Hey, Hej, Tere, I am moving to your wonderful country soon and I have some questions. I know there are plenty of other posts that have a more practical bend to them, so I'll skip all of that.
I'm more interested in the existential, social, and political issues that are churning in Estonia. I've heard some about the issues surrounding ethnic Russians and integration into Estonian society. Along those lines, one of my questions concerns the threat of Russia(Putin) in general to Estonian society. Do people have a noticeable worry about a possible invasion?
I know that Estonia is a part of NATO, which is a big signal to Russia that it should fuck-off; however, I've read that nearly a quarter of Estonia's population is ethnically Russian and some keep strong ties to Russia. I've also read that there are politicians that do a lot of pandering towards these Russian-Estonians. How big of an issue is this in Estonian society? Are there a lot of social conflicts around this issue? Fighting?
I'll be moving to Tallinn –which is a bonafide international city–so I don't imagine I'll experience much in the way of prejudice; however, I'm interested in the local tolerance for outsiders. I'm a fair-skinned, Anglo-looking, man. I don't suspect I'll have problems fitting in visually; yet, I know as soon as I speak, the cut of an English-speaking American captures all nearby ears. I haven't encountered much prejudice in Sweden, where I currently live, outside of a few "I hate America/ns" remarks. Should I expect more of the same in Estonia?
Sweden has some problems with emerging gang violence. The US has a lot of gang violence and state violence. Both societies have this kind of turmoil. Is there any similarity in Estonia? I've read it is safe and I haven't heard anything about gang violence, nor gangs.
I'm interested in whatever opinions you may have about what is going on in Estonia, no matter how disagreeable they may be. Hopefully, this isn't too contentious, but please tell me which -if any- problems you think one ought to know before they move to Estonia.

I can't tell you how disappointed everyone is that the January and February shows can't go ahead. The decision to postpone the tour was unexpected and unavoidable but we are already working hard to reschedule the shows for later this year. If the new dates no longer work for you then refunds will be available, but the plan is that wherever possible your current tickets will remain valid, so please be patient while we get everything into place and I will update you on the new plan just as soon as I can.
