A list of puns related to "Frank Ferrer"
He kind of ruins some of the songs. He just doesn't have the right feel for Guns N' Roses and makes it really hard for Slash to solo in the style he's most comfortable with sometimes. His fills are mediocre and most of the songs feel very rushed because of him... I really wish either Sorum or Adler would just come back, but at this point I think we just need a drummer who fucking understands the style and feel of Guns N' Roses. I don't mean to be a whiny bitch but this concert is really important to me and it's most likely the last time we'll ever see them perform together again so if they're gonna do it, I want it done right. The fact that he rushes every song almost seems like they're just doing it for work, as opposed to taking their time with it and actually enjoying it.
I can't be the only one who thinks this.
I mean, I get that the general consensus here is that any drummer who plays with Axl not named "Steven Adler" and "Matt Sorum" would get a huge amount of flac but I'm part of the minority who actually likes his playing style. I'm watching vids of his playing prior to this Not In This Lifetime tour and the guy really has some serious chops.
And besides, the fact that he has been playing with Axl Rose longer than Adler/Sorum did means he's doing something right.
Seriously, time to give the guy some props and lessen the hate train towards him now. Go watch the latest videos of the 3/5 reunion and compare it to the first 2 months this lineup has gone on tour. Frank has significantly improved
Just to get this out of the way, even tho Duff himself confirmed it that a new GNR album is happening, I'm still skeptical that it will happen (I mean come on, its a band with Axl Rose we're talking about). If it does happen, I think we can all assume that its going to be an Axl-Slash-Duff collaboration album with Frank, Richard and Dizzy (?) being session musicians.
I know, I know. He's the most hated member of the Not In This Lifetime lineup and probably the most hated drummer of GNR but think about it- Ferrer isn't being hated on his qualities as an overall drummer.. he is being hated on based on the fact how he interprets songs that were recorded by Adler and Matt. IF GNR is pushing through the new album, it somehow gives Frank "clean slate".
He would be the first drummer to record the new album's songs therefore there's no comparison on him to sound like anybody else. NITL isn't much of an honest assessment of what he can do as a drummer since he's binded by pre-written parts so it would be cool if he were to show more of himself in the new album.
Writing an album that is centered around Ferrer's drumming abilities would be more interesting as opposed to making him be a human drum software. And lets be honest, this album wouldnt be much of an impact to the careers of Axl, Slash, and Duff since their career highlights were from AFD-UYI I and II so might as well give Ferrer his "redemption arc" on this one.
I know majority hates this guy but come on. The fact that Axl sticked with him for a decade means he was able to do something right.
What i like about Ferrer is that he gives his own personal spin to a song while still showing respect to Adler and Sorum's parts. I honestly think hes very underrated. π
I've been watching the reunion vids and there are always bashing him. So what's the deal?
I say cut him some slack. If he sucks so much then why did Axl stick with him for the past decade and still include him in the reunion? Think about it, Axl could have hired other drummers he worked with like Brain Matia or Josh Freese but still he chose to stick with Frank so Frank must be doing something right.
Today is Frank Ferrer
This is a daily thread where we will collectively post our favorite moments of each member's career, whether that be GNR or not. Any moment in their whole career works great. Multiple are acceptable as well Links are much preferred if possible, but any way to express your favorite moment is great. This is for discussion, so be nice, this IS NOT a competition. If you don't like the member, or have no favorite moments, use this thread to open your mind and maybe watch some and learn about the member, if not, wait till the next guy(or gal).
The order will be in the comments because this will already be too long. Have fun! And GO!
I take back all I've said about him. Kickass drummer. I'll take him over Sorum.

#The final pre-Abramovich Chelsea squad - who survived, and what was left of them?
The recent takeover of Newcastle United by a Saudi Arabia-led consortium has led to discussion of which members of the Newcastle squad will be retained in their new era - which will likely see significant turnover of players and a gluttony of big-money signings.
This draws an obvious comparison to Chelsea in 2003, when Roman Abramovich went on a spending spree following purchasing the London club, the likes of which has not been seen in the English game before or since.
Frank Lampard and John Terry were notable examples of players who crossed the divide between old and new Chelsea, remaining stalwarts of the club for years to come and forging their legend under the new regime. Then there are the likes of Robert Huth and Carlo Cudicini, who stayed at the club but saw their role in the squad change. Then there were the players jettisoned in that first summer, deemed surplus to requirements.
The following OC takes a look at the members of the Chelsea squad at the end of the 2002/03 season (immediately after which Abramovich brought the club) whether they stayed at the club that summer, and if so how long they remained a participant of the Roman Revolution.

Itβs May 22, 1999. Matchday 35 of La Liga season 1998/1999, FC Barcelona plays with Deportivo AlavΓ©s in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The result (4-1 win for us, if youβre curious) doesnβt matter - what matters is that we won the league. So there is a trophy, and there is a celebration.
Look at their faces. They obviously donβt know yet that another 6 years will pass before any Barcelona player raises this trophy again.
Weβve grown so used to BarΓ§a winning - to the splendid shows of absolute dominance, to being the most lauded and at the same time the most hated club in Europe, that we have forgotten it wasnβt always like this. And Iβm not talking only about the faraway past of the clubβs early years. The previous transition period, a total generational change in the clubβs squad and staff, happened not all that long ago. And perhaps there are a few lessons we could learn along the way - especially about making smart choices, allowing people time to work, and not expecting miracles right away. So letβs take a look at the period of great sadness that lasted from 1999 to 2005, check out what happened, and compare to our current situation, shall we?
Word of warning: this is not meant to be an in-depth study of the period. Think of this post as your CliffsNotes edition of BarΓ§a history, something short-ish and condensed rather than a full-blown essay with analysis and stats. I am, however, putting the whole list of sources and references at the end of this post for your convenience - though for some reason this rather bleak time isnβt much talked about.
Another thing is that I needed a frame for this post so Iβm covering only the ground between two La Liga trophies: 1999 and 2005. I won't touch upon what happened later because if I start writing about Rosell, itβll turn into a rant and then Iβll angrily go on to the Bartomeu era so before you know it weβre 20 pages in and no end in sight. Not happening. This time, at least.
So where do we start?
The management? The team? The reasons it all went wrong? But wait, if you donβt know anything about this period, youβre probably wondering what the hell am I even talking about. So how about this: between that La Liga trophy of 1998/99, and the same trophy from 2004/05 FC Barcelona did not win any major honors.
We finished 2nd in the domestic league twice (1999/2000 and 2003/2004), 4th also twice (2000/01, 2001/02), and
... keep reading on reddit β‘To honor the 1st anniversary of my growing cell hiding out elsewhere, Iβve scoured the many corners of the wiki to compile this Assassinβs Creed Calendar of sorts, wherein Iβve noted every birthday and death day for all Assassins, Templars, and a handful of important friends that have been given a hard date up to this point!
Because of its heft on certain days of the year, I wasnβt able to throw all this into a colorized PDF calendar like I wanted (yet?), so apologies for this format. But now with how many we have, Iβd be interested to hear if any of you share a birthday with any of these guys? Not to mention, we could practically pick any day of the year and have a βreligious holidayβ excuse to give to our bosses. ;)
If your favorite doesnβt appear here, check the fandom wiki, check their actual Wikipedia entry if they have one, and if I missed one with a notable official date for either their birthday or death day, tell me and Iβll add em to this already numerous list!
Enjoy alllll the Assassin & Templar Birthdays and Death Days I could find!
Do your worst!
EDIT: I cut and pasted this from the article itself and it looks like it has been EDITED since I posted this. I did not make this up or insert words in the article. Maybe Matt's people took it out of the book and asked the article to be adjusted.
It's still in the google results for it, here's a screenshot to prove it:
βAxl wants to use his drummer [Frank Ferrer],β Sorum remembers Duff telling him. βBut the guy canβt even play drums. Iβve got to talk to Axl and say I really canβt play with this guy.β
βGo to Axl and tell him you want me on drums,β Sorum responded. βPeriod. Nowβs the time.β
βOh, man,β Duff replied in a soft voice. βI already signed the deal.β
It was an agonizing gut punch, but Sorum says heβs gotten over it. βIβve come to terms with the fact that theyβre doing their own thing, and Iβm doing mine,β he tells Rolling Stone. βI canβt say that when it went down, I was completely happy with the circumstances. At the same time, I feel really good about my time in the band.β
It really does, I swear!
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
