How do you feel when you see men pissing on the Aurelian Walls?
This is a very ridiculous question but this forum is really the only place I can think to ask it.
I saw a guy today peeing on the Aurelian walls and I got a little upset. "How dare you urinate in this respectable establishment, you fucking idiot!"
But then again, knowing Rome I figured people have been pissing on it forever.

My visit to Rome included the visit to the Aurelian walls. These walls were first built by Emperor Aurelian and they were completed im 275. You can find them basically all around Rome but some sections are destroyed.

A cannonball still lodged in the walls of Rome from 1870 during the wars of Italian Unification. Near Porta Salaria along the Aurelian Walls, this was a photo I took when I was in Italy just before 2020.

In CK3 do I need the Duchy Title for Thrace for theodosian/Aurelian walls to be active?
Was doing a Byzantium to Rome run since I rarely played as them in CK2 Iβve got all of cairo and Thrace under my direct domain, Iβm working on Latium but wanted it all for my self as well Iβve got enough domain to do it but I wanted to assemble duchy titles in an efficient way for the ducal buildings.

The Emperor Claudius built the Porta Maggiore, a monumental double-arch connecting two Roman aqueducts, on the border of the Esquiline Hill in 52 CE. By 275 CE, the structure was incorporated into the Aurelian Walls, transforming this travertine decoration into a pivotal defense. Rome, Italy. [OC]

How did Rome's Aurelian Walls compare to Constantinople's Theodosian Walls?
Rome had the disadvantage of not being a port, so could not be securely resupplied by sea during a seige. But how strong and effective were its walls compared to the famous ones of Constantinople?

A section of the Aurelian Walls, which was built in 271-275 CE to supplement the Servian Wall, which were built in the 4th century BCE after the invasion of Gauls. Since then, Rome has expanded its borders, and the walls were used until the fall of Rome. [960x625]

[WP]The great library of Alexandria held perhaps the greatest collection of literary works in human history, but within its walls something was held that was so dangerous that, when discovered, Caesar, Aurelian, and Amr ibn al `Aas decided it was worth losing the endless knowledge to destroy it.

TIL that the Aurelian Walls in Empire Divided have their own unique model on the Campaign map
I was playing my old Aurelian save and was getting familiar with where I left off and noticed that Rome's walls looked different after I built the Aurelian Walls. It's the little things like this that I love to see in TW

A cannon ball still stuck to the Aurelian Walls from the capture of Rome in 1870. Built between 271-275 AD to defend the city, it took the Bersaglieri of the Kingdom of Italy more than 3 hours of cannon fire to breach them and capture Rome from the Papal States.

Aurelian city gate of Rome [OC]. The walls date from 270AD, but were also refortified and used in Italy's later wars. The gate shown here is Porta San Sebastiano and is the start of the Appian Way. I'd recommend renting a bicycle and spending a few hours cycling around the walls, and tens of gates.

Taxis and Aurelian walls...
Stupid question, sorry...
There's a flat fee of 48β¬ from the airport to inside the Aurelian walls, but my destination is just outside of them (near Cipro metro).
Will I risk paying significantly more than 48β¬?

Servian & Aurelian walls, Italy. These were the massive city walls of Ancient Rome. The 4th century BC Servian walls & 3rd century AD Aurelian walls extended for 11 & 19 km respectively. They were amongst the largest fortifications in the world outside of Asia. I'll post more in the comments.
