I'm in a binge of Call the Midwife and can't help but love some of the old-fashioned British names. Here's a running list of the regular characters thus far (just started season 4).

Am I the only one bawling my eyes out every night binge watching this show?!
Don't know if any of you do, but don't watch it, while you're expecting. People start cutting onions, lots of onions, every damn where.
I thought it might be fun to play some Call this Midwife Bingo during the Christmas Special and series 9 - so I made a bingo board gerenator!

The idea is that you make a board (here is one I, much like a TV chef, prepared earlier) and when something on the board happens, you cross it off. Or if you prefer the drinking game version, you take a sip of your drink of choice (I recommend well-sugared tea).
First press the Edit button to make your board. You can select from a number of pre-existing bingo tiles, or make your own. Add and remove items by clicking them (or drag and dropping if you’re not on mobile - the mobile drag and drop functionality is still under development).
When you’re done with the board, press Play, and when something on the board happens you can press it to mark that tile. At this point you can also share your board; simply copy the URL. (As the website currently does not work with a proper database all info is stored in the URL, so it will be quite long!)

Any thoughts? I've been watching it recently and I was just struck by how well they discuss some really heavy issues within individual episodes (not to mention broader themes) while not preaching or overtly pushing some agenda. Everything seems natural and the show is very watchable due to the mixture of levity interspersed with the serious shit.
I've really been enjoying it during my pregnancy, but since its been out a while, I don't really have anyone to talk to about it! I was thinking if other Bumpers are inclined, we could have a spinoff sub and rewatch the whole series together.
Its available on Netflix, so pretty easy to get. Here's what I am thinking (ideas welcome!)
- We start at the beginning and watch 1 episode per week
- I can post a discussion thread each week. Maybe Friday so we have the weekend to watch and discuss
Thoughts?
Also taking name suggestions. So far all I have is "Call The Bumpers"
