A list of puns related to "Donkey Kong 64"
Finally after 3 months of no 101 PBs, the drought is over! Keeping the N64 main category WR sweep strong and optimized. On to 100 Golden Bananas Moveless! Donkey Kong 64 101% in 5:28:30 (N64 World Record)
So I was playing DK64 for Donkey Kong December and I was in Frantic Factory. I was playing as Lanky getting the blueprint. As soon as I beat the kasplat, for a split second, I saw a 3D model of the blueprint before picking it up. I wish I had a picture or video but I am playing on Wii U VC. Anyway, this also happened later while playing as Diddy collecting his blueprint. Is this a beta object or was it intended to have it be a 3D model but it didn't work?
The reason for this poll is to compare it to the official score.
The gameβs story:
βHmmmβ¦well, I have to hand it to them. This time theyβve managed to come up with a decent storyline that doesnβt involve the usual golden bananas. Only joking kids! This oneβs worse than all the previous efforts put together! I know you probably arenβt expecting a best seller, but wait tilβ you hear this load of rubbishβ¦β
The pause menu/status screen:
βI knew theyβd have to have something like this. The Kongs will be so weighed down with all the garbage they have to collect, I canβt see them getting past the second level. You can view all this silly nonsense and some other stuff I donβt understand by pressing START during your game.β
Multiplayer:
βItβs true, Iβm afraid. Theyβve gone and included one of those awful multiplayer modes that seem to be all the fashion these days. This means you and some other whippersnappers can huddle round your flickering screen and play a few games that I reckon were thrown in at the last minute and will be average at best.β
The Nintendo 64 controller:
βArrgh! What is that thing? There are too many buttonsβ¦ and this wobbly stick-thing feels like itβs broken! I canβt believe players use this silly controller contraption to play games!β
Under header βCrankyβs Tipsβ:
βTough luck kid. Iβve been told to keep my mouth shut, as they want to keep all the good stuff for a money-making strategy guide. Iβm sure some of it will appear on that newfangled βinternetβ thing as well, so I suggest you take a look-see there. You could also ask your friends, assuming of course youβve got any. If all else fails, youβll just have to play better.β
His role in the game (He gives you new abilities):
βNow donβt you go asking me for a potion of gameplay, as even my genius canβt rescue this game from itβs rightful destiny in the bargain bin.β
Funky Kongβs role:
βLazy, rude and loud he may be, but Funky the monkey stocks the necessary firepower youβre gonna need to blast your way through the collection of mediocrity known as the levels.β
βFunky stocks the following shooters, all of which can hopefully be upgraded, if you can get that far into the game without falling asleep.β
Golden Bananas, the main collectable:
βIf you find more than ten, Iβll be surprised.β (Thereβs 201 in the game.)
Animal Crates (Which allow you to play as different animals):
βI just hope theyβve included poor old Winky and Expresso this time instead of that bone-brained rhino that always seems to get in the games.β (Winky and Expresso are, in fa
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hey guys, I don't really post in Reddit but I wanna share this with you guys, because I actually NEVER found any information about this.
Back when I was a kid, playing on my physical N64, I used to play a lot of DK64. I vividly remember having this one specific spot in the game where there was a space between two walls that, if you went into first person camera, you could see uhhh... From what I recall, it was a face, or an eye. I remember being very creeped out by it.
It was an original copy of N64 -- I'm sure of that. I'm not sure if it was in one of the multiplayer maps, I think it was but I'm really not sure. I tried commenting about it with friends but nobody has ever seen anything about it.
I digged through some of the files last time I was trying to rip some of the maps but couldn't find that specific texture. I did find some really weird ones, but not that one in specific.
Do any of you remember seeing something like this in the game? Have any of you found a weird texture like that when digging through the game files?
I literally made a Reddit account just so I could get help with this π
Iβve been trying to play DK64 on my Nintendo Wii for MONTHS now, and for the life of me I cannot figure it out!! At first I tried playing it on Not64, but I kept having that dreaded camera issue. I found that compatibility list that says it works on Wii64 so Iβve been trying to find a way to play it on there.
First I tried downloading Wii64 from the Homebrew Browser app, but then it could load my roms (βError opening directoryβ). I tried to fix the file location: wii64>roms> DK64 rom (I have both an N64 file and a Z64 file), but it still didnβt work.
So then I tried downloading Wii64 from this link: http://forum.wiibrew.org/read.php?17,66299,page=1
And this one was actually WORSE. The video quality was either too fast or skipped, and the audio was muffled. I even tried to adjust the settings (FB Textures) and it didnβt help at all.
THEN I downloaded the Wii64 1.2 Rice (FIX94 GitHub version), and now Iβm just getting a black screen with audio!!! When I try to adjust the video settings, it will literally freeze my screen, but still have audio π
I DONT UNDERSTAND!! MY USB IS PROPERLY FORMATTED, MY FILES ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACES, I FOLLOWED ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS I GOOGLED PERFECTLY AND I STILL CANT GET IT! βΉοΈ I LITERALLY DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO.
Somebody please help me π©π₯² I can play other N64 games on Not64, BUT I JUST WANT TO PLAY THIS ONE ππ©
-I also just noticed that when it loads roms, it loads the rom βpartiallyβ instead of βfullyβ????? Does that mean anything to anyone?

In DK64, Fungi Forest ends with a second fight against Dogadon (first fought in Angry Aztec), with you now playing as Chunky. Similarly, Crystal Caves ends with Army Dillo again, complete with you fighting him as DK again.
If the game was remade, what boss ideas do you have to replace these refights (or the first fights if you want) with?
Has anyone tested this one out? Every other game I play on this emulator works amazingly well except for DK64. No matter how much I mess with the inputs it's like the analog is constantly being pushed to the left.
The options wheel is spinning on it's own and I have to hit up or down on the analog to make it stop. And then when after the cutscene DK will constantly move like the left analog is being held down. I increased the deadzone, even removed the left analog input completely but this still happens.

Hello everyone. So I've been playing through Donkey Kong 64 recently on Mupen64 Plus FZ, and I cannot beat the game 100% because in Gloomy galleon, you have to take a photograph of the fairy behind the bars. The reticle on the camera never turns green when it should. Does anybody know a solution to this. Thank you
