I've just built my first Activated Indium farm but noticed something weird...

I'm running my base on solar power as there were no EM spots nearby. When the solar panels close down for the night, all my extractors stop mining even though the stored power in the grid (batteries) is really high, anyone know why this is?

My setup contains the following:

33 X Batteries 65 X Solar Panels 16 X Supply Storage 16 X Mineral Extractor

Are the 4 activated elements (Cadmium, Indium, Copper and Emeril) even used for anything? Only one I've seen that's useful is Copper to fix ships modules when you find them broken down
