A list of puns related to "Greater Toronto Area"
Looking for outlets that sell inexpensive loose tea around the greater Toronto area, Canada. Also open to good tea recommendations :D
Hey everyone, Iโm not sure if this is the best place to post, but I inherited my Dadโs vintage Onkyo receiver and turntable from the 80โs. He was super proud of the system and it sounded amazing back in the day! Iโve had the receiver all tuned up and ready to go but the shop I usually go to said the turntableโs stylus arm has a broken gear they canโt fix. The turntable is an Onkyo CP-1044F (automatic direct drive). Does anyone have a good repair shop that they can recommend to bring it to?
Thanks so much!
Hi all, due to COVID, my wife and I ended up getting married in our parents backyard. But, we had a contract with the Manor, that we are selling.
We are selling the $15,300 deposit we have already paid to The Manor (Peter and Paul's venue located on a golf course in Nobleton, Ontario; https://manor.bypeterandpauls.com/). We are looking for $11,000 ($4300 discount) - or next best offer. The contract is completely flexible in terms of date and occupancy, etc. BUT the following conditions apply:
-You must be a new Manor client. This credit cannot be transferred to an existing Manor client
-The credit must be used by the end of June 2024
-The minimum spend of this credit is $35,000 (i.e., you will be responsible for a minimum of $19,700 on top of our deposit). You do not need to keep the same contract and may choose to use this credit for your own guest count, meal, room selection, ceremony (if desired), and bar options as long as you meet the minimum spend.
The venue has many options for a ceremony and/or reception, both either indoor or outdoor, with options to host up to 320 people with a dance floor. Ceremony packages include a choice of indoor or outdoor (gazebo or tent) ceremony location, rehearsal, day-of coordination, and use of the grounds for pictures. Reception packages include day-of coordination, hall rental, food and beverage fees, and table linens and napkins, with options to add and customize everything! Some photos are available here: https://manor.bypeterandpauls.com/gallery

Half curiosity, half wanting to get to know more Moroccans around the area.
As I child, I used to collect a series of older lego sets from Star Wars, City, Agents and Alien Conquest. Does anybody know of any stores in the GTA which sell some of the older sets from 1999 - 2014?
my dad and I are getting my mom a blank vegas jersey for xmas then planning to just get the name and number put on elsewhere as it's cheaper than just buying a lettered jersey, is there anywhere in the GTA where we can get it done? I'm not entirely sure if sport chek does it and I haven't been able to find any info online. thanks :)
With Black Friday having come and gone, and Cyber Monday on the docket, I'm discouraged to see that no bikes were discounted. But I'm not surprised.
With that said, I'm now looking ahead to next year. I'm hoping to have a bike I can take onto "long" rides. I plan on riding on roads, though I wouldn't be surprised if I occasionally get pushed off. Years ago as a graduate student, I would often go for 30km trips, 5 times a week. Life's very different these days, but I'd like to get back to that. I expect I'd also like to install "triathlon handlebars."
I took a quick look at some options and identified this short list. Ideally, I'd like to spend as little as possible, but I'm coming to terms with having to spend $1,500 to $2,000 (though most of these options are stretching my budget). Moreover, most of these bikes are still sold out.
My biggest concern is "durability" and good performance. Based on what I know, the derailleurs are the 'most critical' component when looking for the bike... I could be very wrong.
Thank you in advance--deeply appreciative of your inputs/perspectives.

Hey everyone, does anyone have any recommendations for SMP in the greater Toronto (ON, CAN). I have diffuse thinning hair and just want to fill in some density.
Thank you
I got into the espresso (more americano for me) game this summer after a few years of making cold and ice brew preferring Yirgacheffe light/medium roast.
I got a used Gaggia classic that was modified for 9 bar. I've tried various beans from $15-$20/lb blends and single origin to the Lavazza supermarket beans.
I have it down to 18g of coffee making 32g of espresso in around 25-30 seconds.
The spent pucks had uneven colouring so I got a VST basket and the colouring is even now. I spent a couple of evenings installing an Auber preinfuse/brew/steam unit, set the sensor temp for 105C/221F.
I find espresso too strong and mouth puckering/tongue tensing. I find watering down brings out more flavours but I'm not sure what should be considered generally good/great. People talk about "sweet" in here. I haven't experienced that. I think I'm a "super taster" and can usually pick out spices and ingredients in food that I eat.
I usually make it a point to try an americano anywhere that looks like they actually do coffee (second cup, starbucks, balzac's, apple annie/mariposa market in Orillia, place in Niagara on the lake come to mind). The only thing I can discern is that bitter and sour are minimal but I'm still left with a taste that I generally consider coffee.
I want to know where I can get a really good or great espresso in this region of the world so I can set my benchmark.
edit, adding that my grinder is a Eureka mignon facile.
