!
So my current documents are:-
- Negative RT-PCR test results taken maximum 72 hours before departure
- Quarantine hotel confirmation letter+barcode (7 day quarantine)
- Vaccine certificates
Some questions from me:-
- Are there other hard copy documents I should be preparing?
- I don't think they provide the PCR tests in hard copy over here - would a digital version on the Malaysian version of PeduliLindungi suffice?
- Is it true that despite still having to quarantine we also have to wait for the results of our swab at the airport before being allowed to leave? This doesn't seem to make much sense.
My family is also constantly sending me news stories with changing regulations and it's so difficult to figure out what is officially confirmed and what is not so I just get confused. My Indonesian is also not the best to be honest so I am worried I do not understand some of those articles correctly :(
