A list of puns related to "Greek American cuisine"
Any Americans of English descent still maintain English traditions by celebrating English holidays and eating English cuisine in the same way that Americans of Irish, Italian, Greek or Scandinavian heritage still maintain their cultural identity through holidays, cuisine and other traditions?
I have never seen such a variety of dishes and specialties before than in America, In other countries you will not find so many types of steak or that kind of marine cuisine, all in different qualities and prices to your own taste. People saying that the food in the United States is bad they are just coping the fact that their own cuisine has been already make it a profitable market accustomed to american taste.
Even a small culture like modern England has a diverse gastronomic culture, geographically and class structurally so, but there is arguably a distinct British:British-Foreign fusion:Foreign interpretation. Eg, sausage rolls:tikka masala:sushi.
During Greek antiquity, was there a sense of differing cuisine throughout the poleis, and also the colonies? Would an Athenian citizen have a sense of "Athenian cuisine vs Corinthian cuisine vs Sicilian cuisine vs Thracian cuisine"?
And why did chicken pot pie in particular survive?
I feel like it’s just made up of other cuisines. Am I wrong or is there a traditional American cuisine somewhere?
I heard that Asian foods are for the fibers, vitamins, antioxidants, proteins, lack of meats and dairies. But I also know a lot of Asian food has those things in there like curry's, a lot of Asian and Japanese foods, I know Thai foods are centered more around vegetables and plants. I don't know which cuisine is the healthiest tho, if it even is an Asian cuisine. So does anyone know lol? This should be a good conversation
Hey everyone, I’m not looking for a specific cookbook per se, but I’m trying to find a cookbook about American cooking that wasn’t published in America. I’m currently researching cooking from around the world and it’s easy to find American or European based chefs write cookbooks about food from other cultures but I’m really curious if there exists a cookbook from another culture that has recipes for American cooking.
Only rule is that you can't pick your own national cuisine. Which Latam country do you choose?
edit: I would probably choose a region where they eat a lot of seafood, maybe the caribbean coast or the atlantic coast.
They used to be in the Farmers Market, but now, I don’t know. Great food though! Has anyone seen them?
Are there any traditional Greek restaurants in the Greater Grand Rapids area? I'm talking dishes like Moussaka, Dolmades, Keftethes, and Pastitsio rather than Greek-American grill (gyros and coneys) or Lebanese/Mediterranean such as Sheshco, Parsley, or Pita House. There used to be one in Alger Heights but it appears to have closed over the past year.
Thank you Edmonton!
