A list of puns related to "Arches of the foot"
So I decided to dust off my longboard (gbomb cambiar) and thought I would kill time after work and hit the trail by my job. The route I did was about 1.5 miles round trip. Board itself is a nice, comfy ride and low to the ground for easy pushing. About a half mile in, I noticed that my foot that was on the board began to feel like it was on fire, pain in the arch. Is this likely a biproduct of having not ridden a board a decent distance for several years? (want to say a good 7 years)
Hoping this is something that with conditioning it will go away. For what it's worth, this feeling has happened too rollerblading and ice skating. The pain went away after 20 minutes on the ice.
I know I should probably be wearing proper skate shoes for this but what I'm wearing has good arch support, lasted me 2 days of walking total of 14 miles each day (a couple days at Cedar Point) with no sore feet.
I have very low arches, and discovered this during my first dance class, where I asked my teacher why my arches weren't defined (her arches were so high, most likely because she was a professional dancer and had improved hers) and she took notice of mine and said that some people just had feet like that. I later learned that I had flat foot and this could possibly affect how I danced. Is there a way for me to develop my arches?
For whatever reason, the arches of feet are very tight and cramp up when they are flexed/pointed. I notice this the most when I'm doing Bulgarian Split Squats. The foot on the bench (which is pointed) and flexed down really cramps up after a few reps. Are there any stretches or exercises I could try that would prevent this? Thanks for the help!
Hi Everyone! For the last couple months Iβve had a pain in the arch of my foot, which gets a lot worse if Iβm walking. When I rest it for a couple days the pain goes away, and when I try to walk again it comes back (sometimes with a vengeance). Iβve done some googling and the pain looks isolated to the area called βthe knot of Henryβ - is anyone familiar with this? My ankle doesnβt hurt at all, itβs just this one area. When I walk and put weight on my toe for pushing off of the floor it sends an electric shock down my foot.
Im seeing a podiatrist soon so I hope to get answers. Iβve been told in the past that I overpronate when walking and Iβve worn and adjusted custom orthotics for this for the last 5+ years. Any advice is super appreciated as I canβt work right now due to the discomfort and pain.
Hi, I noticed slight discolouration yesterday, but it was nowhere near as bad, and I just assumed it would go away. I woke up this morning and it had become significantly worse.
There is no pain or discomfort associated with the discolouration.
I am a perfectly healthy 19 year old man. I am 6'3 225lbs.
I am not currently taking any medication, and had to be cleared to play varsity sports at my university a week ago, so had all my vitals taken (everything that needed to be done to determine I was healthy).
I haven't been eating super well the past week, as I've had a lot of midterms (probably not as many fruits or vegetables as I should be eating, more junk food than normal etc) , and I've probably consumed more alchohol than I should have, but other than that nothing super out of the ordinary has occurred.
Here is a link to a picture of the discolouration https://imgur.com/a/MUHvJ5a
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm super busy this week so I'm hoping I don't have to go get an appointment with my university's medical centre (as that takes a long time) but if I have to obviously I will.
Itβs only in one foot and itβs more of an ache then a sharp pain, what can I do to avoid this?
Been working 10-12 hour days lately but Iβve never experienced this in the past..
