Manifesto of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation

1. The Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) is an independent workers’ party of the revolutionary Armenian workers and peasantry. We are an international party of the workers and peasants of the world. The Armenian workers and peasants are not the only oppressed nationality in the world, but is the focus of our struggle. We should fight for the national rights of every nationality regardless of its language, religion, political traditions, and economic status. As long as we retain our revolutionary principles and methods, we shall not give up our revolutionary theory and revolutionary practice.

2. The ARF is anti-imperialist. We reject and condemn the reactionary policy of the Ottoman and Russian empires. We are not in favour of a policy of imperialist rivalry with any other country. The ARF will be opposed to the policy of exploitation of other countries by the capitalist-imperialist countries.

3. The ARF will never enter into any agreement with a country that does not respect the rights of the nations of the world. We do not enter into a relationship in which we lose our rights. We enter into such a relationship with the intention of preserving the rights of the Armenian nation. If such an agreement that goes against our revolutionary principles is entered into, we will fight it with all means at our disposal.

4. The ARF believes in the strengthening of Armenia's statehood, institutionalization of democracy and the rule of law, securing the people's economic well-being, and establishment of social justice, and a democratic and socialist republic in Armenia. We are sure that these conditions will provide an environment where peace, justice, and democracy can truly be established, and where the Armenians can live in relative prosperity and freedom, economically and socially.

5. The ARF will have no intention of going to the aid of the imperialists and capitalists, and we have absolutely no intention of betraying our people, nor of letting them be betrayed, whether it is to the capitalists or the imperialists.

6. The ARF must be able to learn from the masses and give to the masses. If not supported by the working people, the ARF will be useless. Our demands must be formulated in a clear and definite way, in order to appeal to the interests of the working people

Hey guys. I just had a question and something that needs to be cleared up. This is something I've been curious about and I would appreciate some answers :)

Why does the ARF have such a bad reputation? How come some of our leaders (Ozanian, Nzhdeh, Monte) were so against the ARF? There's a great book called "Ranjparneri Kanchuh", and in one chapter it basically said that the ARF political figures held back our military masterminds from moving into Ottoman territory to regain the lost lands. Andranik basically had several thousand troops, with the Ottomans retreating, and was ready to go on the offensive, but the ARF leaders told him not to because they had already signed the Treaty of Alexandropol. Are there any more instances of ARF inability to do the right thing?

I understand the ARF, on paper, stood for the absolute best for Armenians, so why do most people hate the Dashnaks?

I keep hearing contradictory ideas from Lebanese Armenians about Hezbollah.

Mainly there are two opinions

1. If Hezbollah is gone, Israel will renew relationships with Lebanon and everyone will benefit from that.

2. Without Hezbollah, Sunnis will come to power, and Armenians will face persecutions because they don’t like us, and we get along with Shias quite well.

Everyone can participate, but I would appreciate insight from Lebanonahays.

Is Hezbollah good for the Armenian community or no ?
