A list of puns related to "Armenian Genocide"
Turkey has aggressively denied the Armenian genocide for centuries and their government still does so to this day. When the US acknowledged the genocide, they basically threatened that our relations would become hostile.
Not only do they deny the genocide, they put out propaganda to cover their tracks. Kim K has actually addressed the Turkish governmentβs attempts to cover up their actions.
Kim actually came under fire by leading Armenian organizations for producing Skims in Turkey and responded on twitter that she was going to create business ties with Armenia⦠but never promised to drop Turkey..
Now itβs hard to find info on whether Kim still uses Turkish sweatshops for her clothes, but I took a quick look at poshmark and did find some tags that still have βMade in Turkeyβ: https://poshmark.com/listing/NEW-Skims-Essential-Crew-Neck-Long-Sleeve-Bodysuit-619f18f4275e55b22d177b6e
So, wanna know what Kim meant by supporting Dem policies but Republican taxes? Hereβs an example. Social justice is a nice cute thing for her to have on the sideβ¦. but her money comes first.
P.S: if anyone wants to expand on this and create a medium deep dive, Iβd be honored
not that it is not needed to be talked about or recognized but it seems to me that a much larger portion of our collective attention/effort is devoted to this than other areas of our culture and national wellbeing.
I might be in the minority here on this but just wanted to get it off my chest.
I don't have a specific bastard to recommend on this one yet (although I am going to start looking) but I want to hear an episode on the Armenian Genocide. It's something that almost never gets talked about in America. I feel like most educated people are aware that something bad happened in Armenia, but unless they have a family connection, they probably don't know any details. One of my favorite professors was Armenian and she talked about it a bit and I feel bad for not knowing more.
I wonder what would Armenia demand if Turkey acknowledge the Armenian Genocide? Would it be reparations for harmed Armenian families or any soil demand that like "give us Artvin, Ardahan, AΔrΔ± etc"? I think we shall return the old Armenian properties in Turkey. We shall pay reperations for the families. We shall make an apology in the UN for those families suffered during the genocide. After that we could lift sanctions on Armenia and cooperate in economy, many other areas. With normalization Armenian diaspora could stop undermining Turkey in USA. It's a win-win isn't it?
P.S: Please forgive me if i couldn't express oneself well. I have no intention for offense anybody, genocide is a sensitive subject that i would never mean disrespect. I just want to peace and cooperation between our countries not hatred..
