IDK if it is allowed, but something I was thinking of with how many alts died this past year. It would be interesting to see if we can make a dead pool for alt coins. Some way that doesn't clog up the pain posting area.
For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about. Many alt coins died due to being scams, the makers didn't think things throw, or whatever. Some last for 6 months, some last for a year, and some only several years. We could use our moons to make a dead pool of betting on when a given coin dies.
US/ NJ - I have sports gambling winnings on a mobile sports betting website that I will need to report for 2021. I participated in a pool on the same mobile website that will run from sept 2021 - Jan 2022. It looks like I will have a loss on that pool entry once the football season is up in Jan 2022.
- is the pool entry considered a gambling loss that can be deducted against gambling winnings?
- if yes, which year would I be able to deduct that loss against winnings - 2021 or 2022?
