A list of puns related to "Critical theory"
So I was reading the thread in /r/politics about black Mississippi Senators walking out when they voted to "ban critical race theory" in schools, and, unsurprisingly, the braindead masses of that cesspool they call a subreddit were just REPEATEDLY saying that Republicans want to ban the teaching of black history and racism in America.
Now, when you look at the bill in question literally the only thing it's banning is "treating students differently based on race, sex, or orientation." How the FUCK are people arguing that this will be used to stop teaching history. I feel like i'm losing my fucking mind, are all these liberals really that indoctrinated?
From a slightly different perspective, I went to a state school in the UK and I have seen my former classmates posting things like "they never taught us about the British Empire in school" which is just absolutely, unequivocally bullshit. It's unsurprising that woke types didn't pay attention in class of course, and I only mention this here because I find it extremly hard to believe that, even in bumfuck conservative states, they aren't teaching this stuff. I've seen many comments from people who grew up in red states saying a similar thing - that they absolutely were taught about the history of civil rights in America and the history of racism.
I don't know, maybe this post is just me venting some frustration, but I am genuinely curious how so many people can be against what seems to me is a perfectly reasonable bill. Can any Americans share their thoughts on this? Curious to see what some non-retards think about all this. Cheers.
Virginia gov sets up tip line to report schools teaching βdivisiveβ critical race theory

Florida school is cancelling a talk on Civil Rights because of the fear that it is "Critical Race Theory"

>Less than 24 hours before Butler was informed of the cancellation, a state Senate committee advanced legislation Tuesday at the behest of Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis to block public schools and private businesses from making people feel βdiscomfortβ when theyβre taught about race.
Of course, this is ridiculous. Heaven forbid we be uncomfortable when discussing potentially uncomfortable topics.
This is exactly the reason for the bans on CRT - to prevent any significant addressing of the reality of racism and its history in this country.
This post is totally serious and I expect serious discussions only. It is totally note a joke. Now if youβll excuse me, I have to clean my Lenin shrine.

Oh well, At the end of the day it's just a TV show but it still sucks when you're trying to enjoy something and there are people ruining the whole vibe....
Thereβs a bill advancing in the Florida Senate declaring that an individual βshould not be made to feel discomfort, guilt, anguish or any other form of psychological distress on account of his or her raceβ in the context of critical race theory being taught in schools.
Thoughts on this? Folks in here say the βwokeβ crowd are snowflakes, are overly sensitive and enforce political correctness in a way that is oppressive to free speech, etc. but this attack on educational curriculum (which isnβt even actively being taught, there is just the option to teach it) seems to be exactly what those folks accuseβ¦
So now weβre legislating against peopleβs discomfort? It should be noted that this legislative language is completely different than anti-discrimination legislation which has a hard, real world impact and isnβt about feelings.
In the NYT, the bill is being touted as an βattack by the right-wing thought policeβ and I think itβs interesting to see the tables turned.
