A list of puns related to "Attorney at law"
Edit: what should MY expected salary be? Also the owner is an ex Trope & Trope Partner. The OG of family law representing high net worth individuals and celebrities.
My short bio:
We are cannabis lawyers at Gleam Law! We have offices in the California, Washington, and Oregon markets and serve clients around the world. We practice business law, administrative law, intellectual property, and litigation with a focus on cannabis.
We help businesses form, comply, and thrive in the new cannabis industry. Our clients include farms, processors, retailers, dispensaries, and ancillary businesses such as publicly traded companies and international celebrities.
In the emerging cannabis system, regulatory bodies are struggling to grasp the complex subject matter. We help the government offices interpret the laws in regards to the practical application and use of medical and recreational marijuana.
This will be our fourth AMA! Theyβre always a great time for us.
Weβre looking forward to round four. Joining us this time will be:

... keep reading on reddit β‘I am looking for an attorney to help represent me in my custody case. I've been to numerous websites, of actual attorneys and review aggregators, and I've tried talking to several already. I've paid a couple consult fees already, but I haven't found a good fit. I've also learned my ex has hired what is considered the premier family attorney in our area (which isn't Portland - I am trying to find attorneys from outside of our area). I am hoping posting here can help narrow my search down.
I'm currently a 3L and am "graduating" in May. I've been working at a smaller firm for the past seven months on a part-time basis. I was wondering if anyone had any experience asking a boss to come on as an attorney. I'm still searching for a position, but figure that this may be one of my best shots because of the current job market. I'm mainly looking for a good sample message that I could send my boss without coming across too strong.
First time post that isn't a picture, this may not fit this subreddit but I feel like it should.
For context, I work at pretty big law firm and every Friday there are complimentary pastries/donuts/bagels in the break room for everyone.
One Friday a few weeks back, I'm sitting in there enjoying a fresh pastry with my coffee listing to a podcast when I here this rage voice coming from behind me.
Attorney: WHY DON'T THEY EVERY HAVE ENOUGH CREAM CHEESE FOR THE BAGELS! EVERY SINGLE TIME I COME UP HERE ON FRIDAY THERE IS NEVER ENOUGH FUCKING CREAM CHEESE FOR MY DAMN BAGEL!
Everyone else kinda looking at her like "are you really this upset about some cream cheese?".
After telling one of the hospitality people I work with about this, she tells me that it wasn't the first time this particular attorney had a fit about something that the law firm doesn't even have to provide to everyone. They do it as a nice treat and actually had to stop a couple years back because of others complaining that it wasn't a good enough selection of breakfast goodies. Also, when they order the bagels there is plenty of cream cheese but there are those that over indulge and don't think about everyone else maybe wanting some delicious cream cheese on their bagels.
All I could think is, I'm just happy to get a pastry and this person charging $350 an hour to their clients is upset over something so small. Bring in your own cream cheese if you want it so bad, or get your ass into work earlier since you know it's always gone by the time you get there.
Maybe one of those things you have to be there for, but the ego and entitlement of some people never cease to amaze me.
My short bio:
My name is Matt Cameron. I think about, write about, and practice immigration law nearly seven days a week. I have been a licensed attorney for twelve years as of September, and the managing partner of a three-attorney law office in the Boston area for the past seven years with a special focus on deportation defense and mitigating the immigration consequences of criminal convictions. I teach "Immigration and Urban America" at Northeastern University's School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs, am a member of the board of the Student Immigrant Movement, and regularly contribute background and commentary to local, state, national, and international media on American immigration matters.
I am here for you to AMA because there is probably no other major public policy issue in the U.S. with such a massive gap between the realities of the current policies and what Americans seem to believe the policies actually are. While the other big issues du jour like healthcare and climate change usually touch on things that we all have to live with, immigration is not an issue that most U.S. citizens ever have to personally confront in their own lives. (This, among many other things, might explain why we just elected a man who ran on the ugliest and most determinedly nativist platform in a century or more of American history while willfully failing to inform himself as to the system that we actually have.)
I thought an AMA might be one easy thing that I could do right now to do my part to fill the gap. For as long as I have been studying this issue, I have always seen people ask counterfactual questions like "why don't they just get in line?" or "why can't you fill out the forms like everyone else?" or "what part of legal immigration don't you understand?", and I thought this might be a good way to provide concise, factual answers to these counterfactual inquiries that could be useful to anyone who is genuinely trying to understand this stuff as well as to gain the benefit of the experience of discussing all of this with people beyond my immediate and extended social circles. (And to be clear: any and all of those three questions are absolutely welcome for further discussion, as are any others at all so long as they are made in good faith. Trolls will starve.)
I will keep my answers as objective and factually-grounded as possible, but full disclosure: I do have a strong pro-immigration (and pro-immigrant) bias, and am well past the point where I can
... keep reading on reddit β‘I have a suspicion that they lawyers think they are above hiring ad agencies or marketing experts to do a better job. And I know this is a widespread trend because I have seen it in multiple states across the country. What gives? Anyone know?
I suppose there's Attorney General but that's also law, right?

Two ways to view the world
So similar at times
Two ways to rule the world
To justify their crimes
By kings and queens young men are sent to die in war
Their propaganda speaks those words been heard before
Two ways to view the world brought Europe down in flames
Two ways to rule...
Has man gone insane?
A few will remain.
Who'll find a way?
To live one more day.
Through decades of war.
It spreads like disease.
There's no sign of peace.
Religion and greed,
Cause millions to bleed.
Three decades of war.
From dawn to dawn they're fighting die where they stand
The fog of war lies thick when armies scorch the land
When all of Europe is burning what can be done
They've been to war a decade two more to come
Long way from home
DΓΆpas och dΓΆ i strid
Lifetime at war
Has man gone insane?
A few will remain
Who'll find a way
To live one more day
Through decades of war
It spreads like disease
There's no sign of peace
Religion and greed
Cause millions to bleed
Three decades of war
When they face death they're all alike
No right or wrong
Rich or poor
No matter who they served before
Good or bad
They're all the same
Rest side by side now
Has man gone insane?
A few will remain
Who'll find a way
To live one more day
Through decades of war
It spreads like disease
There's no sign of peace
Religion and greed
Cause millions to bleed
Three decades of war
Has man gone insane?
A few will remain
Who'll find a way
To live one more day
Through decades of war
It spreads like disease
There's no sign of peace
Religion and greed
Cause millions to bleed
Three decades of war...
The world calls us to war once more.
And the Dine'Γ© will answer.
The PIF joins the war alongside the CRTH
