A list of puns related to "Critical point (mathematics)"
...so...put in the Airpods and sit back. Gonna be some wait time but a good ride.
As a TWICE fan, I've been quietly monitoring the situation with Nayeon's stalker Josh ever since the plane incident. Believe it or not it's been over two years and the situation hasn't changed and in fact appears to have taken a turn for the worse.
(Side note: For people who think Josh is just an attention seeker who is egged on by people who express concern, you couldn't be more wrong. Josh is not an Oli London who has created a whole public persona and actively sought an Internet following and multiple interviews with the press about his idol obsession. Unlike Oli London, Josh does the opposite of seeking public validation or clout- he has blocked countless people who do not take him seriously and goes as far as disabling comments on his social media and Youtube videos which he wouldn't do if he was merely after attention. He is not trying to become famous or gain notoriety, he only cares about making his dream of marriage and having kids (in his own words) with Nayeon come true.)
I haven't made any post or comment here about Josh for two years til now but I can't just let this slide anymore as just yesterday he uploaded an extremely disturbing video in which he expresses his utter despair and sadness at being ignored, reiterates he has not been sleeping and crying constantly; it is basically nothing other than a huge cry for help (the latest video is in fact labeled Please Help). In his previous videos he managed to put on a forced happy and calm demeanor (thinly veiling his obviously bat-shit crazy state of mind) but in this video he openly breaks down sobbing and even admits the ONLY REASON and sole purpose for which he is still living is bc of his hope that he will meet Nayeon and communicate with her. I understand his parents, after doing nothing even after the plane incident, will continue to do nothing now but surely he must have SOME relatives who see this person is on the verge of doing something extremely drastic and violent and is capable of doing it sooner than later??
Edited to add: I am afraid not only on Nayeon's behalf but on behalf of innocent people around him. I believe he's capable of lashing out and hurting innocent people in his vicinity as a way of venting his pent-up frustration, pain and unrequited feelings and he doesn't need to hop on a plane to Korea to do it, anyone around him at the wrong moment could potentially be affected. This isn't a week long crush, it's been MORE THAN TWO YEARS. Just let that sink in...
I am just wanting some guidance on what the trajectories of a solution to a DE looks like if it has a stable critical point at example: 5 on the y axis with arrow pointing up for below 5 and down for above 5 and a semi stable point at 8 on the y axis with arrow down for below 8 and down for above 8. More confused about what visually happens to trajectories at a semi stable points where arrows point down on the phase diagram either side of the point.
I hope this makes sense with text only as I canβt figure out how to put a diagram up.
Hey,
I've been reading up on this for a while, but I still don't have a clear idea. Can any of you educate me on this, please, on a "deeper-than-Wikipedia" level?
I'm an oldschool D&D guy who still runs games based on "White Dwarf" and "Imagine Magazine". I appreciate that this new stuff is around, but I'm struggling a bit to find the proper introduction/introductory material for myself:
Like, there's the podcast, then there's the non-WotC books, and now there are WotC books. A bit lost here, honestly. :) I'd like to learn more about it, but I don't want to over-commit. Where do I start?
Thank you!
...Oh, yeah, and happy holidays! :)
I have listened to both many times. It was never even for a microsecond a question that when PETERFFY says β if they had known they have the right to ask for their shares and they really wanted the short squeeze thatβs what they would have doneβ I may have butchered it but you know what I am talking about.
He 100% meant that if you had exercised options and demanded the contract be honored, the MM who sold you naked calls (hold this in your mind for later) would have had to go into the market to buy shares no matter the price. With the SI over 100% thatβs the squeeze.
He NEVER meant DRS. itβs counterintuitive. How in the world is a squeeze going to happen in that short timeframe with DRS? In all interviews heβs talking about βdomino BK, βcollapse of the systemβ etc. think about DRS , thatβs not a fast event
But if still donβt really understand exactly, and thatβs totally fine, listen to the interviews in reverse order.
Gradante fills in for you what was missing if you really didnβt understand who makes the market and how this all functions , and really who the fuck ever did until this started? Not many.
Itβs not preferred for the MM to have to take all those trades themselves , the downside of βproviding liquidityβ
They want to link you with a call seller that isnβt them first. They HAD to become the only option as the volume got out of control.
Conclusion; listen to the interviews in reverse time order so you have a better understanding of the nuance here. Gradante first.
PETERFFY uses English as a second language. I say this in no negative way at all just so you understand some small nuance maybe confusing.
EDIT; because it wasnβt extra clear. DRS is a very important and powerful weapon here. I advocate it and have DRS about 1/3rd my shares. This isnβt meant to be an either or discussion

He's so right though. It's not that they're deconstructing these characters. It's that... these aren't those characters.
The character Patrick Stewart is playing right now is NOT Jean-Luc Picard. He might have that name, but he is not that character. There's growing and changing as a person, and then there's whatever happened to Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Picard, etc.
Now that we've reached an extended period of losses, I think it's time we need to take a hard look at our community. Simple low effort unfunny memes aren't going to cut it anymore. We need more engagement. More upvotes on all posts in this sub. Higher quality memes. Twitter/influencer engagement, etc. We need to revitalize the energy that we had before if we want to recover. Please, do your part by upvoting posts on this sub, sending out requests to exchanges for listings, and most importantly, making funny, original memes, not just awful rehashes of ancient memes that weren't funny in the first place. The amount of FUD is insane right now. We need to turn the tables bros.
At the moment, we have a national debt of about 28T USD, of which 21T is held internally, agency to agency. Coincidently, the US GDP is about 21T USD. Service on foreign-held debt is about 500B USD annually (7% interest). So that means that foreign debt service is about 2.3% of our income.
Conventional advice given to homeowners regarding debt is that the mortgage service should not be more than 25% of your income. That advice would imply that the US income could carry a much bigger debt load than it has now.
If internally paid interest is budget neutral, at what point does foreign-held debt become a threat?
The description for Overpowered Critical Injury reads: "The target leaves himself open, and the attacker may immediately attempt another free attack against him, using the exact same dice pool as the original target".
Does this mean Destiny Points cannot be used by either side?
This came up in my game last night and wanted to make sure I interpreted this correctly.
So the function is like this: (1/ln3)*(1-m)*3^(2x)+mx+5-m And i have to find m when f has one negative critical point. I reached to this after calculating the derivative: 3^(2x)=m/(2(m-1)) I dont know how to continue..
A critical discussion on the works of Devadutt Pattanaik:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtkMFLuOa3M
Nityanand Misra, a Sanskrit scholar and well-known author has studied Devdutt Pattanaikβs book titled βMy Gitaβ. This is an extensive interview where he gives point by point analysis of Shri Pattanaikβs work. He points out numerous blunders in the works. He concludes that Shri Pattanaik:
does not know even the basics of Sanskrit;
is obsessed with looking for sexual meanings, and has praised Wendy Doniger in the past;
makes serious errors in translating very important Sanskrit words and gives them a completely distorted meaning;
has an artificially inflated brand name that cannot be justified on merit.
Shri Misra decided to invest a lot of time to examine the works of Shri Pattanaik because he is misleading the public who assume that his books are widely promoted based on merit.
EDIT: Adding link to Nityanand Mishra's review of My Gita
Has anyone experienced this before?
I recently submitted photo reviews and got approved for points for all 3 of my photos, but only 1 of the reviews I wrote shows up on the website.
I had written more critical reviews of a top and a pair of leggings for being designed poorly and the fabric being super prone to snagging, but these are the 2 reviews that aren't posted under the product. Contrarily, I wrote a 4-star review of the FLOAT leggings which I can see under the FLOAT reviews.
I'm wondering if my other reviews are not being posted because they are 2-3 stars???? This seems super dishonest and I don't want to think that's the case, but I can't see why else, if my photos got approved for the points.
f(x,y) = (e^(y^2 - x^2))(y^4 - x^4)
Hi all, i need some help finding and classifying the Critical Points of this function.
What i've done so far:
Β°calculating the partial derivatives:
f_x(x,y) = 2x(e^(y^2 - x^2))(x^4 - 2x^2 - y^4)
f_y(x,y) = 2y(e^(y^2 - x^2))(2y^2 + y^4 - x^4)
Β°put them in a system and found x=0 & y=0 --> P=(0,0) (i'm not sure on this one, though)
Β°In order to classify the P(0,0) point i use the Hessian Matrix (really don't know any other way to classify)
i tried to calculate the partial derivatives of second order for the matrix but the calculations are just too long for each derivative.
So i guess i need to know some other way in order to solve this exercise (also because later i need to calculate the Tangent Space & Tangent to a curve in given points).
Is there more of an easy way to classify the critical points of that function?
I haven't read the TWOC yet so please no spoilers there.
One thing that's really bothering me about ALH to TTWP is when Ardee told Savine to not tell Orso that they're half siblings. Why did Ardee tell her that and why did Savine agree to this? Is it that big of a deal? Did Savine not trust Orso to keep his mouth shut about a thing that might be just as compromising to her as it is to him, if it is compromising at all? Is there some real world monarchy situation where killings are usually involved? I think a lot of the animosity and emotional decisions could have been avoided if this was just outed from the start. Even Glokta didn't think it was that big of a deal when Savine asked him if he knew what Ardee told her, but his explanation about protection of Ardee made no sense there either. Ardee's protection was basically guaranteed when he married her and how would a revelation of a bastard child change that? A PR disaster? As in, even worse than the tortures from the inquisitions that all of the Union fears?
Someone fill me in please.
It is inevitable that at some point things are going to become too chaotic on this subreddit.
P*dos and creeps will leave, or the people they bother will leave, it might even get the subreddit taken down.
Horny posting will either stop or become the only thing the subreddit is about, which just causes problems from people who go and post what they think about it (and teenage relationship stuff in general) because they feel entitled to start arguments over stupid shit.
"Homophobic" users and "LGBTQA" users will also continue arguing, and then people like me who say homophobic stuff but are gay/bi/lesbian regardless get harassed for it by both sides.
This subreddit is a ticking time bomb and its unstable, just under a week ago there was little to no posts that challenge other users to stupid arguments over dumb shit that only results in more hate and divide.
I came here out of boredom, loneliness and as an escape from the meaningless hate and divide that plagues the world, not to witness more if it and witness it takeover what should be a (mostly) peaceful subreddit.
Thanks for coming to rant, feel free to disagree but doing so only reinforces my point.
When you see a stat "+x% Critical Multiplier" on an item, then it increases your critical rate and magnitude by x%, not by x percent points. Which means, if you have 20% critical rate, and have "+1% Critical Multiplier", then your critical rate will be +20,2%, not +21% (1% of 20% is 0,2%, not 1%)
Every week is critical, especially if you are 0-2. But if you held someone because you thought it might workout is now the right time to give up and move on? Jacksonville looks terrible and anyone on their offense seems like sunk cost
Who had their last shot on your team?
