A list of puns related to "Greektown, Baltimore"
I don't know Baltimore as well as i'd like to. An area I know NOTHING about is Greektown.
Tell me about Greektown! If I spend some time there, what should i do? Is it cool to just walk around? Whats unique to the neighborhood? Interesting grocery stores/shops? Good bars and restaurants? What's Happening in Greektown?
Title says it all. Reddit is awesome. Reddit's users are usually awesome. We're looking for someone awesome. I did the fucking math.
Anyway, two story row-home in greektown. Basement room, with your own private bathroom. Rent is $333/mo plus utils.
If you're a fan of Mario Kart 64, you'll definitely want to pounce on this.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, sublease would start at the beginning of March.
EDIT^EDIT: Excerpt from the craigslist ad one of the housemates posted: My roommate and I (both guys) are looking for someone to move into a bedroom in our house by the beginning of March. We live in a nice, three bedroom townhouse in Greektown, Baltimore. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Location is excellent: we are just minutes away by car from Fells Point, Canton, Patterson Park, and the Inner Harbor. For rent like this, you really can't beat the location.
Washer/Dryer in Basement. Cats okay. Rent is $333/month, plus share of utilities.
Ample street parking. You would have your own full bathroom. Directly across the
street from Johns Hopkins Bayview Campus and Patient First. Lots of great
restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
Iβm a young 23 year old new to Baltimore. I live in Greektown and looking for spots in east/south Baltimore where I can go late at night and weekends to meet people. We all know the stigma of fed, canton, and fells and I felt it hard ever since I moved here but canβt find places not all white and fratty and meet people my age.
Iβve tried Remington/Hampden/Station North and like it but want something little closer to home. Any suggestions are welcome, thank you!!!!
Do your worst!
My wife and I will be visiting Baltimore in October. We haven't been to Baltimore in about 10 years. We were thinking we'd see the zoo, have dinner in Greektown and maybe go to the Inner harbor. I'm not sure of a hotel yet- probably out in the suburbs. Could you give us any suggestions?
It really does, I swear!
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
When I got home, they were still there.

This morning, my 4 year old daughter.
Daughter: I'm hungry
Me: nerves building, smile widening
Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
Thank you all for listening.
There hasn't been a post all year!
Hi all,
I'm planning to visit Detroit from Virginia for 'Columbus Day' weekend on an architecture photography trip (I'm an Art Deco fan). I'm actually trying to check off all of these buildings: LINK, and Detroit is only second to New York and Chicago in quantity of them. Namely I want to see these crown jewels:
I'll also be doing a lot of other tourist stuff (DIA, Motown Museum, Fox Theatre, The Henry Ford, Spirit of Detroit, Joe Louis Monument, Greektown Food, Wayne County Building, etc.), but wanted to ask about the area around Fisher Building in general.
I know Downtown is safe, but Fisher seems quite far from Downtown (next to Henry Ford Hospital/Cadillac Place). Google Maps shows lots of new developments in the area, which would indicate people feel safe moving there, but Google just tells me to stay away and that it's dangerous. This isn't my first Rust Belt rodeo and I like a little grit (have visited Baltimore, Buffalo, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland), but I do try to avoid areas where I'm an easy target (since I'll have my Nikon easily visible).
Is this an area where I should be on edge and leave as soon as I'm finished, or is this area generally fine to explore?

Me grabbing a soda from my (what I thought was) half full 12pk...
Notices there's only 2;
Me: "Awe man... This is a damn bird box!" Her: "What the hell does that mean?!" Me: (Pulls both cans out & shows them to her) "It's only got Toucans."
I'm not ashamed to admit the look on her face was glorious.
I was just sitting there doing nothing.
