> Asked DeMar DeRozan if he can put into words his bond with Kyle Lowry. He said he couldn't. Then he did, eloquently: โIf my mom had another son, it'd be Kyle. If his mom had another son, it'd be me. That's as simple as I can put it. That's how close we are. That's what it is to me.โ
> Indeed, DeRozan and Lowry forged a fraternal connection during their six shared seasons in Toronto, which featured four All-Star appearances apiece, 297 regular-season wins, and that franchiseโs first Eastern Conference finals berth. > > The trade that sent DeRozan to the Spurs as part of the package for Kawhi Leonard made them adversaries on the court, but never disturbed their bond off of it. Lowry says he and DeRozan still talk every day. The love between them was apparent before Saturdayโs face-off at the United Center, where the two shared an embrace and several laughs while teammates took pregame warmups around them. > > โHeโs in a great place. Heโs leading these young guys how to win and close out games,โ Lowry said of DeRozan, โand heโs showing the world that heโs still really, really talented at basketball. > > โAs a friend Iโm always happy to see his success, but Iโm always even happier when we beat him.โ > > That Lowry did on Saturday. The two meet on the court again Dec. 11 in Miami, but best believe theyโll be in contact sooner than that.
Note: I'm specifically talking about what happened before the murders. I do not condone murder whatsoever and she should've been tried, convicted and punished for killing two people.
Yesterday, I stumbled upon an old Oprah episode (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ieR0CZpzNyQ&t=1272s) that featured convicted murderer, Betty Broderick. I'd heard the name before since I watch a lot of true crime stuff, but this was the rare times I felt like I was on offender's side, to a degree.
Betty was a 'perfect' Catholic, "good girl" (eventual) SAHM who put her husband through MEDICAL AND HARVARD LAW SCHOOL while working full time and taking care of four kids. When he hit big time as a medical malpractice lawyer and started making $1M dollars a year, he dropped her for an uneducated, 21 year old and named her as his assistant. She suspected that he'd been cheating on her and he lied to her face about it for two years. In their circle, cheating was just something that happens but you "get through it." The wife has to change, not the cheating ass husband. Betty even says she was groomed to be a wife and mom from a young age and that's just what you do. You do everything your husband wants and support him with a smile on your face.
They had a very nasty and very public divorce for about 4 years and the details of it were just awful: He had all the power and connections in the legal system since he was the president of the Bar Association so she couldn't find a lawyer to represent her, had sole custody of the kids she says she raised as a single parent when they were married, he would "deduct" and "fine" her money from the alimony payments for each time that she would curse on the answering machine and would send her a bill for HER owing HIM money, he sold the family home in both of their names without her permission, would put her in jail for petty infractions when he felt like it etc. Everything she did had to be allowed by him and all consequences were doled out through him and he pushed the narrative that she was "crazy." The new chick was also taunting her, sending her diet pills and face cream in the mail and being on the answering machine when they weren't married yet. He hated her that much he basically robbed her of any dignity or respect she had.
I mean, terrible. Even in the clip they showed of her ex husband talking it reeked of a disgusting narcissist.
She described the years o
... keep reading on reddit โกIf u live in NJ u have probably ,like me, be bombarded with ads saying Brandon j Broderick no phone number no image or other kind of info. If you google u will find out it is a law firm and an attorney behind the name. However U might be surprised that the individual seems to have gone out of his way to hide their face and even disguise it. Specifically when u look up his name at avvo.com or justia Links
https://lawyers.justia.com/lawyer/brandon-j-broderick-1035677
https://www.avvo.com/attorneys/07661-nj-brandon-broderick-1583342.html
both are lawyer databases the image that shows up is instead of another attorney in the same law firm with the name of Kevin E Kruse although the CV is of Brandon J Broderick which is extremely brief offering no important information like college, law school, or mention the law firm he started at.
In the Brandon Broderick website there is no photo or CV instead you can see the info and CV of attorney Kevin E Kruse which is the same person in justia and avvo pretending to be Brandon j Broderick
https://www.brandonjbroderick.com/Our-Attorneys/Kevin-E-Kruse
which makes me wonder the following
Ps: I was considering calling for a case I have however now Iโm very apprehensive since the individual doesnโt seem to have a real online presence instead is trying to hide it while blasting their name constantly in NJ.
> > NBC Sports Chicago: Whatโs it like for you to play in Los Angeles? > > DeMar DeRozan: Itโs always special because it just takes me back to being a kid, having my own aspirations of making it to the NBA. Passing by the Forum. I remember when the Staples Center was first built. My overall memories about everything, it kind of comes full circle. Every year Iโm in the NBA is such a blessing. To look at it and say this is my 13th year and still have the opportunity to play in front of friends, family, itโs just crazy. Itโs always a surreal moment. Every time I go back, I feel everyone rooting for me. > > NBC Sports Chicago: What did growing up in Compton teach you? > > DeRozan: It taught me resilience. It taught me how to be a man. It taught me hardship. It gave me imagination. My whole foundation? Compton taught me that. I wear it like a badge of honor. I wouldnโt be the person I am today if it wasnโt for the good and the bad that I learned growing up in Compton. > > NBC Sports Chicago: How did you avoid the pitfalls? > > DeRozan: I was fortunate enough to have older people around me that showed me at a young age the consequences of good and bad decisions. Whether I fully understood it at the time, I consistently heard it over and over to where it gave me a conscience, an understanding that when youโre around bad things, stay away from it. > > That was something great to have because a lot of my friends didnโt have that consistency of a voice telling them right from wrong. You can grow up in an environment and all you see is negativity and you think thatโs a norm. For me, I had a lot of people who gave me the other side of it, helped me understand positivity over and over until I got to an age where I really understood the difference. > > NBC Sports Chicago: Whatโs the worst thing you saw? > > DeRozan: At a young age, I lost one of my best friends to gang violence. I lost a lot of people before I even graduated high school. Youโre talking about sitting next to somebody in class on a Monday and Monday night, that was the last time theyโd ever be seen. Come back to school Tuesday and their stuff is still on their desk. Things like that consistently happened. > > **You started to wonder why the price of life is so cheap at a young age. Being a kid, youโre just trying to make it

The Browns may not re-sign D'Ernest Johnson, who had a pretty damn good year as a 3rd string back, playing w/ Kareem & Chubb out. I live in Northeast Ohio, & he quickly became my favorite Browns player for the last 2 seasons, but he won't grow next season when they have both Hunt & Chubb, whereas he can do better for an organization that needs a RB. He has a lot of heart &, though may not be a great RB1, he can totally get it done as a RB2. Thoughts?
