Your mental well-being is a million times more important than being good at a board game.
Itβs alarming how many posts there are that typically get deleted with users asking for advice about their depression, anxiety and more due to chess. Kindly, it is just a board game. Thatβs it. If youβre bad at it is does not mean you arenβt brilliant - it just means you arenβt good at this board game right now. If youβre good at chess, it doesnβt mean youβre brilliant; youβre good at the board game. Your not saving humanity, cutting out a rare tumor, curing cancer, building rocket ships, saving or extending peopleβs lives; youβre winning at chess. Stop playing if you get to the point where you notice it affecting your mental health.
A board game is not worth it.
Edit effecting
Is there a simulation software we could use that would allow us to write code and estimate the number of logic gates we need to run it in an FPGA?
Edit: Thank you for all your responses! I appreciate all your help!

The data came from Board Game Geek, including the thumbnails of the games. I did some hunting on BGG to find higher resolution AND first edition images, so these might bring back fun memories. I made the graph with Datawrapper and added the images using PowerPoint (I had to learn how to increase the DPI to make them readable).
This graph shows some interesting trends and important years.
There appears to be a steep drop in the last few years. This is because I am sorting by the number of ratings, so we can assume that it takes a game two or three years to really catch on with a wide audience. Iβm interested to see how the more recent games--Azul, Root, Wingspan, and Gloomhaven--affect upcoming trends.
This is my first ever data visualization, but I'd like to do a lot more about the trends in modern Board gaming! Please let me know if you have any advice on making graphs like
... keep reading on reddit β‘I'm looking for a software that I can use for brainstorming ideas and making concept designs. It'd be great if there was one that allowed to me embed video links and images.
I looked over the top google results but nothing seemed quite what I was looking for.
Thank you
Think about it, this could spawn a whole coin betting system based on if s show is good when it premieres.
Imagine holding Game Of Throne coin since season one, make 10000% gains by season 7, and then season 8 happening.
Abandon 'ship a band on-ship a banned donship' - abandon ship!

I haven't played BL3 but I heard it can be pretty intensive on GPU's?
Interesting to see how this turns out if real, I don't think PEGI makes mistakes like this usually.
EDIT:
Turned out this game is originally titled "Virtua Fighter esports" according to the Korea rating board.
I'm not sure if this means the game is titled "esports" in japan, and will be released as "ultimate showdown" in Korea and some other countries,
or the game was submitted as 'esports' initially and was later filed for change to 'ultimate showdown'.
But we at least now know this is that esports thingy that Sega's talked about at TGS last year
