Harald baldr is a Youtuber currently posting videos of his trip to the Himalayas and the videos are getting quite a bit of views. It's interesting to see the lives of people living in a very remote place of our country. Anyone else here watch his videos?
So this is not a direct B&B discovery but a thought I had for a while which got triggered again by Gabriel Traveler's latest video from today. In this video Gabriel Traveler talks about his income on YT, which is quite interesting in general.

Apparently he also had "a deal" with Simon Wilson this year to post his videos on Simon's FB page to try to gain more views/subs to his channel. I remember also seeing videos from Kurt Caz on Simon's FB page a while ago. The interesting part here is, that there is no public connection between these guys and they never talked about that business relationship before.
That is different with the "Three amigos" where Bald, Baldr and Simon go on a trip together and pose in public as a group of friends. Also we already discovered the business connection (which they never talk about) where Simon owns that UK promotion company that Bald and Baldr are having a deal with.
So I am quite surprised that also Kurt Caz and Gabriel Traveller having deals with Simon Wilson to have their videos on his FB page. Seems like Simon is the pimp for all them here. If you want to grow your channel, then you must come and fawn to Simon. Otherwise you will remain a meaningless small-tuber.
My question though is why Simon Wilson is the central figure there?! In my view he is a travel vlogger who had his prime 2-3 years ago when traveling to XYZ-country without money and eating for free at McDonald's was still a novelty that attracted viewers. His more recent videos are far from that success.
So why is Simon Wilson FB page such a desirable moneymaker and promotional tool? Especially because those guys have YT accounts which are as big as Simon's. I find those connections quite interesting, since they never talk about it and if Gabriel didn't talk about it, I would have never found out!
What do you think made Simon the godfather figure in the travel vlogger crowd that even the bigger guys are fawning to? Simon is literally pimping all of them into his FB page short-video "deals"
Since Baldr is dead, so we still pray to him? Do we view him as other living deities and pray/make offerings to him and can he still respond to the gifts?
So I just started Baldr sky, i'm starting Chinatsu's route.. and while i thought the lack of skipping read text after specific choices was bad on Nanoha's route, I did notice new info is dropped regularly.
However, Chinatsu's route is disgusting. You have a choice that appears 1minute into the game and it makes the entire text unskippable, yet no new info on the horizon so far.
Is there no alternative? A skip guide that tells me to skip until X point for new info? I don't want to reread the same beginning 4-5-6x... At least I figure the dive 2 routes probably prevent actual read text as well. Doesn't help the skip feature sucks when it works.. have to press "skip to next choice" several times for some reason.
For clarification I don't think he is, not even slightly but I have heard people say it (even here) and I just don't get why,
The guy has spent the majority of his life travelling to the most remote places on Earth, and when he does he chats with and makes friends with and partakes in the local cultures, he never looks down on them, he doesn't tell them what they do is wrong and he doesn't try to change their way of life or imply the European way is better
He has probably tried more ethnic food than everyone who has called him racist put together and has led enough of an interesting life to last most people 5 lifetimes,
Just this last episode he was sitting in a remote hut in the middle of a mountain in Nepal chatting with a woman with her 2 kids and drinking Yak tea, not in a way that ever looked down on them but in a way that wanted to learn what she had to share.
Preferably Iβm looking for an IWB but Iβm having trouble it seems with the three Google searches Iβve done. Anyone else know where to get one?
