A list of puns related to "Crown in Saskatoon"
looking for some crown land to shoot on near saskatoon, any fellow shooting enthusiasts can help a guy out?
Does anyone have experience using the Tile tracker here? Have enough people bought them that if I put one in my car, I'd actually be able to find it if it was stolen?
Or do you have a better suggestion for a tracking device?
Looking to move a more affordable city than Toronto. What are the big companies to know? What can a mobile developer expect to earn with ~3 years experience? Any companies to avoid?
Thanks
I am thinking of opening an Iranian restaurant in Saskatoon. What do you think about it? Iranian foods include different kinds of kebabs, stews and so on.
How many people do you know are actually practicing social distancing in Saskatoon? I understand a lot are not out and about in the same way, but I see many people on social media still spending time with friends and people that they donβt live with. This leads me to think Iβm either misunderstanding the measures we are to take (stay home and only have contact with those you live with), or a lot of people are ignoring these necessary steps.
hey! just wanted to post here quickly about my time in saskatoon last week! iβm from nyc and i came to saskatoon to visit my gf (yes we r an ldr!!) and i just wanted to say how much i really appreciated and loved saskatoon.
the weather was perfect (by my standards at least), the architecture was different, yet so astounding and unique, and the vibe/pace of saskatoon was something that i rarely often feel/get to experience in the city.
it was definitely eye-opening to visit saskatoon and try all the different foods there from asian fusions to thirteen pies to even trying poutine for the first time LOL. to see the remai modern, walk in midtown (midtown in nyc is hectic af), and just exist in saskatoon was so so so much fun and just being in a city that is lowkey so similar but also so different and important to me.
definitely canβt wait to visit saskatoon again and as much as i love nyc, i love saskatoon! canβt wait to see yall again!
edit: thx for all of yβall replies!! i knew saskatoon was a chill vibe, but i felt all of yβalls warmth and comfort from the replies!! and yes, i actually am from nyc even though i said saskatoon has βastounding and uniqueβ architecture lolol
The director of Terminator, Aliens, Avatar, and other well known films was recently appointed to the Order of Canada.
In the articles, they mention James Cameron like so:
"James Francis Cameron of Saskatoon and Los Angeles"[1]
I know he has invested in food production companies in the Saskatoon area[2], but does anyone know if he lives here part-time also?

Hey everyone,
If you have the time I have some thoughts and concerns I would like to share with you....
You might remember as the guy as the person who had a CBC reporter film me speaking at a public open house concerning the proposed tower at the top of Broadway Bridge. I am shocked at the reception that it received and since then have had many friends ask me about it. What that experience has taught me is the depth of the people who are on this subreddit and how much we all care about making Saskatoon the best it can be.
I think you can glean from that original video, that I am someone who is pro-density and wants to see the core of our city develop and grow into a dense cultural hub that everyone in our city has access to. Right now we are in the midst of this happening at an accelerated pace. The only roadblock is those who are uncomfortable with the rate of change.
The issue I want to engage you on
If you are not aware, currently there is a 12-story 171 unit building proposed for the top of University Bridge at the corner of Clarence and College. This is the lot that has been a parking lot ever since they moved that stone house off that property in 2011. North Prairie is the developer and to build the project requires rezoning from a "Medium Density Residential" to a "High-Density Residential" property.
Currently, the project is facing opposition from the Varsity View Community Association (VVCA), who list a litany of issues with the project ranging from parking and traffic concerns, it eventually becoming a hotbed of crime, people who live in high-rises aren't part of a community, it is too tall for the neighbourhood, its tighter proximity to College Drive than other structures, the strain on existing infrastructure and others.
If more support is not shown for this project is runs the very real risk of being cancelled or not approved.
I understand their concerns, this will be a tall building for the neighbourhood but, to me, there are very little drawbacks and it will provide not only a net benefit for their neighbourhood but Saskatoon as a whole. The VVCA's position is that they want to keep the building
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hi everyone, visiting Saskatoon for a hockey tournament, are there any clubs with young crowds in there 20βs where people go. Thanks
See title. Seriously, Last I heard team Reddit was miles bigger than the next competitor..
Coming from out of town for NYE and looking for some fun places to hang out that night or any cool events going on?! We are late 20βs early 30s so no clubs... more dive bar, good cocktails, good music type of vibes haha
With Everybody quarantined sometimes itβs nice to just take a drive and listen to some music. Iβm looking for some good places to just drive to and check out without having to necessarily get out of the car, or places that are cool to roam around without having to worry about human contact. Thinking: Driving around Sask Crescent, Nice houses on Spadina, Empty downtown....
Iβm debating purchasing a Tesla. I live in Saskatoon and have seen some posts about the cold affecting range as it reduces battery life. Iβve seen more of them on the road and Iβm curious if those who own Teslaβs have any issues with maintenance, charging stations, etc?
Is it a struggle to own one and having to work with Calgary? Also, did Tesla ship the car out or did you have to pick it up in Calgary and drive it back?
Iβm generally curious about the experience purchasing one and owning one here?
I know we have a few good bakeries, but I want to be able to make my own biscuits and muffins. Any flour I've tried from Sobeys is terrible.... Help!
Hello. Iβm going to be in Saskatoon for 5 weeks straight in August and September for work. I have been to Saskatoon a couple of times in the past but not for this long. Iβm a married guy who knows nobody in the area. Any suggestions on what to do? Iβm going to try staying downtown because itβs very walkable. Thanks.
