A list of puns related to "Bore evacuator"
For those not in the know, modern cannons or large guns, be they on vehicles or emplaced, have what are called bore evacuators. These handy, simple little devices use pressure differentials(? Iβm a historian, not a scientist) to evacuate gas from fired shells from the bore, to prevent them being released back into the tank when the breach is opened to load another shell. As I understand it, they were added after research showed that exposure to these fumes could daze and disorient crews. However, is there any information available on the long term effects of this, or were crews usually rotated enough (or simply didnβt fire often enough) to receive permanent damage, lung or otherwise, from these gasses?
Part arrived in million pieces, I have case open for this in ebay for return or partial refund.
So incase I have to repair this, how would you do it?
I have tamiya putty to mold, but is there easier way around this?
Part is really hard and brittle resin so I cant imagine trying to glue and hastle it together so I have to find decent way to replicate one.. Also the part isnt much of a sample anymore so have use other references.

Nij'Dibrah was bored. Depressed would be a more adecuate word for her state of apathy. Her people always ended in such a state after strong emotional reactions like the one she had experienced not that many cycles ago. Her upper manipulators touched the desk for a moment. It was her duty to keep monitoring the Zarkin Dominion and their actions. But... everything had gone wrong. So wrong? Where did this even started? Nij'Dibrah had heard the news. The galactic community was in shock after a heated discussion between the Zarkin Chancellor and the Bel'Advor representative had ended with an accident, a terrible accident. The Zarkin used a succession system in which, if a ruler died or showed that he was unfit for their position, the second most voted candidate would take over for the remaining of the original mandate.
The Zarkin Chancellor was dead. Due to the stress of the argument, some of his vital organs started to fail. The image of his body lying upon the grandstand had reached all corners of the galaxy. Rumors about poisoning soon started to rush through all communication networks, for it was extremely rare for a zarkinian to die because of stress. This would have been just that, an unfortunate accident, if not for who the Zarkin were.
Their civilization was marvelous, holding the key to teleportation technology, space and energy manipulation and a level of bioengineering that the rest of the galactic community could only dream of. They also had the largest military fleet of the known galaxy with hundreds of ships and even more ships being produced every macrocycle. They would rarely go to war since the size of their fleet was the best deterrent element. However, a sizable part of zarkinian society was in favor of waging war against civilizations and peoples deemed too primitive or too destructive for their own environment and home planets.
A great political movement had taken place, giving way to the rise of the Extermination for Peace Party, which soon became the second most voted political force in the Zarkin Dominion. Which was curious to say the least, since the zarkinian people had not suffered any war in their own worlds since more than two thousand standard macro cycles ago. And now the Extermination for Peace Party were in power. Mere seconds after being proclaimed new Chancellor, the new leader of the Zarkin Dominion, as chief of all armies and fleets ordered the extermination of the peaceful Iar'Vria, a primitive people with many differen

Toland actually links the miasma on the moon to the Pyramid and the K1 Anomaly cladding actually explains exactly what effects they were protecting against β with massive implications.
To recap, I originally expanded upon the theory that the next subclass would (as others had suggested) likely manifest as the same Darkness that the Hive call upon in their rituals that burns with greenish-yellow soulfire.
Soulfire as I explained was a byproduct of it's true purpose β the forced evolution of organic matter through nuclear transmutation and decay.
>The Hive had "rituals for forced evolution" which "hinted at transmutation through corruption, degradation, and rebirth". I attempted to explain the scientific principles behind this dark alchemy using the hypothesis that it would act in opposition to Arc Light. I theorized that it would break the bindings of complex matter leading to chemical simplification.
>
>I ultimately concluded that the mechanism behind this dark power was likely "inverse beta decay" which caused a proton to absorb it's own electron and decay into a neutron. Doing so would ultimately destabilize the entire nucleus leading to spontaneous decay.
I applied this same logic to Void Light and it's potential antithesis.
>I deduced that the third Darkness element would likely interact with the quantum vacuum using dark energy with phantom-like behavior. I also proposed that this third element could be used to explain paranormal phenomena related to the Darkness such as nightmares and phantoms as well as catastrophic effects such as false vacuum decay and Big Rips.
Now admittedly, when I wrote the aforementioned posts I knew a lot less than I do now. In order to arrive at those theories I mostly relied on Ishtar Collective as well as my own intuition and

Black Box
The front of the ship shattered into the silence of space, the debris slamming into the shipβs shields and burning until the fields themselves failed and the wreckage was flung into the chaos. The cascade of destruction continued, ripping backwards until it hit the bridge and extinguished all life on board. The carnage was flung into the dark, almost certainly lost forever. Again the explosions reached further back until they hit the vacuum-sealed cargo holds. The ship seemed to inhale as the hull began warping and then it joined the hail of shattered metal, burning gas, torn bodies, and twisted equipment hurled into the dark. The eerie silence that is death in space filled the screen.
Bart paused the simulation and turned to Captain Borseth of the Tri/Cypher, βThatβs the best I can do for now. My drones have scanned about eighty-per-cent of the loose wreckage and recovered maybe three. The rest I got from the hulk sitting out there.β
The Captain nodded as the screen returned to the twisted chunk of wreckage turning in space outside his ship. βEngineer, you have answered many questions except the important one. Why did the ship explode? It is almost identical to most of our fleet and we need to know how this happened!β
Bart enlarged the image, βCaptain, that was the bridge. Everything we needed to know was on there and all of it is gone. I can track the debris, track speeds, track rates of burning, tensile strength, track the...organic remains, but nothing here will tell me what the crew were doing or why they were doing it. Unless you have a way of travelling in time then all I can do is refine this simulation and we can watch it die again.β
Aware that sounded defeatist he added, βI can check the systems, see how an explosion like that could have travelled through the craft, using your ship as a template. Perhaps that will be enough.β
The Captain seemed to sag, his scales flat and colourless, his crests waving listlessly. He looked again at the broken ship, βEngineer, we havenβt been entirely truthful with you. This is the third ship we have lost. We didnβt want to damage confidence in our technology if it was some simple accident of space, some anomaly that we could explain. Now it seems that it could happen to any of us. This is why my government asked for your skills to be made available to us. You humans seem to avoid these kinds of events and we need your insight.β

Chapter 5
A deafening sound suddenly filled the air as something caused all the walls and floor around them to shake violently, the shockwave reverberating seemingly throughout the entire ship and almost taking the floor from under their feet. James could feel the material flex multiple centimeters, hoping to everything he held dear that it would hold.
After the first impact was over, the ship immediately went into full danger mode, lights turned a bright red and alarms blaring into their ears.
βThere has been an explosion in the research wing. Please remain calm. The hull has not been breached and no essential systems have been affected. Security is on their way. In the meantime, please evacuate the affected area. If there are colleagues in need near you, help them evacuate as well. I repeat:β¦β a calm message rang out through the intercoms.
James looked around. Shida and himself had managed to stay on their feet during the detonation, but most people around them had not been as fortunate. Luckily no one seemed seriously injured and most of them had already started to get back up again.
Shida was not looking around, instead opting to listening intently and sniffing the air. βThat is the fire alarm,β she calmly stated, looking down the corridor before them. βAnd it sounded like that was close.β
Before James could respond, she was already taking off in the direction the sound had come from.
βWait!β, James yelled after her and began to follow. βArenβt we supposed to evacuate?β
βYou are free to leave if you want to!β she shouted back over her shoulder without so much as slowing down.
James had no intention of turning around. But he did have trouble keeping up with her. Many frightened crewmembers were running towards him, away from the supposed danger, making it hard to follow the agile woman, who was faster than him anyway.
By now the air started to smell of smoke, even to him, and he could even see its source. It was only two labs over from his own. The massive, metal door was bend outward, having been ripped open at the middle where its two parts met, allowing thick, dark smoke to escape the room.
Shida had stopped. She turned, seeing him approach, and immediately stated, βSomethings not right! The computer should be extinguishing that fire b

I still cringe from thinking about this sometimes but enough time has passed where I can finally share my fuck up. I was on a family spring break vacation where we decided to drive to florida. I was like 11 or 12 at the time so not very smart to be honest. All in all the driving totaled about 20 hours, so not an easy drive. We decided to split it into two 10 hour days to make it a bit easier. Anyways, after the first long and boring day we got to our hotel. It was a fairly large one, not just some local mom and pop motel. Anyways, everyone was crabby and exhausted or whatever so we turned in.
Or tried to.
Every so often, I just cannot sleep. Iβm sure all of you have experienced this at some point, whether itβs before a big test or a trip or whatever. This night was one of those nights where you just cannot get comfortable. After staring into the darkness for several hours, I noticed a smoke alarm on the ceiling that had one of those blinking little green lights. For some reason, I just got fixated on it and it began to piss me off and contribute to my unfortunate insomnia. I decided to get out of bed to try and disable it. This was my first mistake.
I pulled up one of the chairs in the room and stood on it to take the batteries out of it. Here comes the fuck up: when messing around with it in the dark, I accidentally pressed the βtestβ button. Immediately, the most ear piercing screeching began blaring out of this thing at like 1am at night. I panicked and tried to slam the battery back in but it was too late. In hotels, the smoke alarms are linked so that the entire hotel is evacuated in the event of an actual fire.
As soon as my alarm went off, I began to hear the echos of other alarms down the hall. With a sinking feeling, I realized the magnitude of my fuck up. By that time, it was too late. I joined the mass exodus out of the hotel down to the parking lot to pretend to confusedly stare at the hotel and look for a non existent fire. My parents asked what happened and 11 year old me broke down and told them. Little did I know a hotel employee that was overseeing the fire door was nearby and caught wind of my fuck up. This will be important later.
Compounding onto all of this craziness, the fire trucks and an ambulance arrived. Why an ambulance you ask? Well here is what I found out after the fact. Apparently, a mother was breastfeeding a baby in a

Frith spoke over the comms. "Pozar is at 90% capacity. Pilots slow your burns. We need to energy dump. Weapons max power. Shield bursts initiate. Do a lap of the planet. Give our boys some love."
Archon enlarged the shields, extending the range and thickness. He then pushed thrusters several notches up, closing in on the Kawaroo home world. Gunners throughout the ship were weapons free and full. Beams shot out across the system, predictive runner programs allowed them to lead the enemy craft with their speed of light weaponry. The Gunners on the lower half of the Pozar were zoomed in on the world below, picking targets and spot lighting them. The ground ignited in precise locations, burning Gollock where they stood.
Sam climbed into the newly printed scythe craft. Its eight wheels were assisted by a weight reducing grav element running through its hull. It was armored, with a chain gun mounted on the roof. The belt to the gun looped up and back into the cab where a spider forge recycled metal and air into bullets. Sam pat Crunchcheek on the shoulder. "I like it. Let's get rolling." Sam spun his hand in the air. "I need a crew. Saddle up. We got people out there!"
Sam got into the pocket gunner seat next to the driver seat, filled by Crunchcheek. A Krattoch got up and took control of the heavy recycler. Two knights filled the carrier chairs. Sam nodded. Crunchcheek rolled them out from the Czar hanger and into the burning plains.
Spitslittle woke up, still strapped in. Her glittering blood ran down her face. She touched a sore spot above her left eyes and winced at the pain. "Lights blinded. That hurts." She unlatched and leaned forward, hitting the canopy button. The protective glass and metal shot out, bouncing on the rocks and detritus below.
Spitslittle jumped in shock as a massive creature entered her blurred vision. "Get back!" She struggled through the seat pockets looking for her blaster.

"Yes sir. We have control of both the upper and lower elevator decks. I am coordinating lift evacuation now with the Kawaroo."
Farther out, one of the Gollock head aboard its massive Gree carrier, was listening in on the invaders chatter. Ten of its bodies waved their appendages at the steward at the edge of the room. "Destroy them. They have proven nuisance enough."

The Head turned its multiple bodies and stared at the steward. "Ash preferably."

Sam, and the rest of the room looked at the tech. "How bad?"
"We're spiraling. At the current angle, we will spin into the atmosphere, and probably burn up."

We have seen lately some posts from various PAPI fanboyz that match a certain pattern. Hence this post that will prove with fair and unbiased information that the situation is dire for PAPI:
Denial
Goons will lose 30% of their player base when we reach Delve! Haha, Goons have no income, they can't rat or mine!
PAPI started this war convinced that Goons will flee the enemy that outnumbers them 3:1. PAPI's whole plan was based on the fact that the simple appearance of their Donut Fleets will make Goons cry and flee. It didn't happen, so PAPI found new ways to deny the fact that Goons will never run. All failed.
Anger
But Mittens with the wizard hat! Goons are all scammers / awoxers / bad people IRL! Goons DDOS the server! Goons DDOS PGL's townhall!
Next came a multitude of posts and a frenzy of psychosis. Goons were the root evil of everything. Your buttered bread fell on the floor? Effing Goons! Why are we fighting this awful boring war? Because Goons are bad people IRL! Mittens did something 10 years ago!
Bargaining
Goons are surely evacuating, we caught Freighters loaded with cap parts! Goons, you can join PH and we will guarantee your assets safe passage out of Delve!
After that we saw a plethora of appearances from all PAPI's superstars on all their inhouse talk shows where they praised the commitment that PAPI has to their aim, to kill Goons. The Bargaining step actually developed between PAPI factions. They re-assured each other that they will stick to being blue until Goons are no more. They needed that re-assurance because they started to fear Goons will not break.
Depression
Ok guys, flash form! We're going to ring the bell! Wait, why are you leaving fleet? We're going to bash a fortizar!
Goons have 1000 titans that they will use to destroy anyone who doesn't stay committed to the cause!
Participation is down across EVE, but especially in PAPI. Mister Marcus posts cryptic messages that warn about the impending doom that awaits the server if the Goons don't die to the massively incompetent Blue donut. People go to Crying in Stations and declare Goons have formed Serenity, even though they're the bloody 90% of null! Takes an immense amount of either callousness or stupidity to declare Goons, who are under siege in their last systems are the Serenity creators.
Next, wait for it: Acceptance!

Sam opened the comm channel to the ship. "Everyone prepare yourselves. We are about to exit jump."
The Czar dropped out of jump between the 4th and 5th planets in the Kawaroo system. Spitslittle pulled the updating holomap up. Over three hundered cruiser sized or larger ships, with more than double that being smaller circled the 4th planet. Drop ships were continuously descending all over the planet except for the last holding city, Cathoo.
Sam motioned for Nova to open channels. "This is the Czar hailing the Gollock. Please respond."
A dozen ships started shifting course away from the planet, toward the Czar. Sam tried again. "We do not wish to fight. We merely want to evacuate the civilians. Please allow passage."
No response.
Sam motioned the Preserver in the corner. The young Preserver stepped out the doors, and returned with Parry following in three of his designated corpses. "Parry, we're going to put you on videocall. Try and negotiate for us to dock and evacuate refugees."
Parry clasped his hands and stood in front of the camera feed. "I am Parry, member of the Twain Clowder. I wish to speak to anyone in charge."
A video feed opened up on the display. Hundreds of creatures, all bound by threads strung between them, stared back from the dark room they sat in. They spoke in unison in a dozen languages, all saying the same thing. "Do not worry young one. We will free you. You will have first choice of your captors."
Parry stared back. "I am not a captive. The captain of this ship has given me freedom to leave and join you if I wished, but I do not. I wish to assist them. I wish to aid those who you are destroying. Please, allow us to rescue the remainder of the Kawaroo."
The horde in the dark replied. "You use words, civilians, refugees. These are not what we use. They are food. They are shelter. They are meant for us. There shall be no liberation for them, nor for those you shelter with. Keep your center safe young one, we will be amongst you shortly." Then the feed terminated.
Nova looked at Sam with his Infinigan face. "Sir, Twenty-three ships are closing in."

Kendrick couldnβt remember waking up feeling this horrible since...ever.
His eyes felt like they were glued shut, but he forced them open into what felt like blinding brightness. Why was his room this bright? Heβd even cut pieces of cardboard to fit his bedroom windows, as the blinds still let in too much light on his days off.
Heβd had the most insane dream. He was in the middle of a terrorist attack, and he nearly died controlling an exo-suit.
When Kendrickβs eyes finally adjusted, he started to have some doubts it was a dream after all.
He was lying on his side in an absolutely massive hospital bed, and the arm on top had an IV with an unidentifiable fluid running into it.
He had no clue what he was wearing, but it seemed an approximation of a hospital gown.
Kendrick tried to adjust his posture slightly, but even that tiny movement sent stabbing shockwaves of pain through his back to his front. He tried moving his head to see more of his surroundings.
Immediately his eyes were drawn to the Shilβvati soldier standing silently at the entrance to the room. He didnβt recognize the insignia on her uniform, but he could see she had gold trim he hadnβt seen before on the Marinesβ suits. The contrast between her suit and the mostly white room made her look like a humanoid shaped void near the door.
After that, he saw what he assumed to be medical equipment of some sort and everything else you might expect to find in a hospital room. A chair in the corner, a little tray table and a drawable curtain completed the look.
Every time his head moved, he could feel something covering his ears as it rubbed against the pillow. At least he could hear again, even if it was muted by the coverings.
Even just moving his head hurt him around the middle of his body, but the micro movements revealed a new sensation amongst the pain. A slight tugging sensation near his waist begged his mind to investigate.
His arm gingerly moved the thin white sheet covering him from the chest down aside.
To Kendrickβs horror, his stomach was almost entirely wrapped with what he imagined were bandages made from a white material he couldnβt recognize. The

We were prospecting around the Klaxar 6 asteroid belt when the pirates attacked.
A squadron of patchwork destroyers ambushed our us, appearing from their hiding spots behind asteroids, they immediately set their attack vectors and bore down on us, firing as they went.
Our defence batteries did their best but they were soon targeted and destroyed by the pirates' return fire. Defenceless, we prayed to our gods for deliverance as the pirates picked us apart piece by piece.
Our engines took a volley of missiles, crippling them in a cloud of vented fuel and a rapidly blossoming fire within the ship. Our thrusters followed the engines in short order, leaving us a drifting hulk. The hangars went next, shuttles going up in blazing fireballs as railfire tore through their bays, tearing crew and machinery apart like so much paper.
All across the ship, warning klaxons sounded. I overcame my initial shock and got back to being the captain.
I pushed the body of my comms officer aside and picked up the comm.
"Damage report, all stations!" I screamed over the comm. I had tried and failed to keep the edge of fear out of my voice.
"Engines offline, sir! We've tried to seal the blast doors but they won't close, sir! The fire is spreading! We need to stop it before it-"
I felt a dull crump through the deckplates under my feet as the flames found portside fuel relay. I knew that every crew member anywhere near number four engine was dead instantly. I hung my head and silently mourned their loss for a moment as Engineering began their report.

I was met by static on the comm.
"Medical! Medical! Come in Doctor!"
There was a crackle on the line, more static, and then, to my relief, the ship's doctor's voice came over the comm.
"We're still here, sir." He grunted, sounding pained, "Our comms seem to be damaged. We are trapped down here! We need engineering immediately, we need to evacuate the injured to the shuttles."

Excellent classic Survivor season taking place in a top 5 location for me due to its uniqueness. Being away from the beach and having camps surrounded by thorn bushes to protect against wild animals was incredibly refreshing. Also the water sources were terrible and I can't think of another season where water was as important as it was here. Samburu's young vs old dynamic was great tv and I think their frequent ties is what pushed production to introduce pullings rocks as a tiebreaker in the next season. Also the first ever tribe swap happened this season and it totally screwed the young Samburus. Even 17 seasons later this still might be the most satisfying example of Survivor justice. I personally found the pre-merge to be very enjoyable to watch thanks to the Samburu drama and Clarence's obsession with food and war paint. Post-merge was amusing thanks to Brandon vs Frank and Kelly vs Lex. Endgame was sort of boring with the only drama coming from Kim Johnson beating 3 men younger than her in back to back challenges resulting in a predictable final vote. My favorite Survivor theme
Cast: Diane & Jessie (both sadly got sick early on and never really got to play but they were able to show the viewers just how brutal the conditions were), Doc Carl (loved his rivalry with the young Samburus and his car discussion with Silas), Linda (the original Crazy Cat Lady archetype), Lindsey (great hatable villain), Clarence (hilarious cast member with excellent confessionals and easily my favorite city boy in the wild archetype), Brandon (his rivalry and reward with Frank are legendary television), Frank (great curmudgeon and elephant lover who had some all time Survivor quotes "Linda's so concrete, she's buried in the bottom of the Hoover Dam"), Big Tom (all time favorite and it's no surprise he comes back for All-Stars. Also his weight loss of 77lbs! will never be beaten), Kim Johnson (first Survivor goat?), Ethan (one of the most lovable winners of all time though his "honorable" win is definitely a product of its time).
Cast I'd Love to See Again: Silas (get him in Heroes vs Villains 2), Kelly (great potential with hilarious confessionals who unfortunately got screwed by Lex's ego), Kim Powers (childhood crush who I'd love to see come back with Alex from Amazon in a Blood vs Water 3), T-Bird (one of the most b
