A list of puns related to "Emitter"
I guess I'm not the only one who occasonally likes to put a flashlight against their palm and turns it on turbo to make the hand glow. It's quite fun and like an X-Ray bought on Wish.
I've done this probably with all my lights and it has never been a problem. I just turn the light off after a few seconds when it gets uncomfortable.
Today I recieved my tintramping D4V2 with deep red and deep blue emitters and I was really curious if my hand would glow at all if I shined at it with the deep blue emitters. Huge mistake.
Like the idiot I am I didn't ramp up slowly but turned it on full blast. It instantly felt like I pushed a needle through my hand. To everyones surprise the red flesh didn't glow at all and converted all of the light into heat.
My main takeaway: physics will hunt my curious ass to the grave.
It's gonna be nightstand light, so I really want a warm light at least 2700k, but I'm leaning more toward a 2000k. Moonlight is a biggie, and obviously it has to tail stand. I initially wanted a d4sv2, but there's no option for any 2000k LED. So my second choice is the dt8 because of the 8 LEDs. I'm thinking about getting 4 2000k and 4 27000k.
So here are a few questions:
Theoretically, is the dt8 more efficient with the 8 LEDs as opposed to a d4v2 or d4sv2?
What's the difference between tint ramping and dual channel? I mean, I know the difference, but has tint ramping replaced dual channel in that I just ramp to one color temperature or the other depending on what I'm wanting? The reason I want 2000k/2700k combo is so that I can use 2700k around the house at night, and 2000k on night stand with the candle ore sunset mode.
(Bonus question, depending on the answer above) if tint ramping is the way to go, am I better off to go with like a 2000k/4500k? I've heard that a combo like that is is super rosy plus, I would get the warmth for the evening.
Which emitters? I'm really torn between the e21 and 219b. Which one do you all suggest?
Ideally, I would just for for a dual channel dt8, with 2000k/2700k combo. For this particular purpose, I don't see tint ramping being that important. But then again, that's why I'm asking you all? What do you all suggest?
While trying to decide on which Convoy light(s) to buy, I happened upon the Convoy Flashlight Naming Guide on Daveβs Tech Reviews, which was a big help.
Along those lines, I was wondering if anyone knows of some sort of published guide for a newb to all (or most of) the diodes used in flashlights, that would show and compare their characteristics, because part of the fun of this is getting to pick your emitter based on throw or flood, and color temperature, current draw, voltage capability, etc.
Thanks!
