A list of puns related to "Fibula (brooch)"
Picture Fibula from around year 500 AD, found in southern Denmark.
Tibia: Classic fib.
Hi everyone,
Recently broke my fibula after slipping and falling where I parked my car after work due to a leaking fire hydrant. Went to urgent care right away where they put me on a soft cast and did x rays. MD at urgent broke the bad new to me.
Went to see an orthopedist today, he did a stress test and saw my bone did move a bit indicating tendon damage. Orthopedist recommended surgery because Iβm a young guy and could have develop arthritis when I get older.
However, I donβt want to get surgery. I would be out of work for at least 3 months, and I canβt afford that. I ironically work as an occupational therapist in rehab.
So, my question is, do I really need to get surgery? Itβs such a big decision and Iβm a relatively young guy. Also, can I file for disability in the mean time? This whole process is so new to me.
I am just grateful to be in the post-season this year with all the 9 layers of hell (dip).
If we somehow get a win in Cincy there could be a possibility where Mariota can come back to Nashville.
Always respected you guys so hopefully you can crush whoever you face (and if we do play, it is a great game with no injuries or controversies).
Have fun with your weekend off!
I broke both bones on the 2nd. I finally had surgery where they put a rod in my leg. I am home now but am having a hard time moving my leg myself. I donβt know what to do. It hurts to put my leg down. I have only been home 1 day but Iβm having a really hard time.
Also, my apartment doors are too small to fit the wheelchair I was sent home with. So I canβt use that to get around.
Edit: I was actually able to get up today. I used the walker to get into the wheelchair. The physical therapist came out to do the initial meeting. I think it went well. My next appointment is next week.
Thank you so much for your advice. This is my first broken bone and it is very overwhelming at times. I really appreciate everything! This has helped me a lot.
Hello everyone! After a tough 10 weeks, I am happy to report that my ankle has finally healed. My doctor has recommended that I stop using crutches and take off my boot in 3/4 days as and when Iβm comfortable! This is 2 weeks before our initial plan to get rid of the crutches and boot. I tried baby steps in sneakers with my PT and without the boot and I have to admit it feels very strange and a little unnatural but iβm excited to continue practicing and get back to my normal form eventually. Sending hope and happy healing to everyone!
So I am 3 months postop and I am having a ton of pain on my fibula side of my leg. My fibula looks and feels like it is at least a 1/4 inch if not a 1/2 inch longer than my tibia. It is about a fingers width longer no joke. Anyone else have this issue? Am I screwed if my prosthetist canβt make accommodations for it? Is a revision most likely in my future? Thanks in advance
