A list of puns related to "Firefly (TV series)"
Hi friends, "Firefly" is my favourite show of all time. A mottley crew of outlaws and their adventures at the edges of civilised space.
Doesn't have to be a sci-fi, though it's a big plus. My nicotine patche after "Firefly" was "Leverage" if that helps (group of outlaws doing heists in the name of justice!)
In audio drama world, I'd point to "Wolf 369" as something that fell in those lines somewhat, the daily lives and mysteries of a crew living on a remote space station 8 light years from anyone else.
I don't need the hero(es) to saaaave the wooorld... The stakes don't need to be high to be high. Running out of water can be more dramatic than Alderaan exploding.
Cheers!
Hi all, I love the Firefly TV Series and I was bummed when they got cancelled. I found some novels today at Barnes and Noble but they seem to get moxed review.
What are some books thay have a similar feel as the TV series. Graphics novels are good too! Maybe something that serves as a sequel too?
For those of you who don't already own a digital copy of the series, Firefly is on sale at Google Play for $5.00. https://play.google.com/store/tv/show?id=xNs-Ugf4fsc

Not only is Morenaβs acting the weakest amongst the whole crew, but her character is boring and serves no purpose other than being Malβs romantic interest. And itβs not all the actressβ fault, itβs bc Joss whedon have no idea how to write feminine female character, nor does he know how to direct them. And the lack of chemistry between Nathan Fillion and Moreno didnβt help neither.
Basically a small group of tightly knitted underdogs (group of smugglers in firefly's case) in a big, unforgiving universe.
Last night I loaded up the Firefly soundtrack and had that as background music while playing. It was awesome and fit perfectly! Highly recommend.
Hey all!
Im just looking for songs/artists similar to those styles of music, especially if they are instrumental. Its a folk and cowboy sort of feel to it. Thanks!
For reference:
Don't get me wrong, I really like this show and it had an huge amount of potential. However... it never got to live up to that potential. I have never seen so many people so obsessed with a show that only lasted one season.
So having spent the last 3 months watching some of the TV shows that inspired SCs creation all I can say is wow. Those shows were amazing, so full of emotion, Humor and deep character arcs. I have renewed enthusiasm for this game now ( not that I had lost much in the first place though) Highly recommend anyone who's missed either of these three, treat yourself.
Iβm gonna go with Chernobyl and Derry Girls
I have now learned two things
The disappointment that comes with knowing that this show is never going to have a proper follow up season.
"I'll be in my bunk" is a meme that originated from this show.
Truly an amazing show. The first episode was alright but the rest of the season was addictive. It's a shame "Early" showed up so late in the show, he was such an eccentric, horrifying, yet oddly charismatic character. I can't believe Serenity is not on Netflix though, I swore it was on there a few months ago.
So I love Firefly, the camaraderie is probably the aspect I enjoy most. I read all of The Expanse, and waiting for the next book coming out in two weeks.
What are some other books (series preferably) that has a similar atmosphere in regards to character-driven plots? Sci-fi is my favorite genre, but fantasy is a close second. Mostly looking for that kind of theme rather than the specific genre.
I looked at the Wayfarer series by Becky Chambers, that seems good, but I got two weeks to figure out what series to delve into next.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated, please no spoilers and try to elaborate as to why you recommend rather than just a book/series title. Thanks!
The title pretty much says it all. Do you think he should?
Possibly a reboot of the entire series, since the actors and actresses of the original series/movie have moved on. Another possibility would be a tie-in with a game series. A third-person adventure/rpg game with squad capabilities.
An aside to /u/MajorNelson - sorry but you opened a can of worms there. I'm not a huge fan of this show, but it seems to have a huge, rabid following that would love to see its return.
I won't start a new thread for this, but I personally would love to see a TV show based upon the Fallout series.
