A list of puns related to "Franck–Hertz experiment"
My intuition says, at the multiples of 4.9 volts the current should be at its local minimum.
As the electrons are accelerated through the potential difference, they must first gain enough energy to excite neon into the first excited state. Instead of exciting it though, they continue to gain energy until they can exicte into a higher exicted state (which then emits visible light at it drops into the aforementioned first excited state). Why is this the case?
The Hertzian oscillator sent sparks across a small gap between wires (shown in the link).
Why were there big Zinc spheres on either end of those wires?
Hertz Car Sales Rent2Buy
Hi y’all,
I bought a “new used” 2020 Nissan Rogue SV - I know, I know, Reddit you can be annoyed at me now(I am aware of the transmission woes)... Anyways, I’ll get to the point. :) I thought I’d share with you my experience of purchasing a car via Hertz Car Sales/ Rent2Buy because I couldn’t find much when researching and wanted to add a post about it just Incase others were looking into this as well. I got this car right as Hertz was declaring bankruptcy and have had it for a month now. Edit: Bought it late May. I would recommend looking into getting a Hertz rental as the process was nice and easy (for the most part)!
The Hertz buying experience (and some personal details after that) and feel free to ask me questions if you have any!:
1- You reserve your car doing the “Rent to Buy” online. I chose to do this so that I could have 3 days to rent the car and see if I actually wanted it before purchasing. Now, they will tell you that your car “Will be ready in 5 days and that the Hertz location will call you to let you know it’s ready.” Well, the thing is be prepared to possibly not get your car the day they tell you it will be ready because it is STILL a rental and might be out being rented.
My car was not ready in 5 days, but became available in 8 days. So I had to wait around which was fine with me but just wanted to let y’all know that you’ll have to be flexible. My Hertz sales guy said he wasn’t sure where the car was which was sort of annoying so you’ll just have to be patient honestly.
2- I showed up to pick up the car. The process was really easy as the Hertz sales guy gave me the keys and made me go to the rental section of Hertz to “rent the car” for 3 days. How it worked was they make me put it in like it’s a rental at $50/day. If I return the car and don’t buy I pay the $50/day. If I BUY the car then they take off the $50/day charge. So, I took it off the lot easily and drove it for 3 days. You can also get it checked by a mechanic during that time. The car was in good shape and only had like two dings on the car other than that clean and fine inside! I enjoyed the car and knew I wanted to buy.
3- Called up my car sales guy saying I wanted to buy. In Texas I had to take it to get inspected and then to the Hertz sales. The short inspection - forgot what it was called exactly - is required in Texas and Hertz pays for it.
4- Car went to get detailed and cleaned for a final time and I signed the paperwork for the

However, is the electron really just radiating a photon that excites the atom? --and that is where the energy is lost to rather than assuming a "classical" collision?
I finally made a reservation to pickup my vehicle with Hertz roughly two weeks from now, and I've been told to bring my phone (with Lyft Driver app), my driver's license, and the debit/credit card I used to pay my rental deposit.
Now, I'm per wondering what stands between me and success at this upcoming appointment. I've already passed my background check and DMV check, but I'm worried that there may still be some possibe way that I'll be denied for when I go to pick up my rental.
Could you guys maybe shed some light on this for me? Perhaps ease my worries or share any instances you know of where someone fouled up their rental plans at the last second by falling short of some trivial criteria?
Take care!✌️
There you go, as a sci-fi writer, I find it absolutely fascinating to listen to these two dudes talking about their creative process writing these mind-blowing books :

Over the years, it's become commonplace for people to speculate on who could finish A Song of Ice and Fire in the event of George R.R. Martin being unable to complete it. The old favourite choice was Brandon Sanderson, who completed The Wheel of Time after Robert Jordan's passing, despite Brandon strenuously ruling himself out on many occasions (he likes GRRM as a writer, but is not keen on graphic sex and swearing, and has never even read past A Game of Thrones in the series, whilst he was a lifelong Robert Jordan fan).
The default next choice was Daniel Abraham. Abraham was, of sorts, a protege of George R.R. Martin's and an occasional collaborator, writing in the Wild Cards setting and finishing an old manuscript that Martin and Gardener Dozois had abandoned in the early 1980s called Shadow Twin (and later rewriting the entire thing himself as the novel Hunter's Run). Abraham also became a critically-acclaimed fantasy author in his own right, penning the excellent Long Price Quartet and the very solid Dagger and the Coin series, as well as a new fantasy trilogy beginning next year.
Abraham is also the author of the Song of Ice and Fire comic adaptation and was also the person who suggested that GRRM split A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons when the manuscript was too big to be published in one volume. He's one of Martin's most trusted confidantes, and one of the few people who knows anything about how ASoIaF ends (since GRRM trusted him with the info he needed to know which book storylines to focus on in the comic, and which ones could be lowballed).
Abraham really exploded into fame when he joined forces with Ty Franck (GRRM's former assistant and another Wild Cards collaborator) to write a space opera based on a science fiction RPG campaign. The result was The Expanse, produced under the pen-name James S.A. Corey, which has extended to eight bestselling novels so far (the last book in the series is complete and launches in 2021). As a team they've also written a Star Wars novel and are writing a new, far-future SF trilogy as well. The Expanse is also a hit TV show, currently airing its fifth season on Amazon Prime. The sixth and final season airs in 2022.
With Abraham and Franck being critically-acclaimed authors in their own right and having unique, close access to GRRM and already-existing foreknowledge of how the series ends, they (either Abraham alone or the pair of them) were the n

I got offered a job at Hertz for 11/hr but guaranteed 40/hrs a week plus benefits and paid time off/vacation, also it's 3 minutes away from my house. The second position is a shift lead at Jersey Mike's for 12.75 and "at least 36 hours" with no benefits or paid time off/vacation.
I've already accepted the Hertz job but not formally brought on, and Jersey Mike's says I can start ASAP.
I really have no clue what to do here and would love any input.
I'm old enough to remember that when a public co goes bankrupt current shareholders gets zero under new recapitalized company but many "reports" of 8/share to current Hertz shareholders. LMFAO
anyone that buys based on this "report" deserves all their losses.
Franck Kessié, AC Milan’s midfielder who has shown that he is an important piece of coach Stefano Pioli’s starting lineup, has granted an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Here are his words:
On why is he really called a president?
“Once I arrived at Milanello, I parked in Gazidis’ spot. They told me it couldn’t be done, I said ‘What’s the problem? I’m the new CEO of Milan.”
On his spot at AC Milan as an important player:
“Well, Milan signed me, a sign that they saw something in me. But playing for Milan is not easy, and then a new coach arrived asking for things that needed to be understood. It took some time, not for just me. When a different technician arrives, it means that the moment is complicated. All the more reason we need to pay a lot of attention.”
On his idol:
“This is easy. It is Yaya Touré.”
On the match against Red Star:
“The 2-2 away tie is not bad. We could have done better, but there is still a comeback. Now, there is the match against Inter.”
On his favourite derby:
“The one won with a goal from Cutrone at the last minute.”
A player he would like to bring to Milan from a rival team:
“Nobody. All our players will be decisive.”
On Ibrahimovic:
“From a technical point of view he is unsurpassed and as a companion he always gives you something more. He always puts his face to it, it doesn’t often happen to find champions with this personality.”
On the difficulty of the Scudetto race, are you worried?
“No. There are still many games to go. It seems that there are many difficulties, but we will win the derby and return to the top of the standings. We are a group that has grown through difficulties, we work hard and believe in the Scudetto. In Italy, everyone knows by now, you can win against the first and lose with the last in the standings.”
On racism, did you see any of it in Ibra-Lukaku fight? Did you live the experience of racism in Italy?
“Actually, I did not feel uncomfortable.”
If there is a penalty in the derby, who is shooting it?
“Ibrahimovic, and he will be happy with the outcome.”
After your career, would you like to be the president of your country, the Ivory Coast, or of Milan?
“They both seem like difficult and demanding tasks. Let’s see when my career ends.”
On his relationship with George Weah, an African Milan legend who has become really a president of his country Liberia:
“He is an idol for many Africans. My idea is also his and that of many othe
