10mW helium-neon laser 632.8 nm with a 2150v 6.5 MA power supply. What fun things, if any, can I do with this. Things other than just pointing it at things and bathing in its red glow.
I googled helium-neon laser but not much came up. What experiments can be conducted with it?
I picked up a metrologic neon laser model ml-869 circa '85 at a reuse store here in town. http://i-fiberoptics.com/laser_detail.php?id=20 Everything works well, modulated, has 1/4" audio in and some sort of video input? I've played with it on a few foggy nights but I'm wondering if /lasers can give me any better ideas of things I can do with this? I've read you cant increase the output of these, so moddings out of the question. I have it on an old equatorial telescope mount at the moment. Any thoughts? Thanks!
