Summary - Taking place after the events of a fighting tournament, Zack βinvestedβ winnings from said tournament sinking his money to purchase a private island, which he promptly names after himself: "Zack Island".
He then invited the women from the tournament to his island, under the pretense
that the next Dead or Alive Tournament will be held there. The women arrive and
met by vacation rep Lisa. After discovering the truth, namely that it was
merely a hoax, decide to make the best of the situation by spending two weeks

I only ever played it once and I didnβt really understand it, does the progress of what you unlock stay the same as you do more runs, or does it reset after the certain amount of in-game days? Because when I played it, I went through 1 whole vacation, but I didnβt play a 2nd time as a different character, I just left it there and didnβt go on it ever again. Iβve been trying to find the answer online but I canβt find much

Do you agree more with this IGN video, or with Jim Sterling's video full of very very harsh criticism of the game and the people who made it?
IMO, I get the impression that most of the western video game industry currently believes that it is immoral, disrespectful and harmful to make a game with such a large focus on content that can affect straight male hormones. But IMO, it should be considered OK and harmless to make a game like this. A western studio with a good budget to make a 'bikini women on vacation' game could tweak the designs and story make it more appealing to western taste than a japanese anime game could be, so it is a shame if nobody makes such a game based on the incorrect idea that it would be immoral or disrespectful or harmful to women to do so.
The fact that a woman would defend this game is interesting, but even if she only represents a minority opinion of women, it should still be OK for the industry to include some games like this. Just like it should be OK for the industry to include some games that women like even if only minority of men could like those game.
The industry would be much more boring with a lot less variety if every game needed to only contain stuff that the majority of men like. A lot of gameplay genres wouldn't exist at all with either of those rules. The majority play AAA games that sell 10s of millions of copies, (or free to play mobile and social games if you count those), and have no interest in your favorite niche or indie game that sold less than a million copies. But the industry is healthier, and will sell more total games, with lots of different games appealing to lots of different niches for lots of different people with lots of different taste to play.
(Also IMO, that Jim Sterling video is very rude)
I've now tried two copies of this game. Also, every other game I own works fine, even some ones I got from Goodwill that are heavily scratched. Heard of this issue before? Anyone known resolutions?
