Armenians in Lebanon Puns

So I was doing some research about the Armenian genocide for a project and I came across something quite peculiar. In the wikipedia page about the Armenian genocide https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armenian_Genocide#Armenians_under_Ottoman_rule the portrayal of Ottoman treatment of the Armenians (prior to the conflicts) is quite bleak. It says they were overtaxed by Turkish and Kurdish neighbours, constantly attacked by Turkish and Kurdish citizens with no interference of the Ottoman government, they were forced to convert to Islam, could not even ride the backs of horses, and that the majority of Armenians lived in poor and dangerous neighbourhoods.

But in the page about Armenians under Ottoman rule https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armenians_in_the_Ottoman_Empire#Armenian_village_life it paints a very different picture. It says Armenians lived quite comfortably living in well-built homes and neighbourhoods, enjoyed autonomy, were exempt from military and were quite prosperous. It even mentions them riding horses despite it being supposedly illegal. There is no mention of forced conversions or overtaxation. In fact, it states that the taxes were collected by Armenian officials themselves, not Turks or Kurds.

IDK I just thought that was weird so I wanted to share. Wikipedia is... pretty horrible.

There are many social problems that must be solved in Armenia, we also need to change the image of what Armenian traditionalism is. Here is a list of negative behavior/mentalities that certainly need to be eradicated from our community:

1. Gender selective abortions
2. Treating the sons better than the daughters in the family
3. Normalized domestic violence and emotional abuse in the household (especially in rural areas)
4. The whole toxic “you have to have a siratz to be a real man” culture
5. Materialistic shallow rabiz mentality where people focus and worship limitless consumerism and simplistic entertainment
6. The supercringe showing off with material possessions thingy (this is downright primitive and against the development of our collective intellect, spirituality and cultural conscience)
7. Exclusively shaming the women for being “tun mnatsatz” while the sons hawayi live at their parents home untill their 40s
8. Violence and discrimination against homosexuals (you dont have to regard their sexuality as normal but there is also no need to be an asshole against them either - they are still our Armenians)
9. Pridefully claiming to be Christian but lack any form of basic theology
10. Harmful political tribalism: “if you’re not with us, you’re against us” (this is something that I need to work on as well).

11. Creating unnecessary ingroup divisions like “Parskahays, Syriahayer or Hayastanci’s are fake Armenians or not Armenian enough”

12. Pessimism and lazy complaining that is mostly done by our older generation

Wikipedia page on the conflict

Basically because of the conflict between the two countries, ordinary Armenian citizens aren't allowed entry into Azerbaijan. While Mkhitaryan could get himself a special visa in order to participate in the final (as it's been done prior in similar occasions), he's decided alongside the club not to do so. Could be for multiple reasons ranging from fear for his safety to giving a statement against UEFA for hosting a continental final in a country like that.

Mkhitaryan is one of Arsenal's top scorers in the competition so far. Final will be played between London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal.

edit: Arsenal lost 4-1. They won't play in the Champions League next season as the last hope of qualification was through winning the Europa League. They finished 5th on the league (the Top 4 qualify for CL). They will be playing the EL again next season.

Let us look at it this way, i am a politician that has millions or billions in the bank with potential to make more, i have robbed the country for years and will probably continue to do so.

however the people i am robbing are asking me to stop.

If i stop i will lose millions

If i don't then at worst they will keep asking until they stop and at best they will stop asking immediately

would i stop?
