Simulating Surface Acoustic Waves on Gallium Arsenide
Has anyone had any luck simulating an IDT device to generate Surface Acoustic Waves (SAWs) on Gallium Arsenide? There is a COMSOL tutorial file that does exactly what I need, but on a Lithium Niobate substrate, and I am unable to recreate the simulation with Gallium Arsenide. In order to propagate SAWs on GaAs, the waves must travel in the (110) direction, so an appropriate crystal rotation is necessary (a similar operation is done in the LiNbO tutorial file as well). I assumed this is where my issue was coming from, but I am now confident there is something more to this.
Edit: To clarify a few points about my model, I am using the piezoelectric device module and for this first portion, I am utilizing the eigenfrequency study. I am able to create a functioning simulation on other substrates, so I am sure the physics of my simulation is correct.
