WHY did LE tell the Rausch family on 2/11 Wednesday eve that Maura was headed to, and already IN Ohio? What they DID say, has never been mentioned much again......
"When the Rauschs insisted the call was not ARC, then they were all told that the police believed that Maura was upset with her family and that she was already IN Kenton OH, ON her way to the Rausch residence (again the Rauschs disputed this because Kenton is Northwest of them, and they asked if they perhaps meant Canton, and the officer became hostile and said there was no Canton OH - fyi Canton is Northeast of the Rauschs and would have made some sense)." Canton is about a 1.5 hr drive from the Rausch residence on the way from UMass.....
This ranks right up there with the idea that LE thought BR WAS the PRIME SUSPECT, 2 days later when he was stationed in the Army 1700 miles away, and had just flown into New England. Putting everything into context, the Rausch family dropped everything, with information that Maura's college Saturn had been found abandoned in NH, and spoke with NH LE the evening of 2/11 Wednesday....
3 GIANT pieces of weirdness automatically jump out here. It was a local LE issue until NHSP became involved on 2/11 Wednesday. In a VERY short amount of time, they were flip flopping the ENTIRE script. Lets see....To all else it was Maura drove her car to NH, upset and leaving college for a week, spun out and hit (insert idea here), then VANISHED in mere minutes. Sounds familiar to everyone right?
BUT, while the Rausch family is sitting in the PD Wednesday eve, LE has a different narrative to put forth to them different from public perception, all 3 of which the Rausch family spilled out themselves quite quickly....

BR is the PRIME SUSPECT. Both Sharon and BR came out of there and stated this feeling. This does NOT sound like LE welcomed their help in finding Maura at all, EVEN IF they both had been fighting or whatnot.....

The whimper call was NOT Maura, and was the Red Cross. I dont know how LE established this right away, but they seemingly were deflecting all insinuation that it WAS Maura calling BR a day or 2 later, after crashing her car...

Maura was heading towards Ohio. Now obviously we have a big issue. Fred had arrived to search also on Wednesday, YET LE tells the Rauschs that Maura was headed to "Kenton" Ohio. Obviously Canton is the town on the way, NOT Kenton. Either way, LE ALREADY HAD info of this action. Which does NOT line up with Maura
The toy was what I think was handheld sized (about the size of the etch-a-sketch), and I owned it when I was a kid in the late 2000s, but it must've been older than that, because the technology seemed very outdated. It had a text-to-speech type voice, a non-backlit screen, and played the tune three blind mice. It was always out of batteries, so I don't know if it actually sounded like this, but I've uploaded a sound file of me trying to replicate the sound in a text-to-speech type program. Long shot but does anyone ride this trail system often? Wondering how well signed the beginner trails are, and if there is potential for toddler rides in there as well?
Starting to prep my 4 year old to ride some trails, and her dads pretty new to the sport too. Any info is appreciated!
