A list of puns related to "Amuse (music company)"
Recently rediscovered BABYMETAL after enjoying their songs in 2016. Came up on my playlist, wondered where they are now and discovered that I missed a lot (a lot of great music). I have been going through their history and Yuimetal leaving the band.
With Yui leaving, I am sure you know the story so correct me if I am wrong, that there was no warning with the first indication that she was missing is that she didn't turn up on tour. Still took a long time before an official announcement was made. I thought this was weird as a western band missing a key member on tour would be communicated well before the show. I also noted when they get interviewed, they seem to be very closed on the questions asked and answers given like the questions are screened, like there has been no questions about the health and status of Yui. If this happened in the west, I imagine there would be many questions asked (possibly by paparazzi in front of her home sadly). I put this down to the way that Japanese do things as this is the only Japanese band I follow.
But then browsing reddit on r/all an r/Hololive post came up. Hololive Production is a Japanese entertainment company owned by Cover Corporation employing virtual streamers (vTubers). In the post one of the vTubers personally posted about needing to take a month off due to having bleeding vocal cords. The post went into detail about what the doctor said and even mentioning about talking to management about it. It was open, direct from the performer, and seemingly uncensored. Out of all things, vTubers hired to play a character (like Gawr Gura paying as a 6000-year-old half shark/human) the company wouldn't let them be so personally open.
So, which is the normal here in the Japanese entertainment industry? Is Amuse the norm and Hololive the exception, other way around, a bit of both, more complicated than that? Love to learn more about the Japanese culture in this regard.
I think there's groups like ateez/skz/pixy/bts/g-idle where the rappers are a huge part of why the group is so good, and are either really necessary to their sound or elevate their music in general, and groups where I don't think they really needed a rapper, but I ended up really liking them (like dami from dreamcatcher and moonbyul from mamamoo), but honestly with a ton of groups, whenever I hear a rap part, I'm just like.... but why?
It's not that I'm hating on the idol rappers themselves, it's more about rap parts being shoehorned into every song when it really really would sound better without them. For example, I'm the ultimate #1 moonbyul stan, but there are a fair number of mamamoo songs where I hear the rap parts, and I just feel like they absolutely do not fit the song at all? Like in pretty much every song that a rap part fits in, her parts are my favorite, but not every song needs a rap in it! (it's especially offensive considering the fact that she's a good singer and could have just.... sang those parts lol) Especially with a lot of ballads or really cute, bubblegum pop songs. tbh there's a lot of songs where I just skip the rap parts entirely, even if it's my bias, just because of how out of place they feel.
It's something that makes me especially appreciative of ive (so far, since they have like 2 songs), stayc, and brave girls. Their music (at least in my opinion) wouldn't really sound good with rap parts, so instead of still making a member rap just so they can have a rapper, they just like... don't do it lol.

Why I think this is unpopular? Well... Because "SM does amazing music" is like one of the kpop axioms. And I would have agreed in some years or even periods... But... Writing down a 2021 company recap in another comment I realized how much their ratio hit/miss is low compared to the other companies.
I am not considering "what is the absolutely best release?" or "how many good releases there were?". I am looking at the list of the companies artists (most of them, I obviously don't listen to every single song) and doing my personal ratio hit/miss. It's obvious that a lot of artists = a lot of good songs, but if there are a lot of bad songs from a lot of other artists my personal ratio will be low(er).
Yes I genuinely think SM this year... Wasn't it. Both musically and conceptually. Red Velvet, Taeyeon and Aespa were huge disappointments for me and NCT forgettable. They have A LOT of artists so obviously they also have half of them doing very good but the ratio is definitely the

A lot of people on YouTube struggle with getting their ad revenue taken away because there are companies whose sole purpose is to claim content on youtube to try and take your money as well as companies who will claim seconds of fair use material just because youtube allows them. Here is how to fight it. This also allows you to make money from your channel if you are not a partner to help out small channels. This is how you make your own copyrighted music and how to claim it on your own videos and get at least 50% of your ad revenue during its peak while you try and fight other claims.
First you need to create your own original music. Either use any DAW that you OWN, or pay someone else to do it for you. I use ProTools for audio anyways and they also have a free version and know those tracks you make you own. Fiver is also a place you can go and pay for someone to make a track but be careful with that and make sure it is all original audio. If you go the Fiver route make sure to explain what you are using it for and don't cheap out on a seller. All you need is about 25 seconds of your original song to get YouTube Content ID to pick it up so set that as a mark for length. Make sure the music is VERY distinctive. No remixes.
Optional but easy: Take that original track and loop it till the song is like 3 minutes long. Really make sure Content ID knows that song.
Now you got your song it's time to get someone to distribute it for you. This is up to you. There are some companies that will only allow you to keep 80% of your ad revenue, some that charge you monthly fees, some that charge you yearly, or some that are free but won't pay you out claimed revenue for a couple months. Make sure that any company you go with uses Content ID and auto claims videos. Here are a few.
amuse: free but takes 60 days to pay out
Distrokid: $20 dollars a year but pays out within a couple days
cdbaby: one time payment then takes 30% commission
Those are only a few but shop around to find what's right for you.
When you are all signed up you will have to upload your track. Name it and if you want make some album art to upload it too. Some companies will auto upload your song to every available platform and some will make you manually choose what platforms. Make sure to turn on monetization through whatever company you decided to use because some won't do it for you automatically. There should be options to do this when your uploading the song though.
Now it will pr
... keep reading on reddit β‘A youtube video titled 'noise music' ruined kpop; now I am aware that the creator expressed that anyone or the majority of persons who would like to counter the creator's opinion may be delusional and in denial. Therefore in my state of denial, I would proceed with my rant and counterexamples; the 'noise music' is not the actual problem.
First, there is no 'noise music' in kpop that is an incorrect term further explained in many Reddit posts just search kpop noise music. These song descriptions are heavy EDM, hip-hop/rap inspired elements, dance-pop or other genres; they are more than just 'noise.'
The issue with some of or what feels like most of the 4th Generation music is not that it may sound jarring, very in the faced, heavy EDM, but the truth is most of it is lazy. Some companies are becoming lazy in producing their music, most heavily depending on visuals, the typical kpop genic beats, some catchy yet cringy lyrics and intense choreography. Some 4th Gen is following the trend of just looking 'cool,' but not having any substance of actually being 'cool' within the music or production.
The creator's intentions for the video is what I just said, then it definitely didn't come across that way. It's not what you say; it is how you say it.
They are groups who use these heavy EDM in their music and have some great work:
Stray Kids - God's Menu, MIROH, My Pace, Side Effect, Voices, Double Knot
NCT - Firetruck, Simon Says, Cherry Bomb, Punch, Stronger, Drippin
Seventeen - Getting Closer, HIT, Fearless
Shinee - CODE, Hitchhiking, Spoiler
TVXQ - Rising Sun, Keep Your Head Down, Humanoids, Catch Me
Infinite - The Eye, Back, Bad, Destiny, Synchronise
Big Bang - BBB, Fantastic Baby, Good Boy
Golden Child - Burn It, One, Wannabe
Verivery - Thunder, GBTB, Get Away, Trigger
TXT - Puma
Black Pink - Playing with Fire, As if it's your last
BTS - Fire, Silver Spoon
And can definitely keep going insert Snuper
There are groups and producers out there that making use of the fusing between rap/hip-hop, EDM and other genres in kpop and generalization statements is kind of an insult to their work.
Second, not everyone will be into it, and that is understandable. No one should force themselves to like a song; personally, I didn't like No Diggity by Oneus but not because it is 'loud,' but I don't enjoy the chorus; the verses are standout. They lost me at the hook; I found it weak, and that is just my opinion because someone else can really like this song to

Looking at you Woollim and Mystic Story
I listen my music on Youtube bcs it's also fun to glance at the MV every once in a while when listening to a song. I'll sometimes loop a song or just let an auto-recc youtube playlist be in the background
Listening to Lovelyz Obliviate was such a chore bcs I love the song but then I hear the intro and it just pushes me to a different vibe and then Obliviate comes on and it's two completely different vibes? It disrupts the listening process so muchhhh
And when they do it on performance versions it's even worse. I usually can't find the auto generated Youtube one which is just the audio, and so performance vers are good for having the whole song without any intros/outros/MV specific sounds... and then yet the perf. vers for Lovelyz songs STILL has the company intro
Mystic story's intro is somewhat dynamic and sounds okay with both of billlie's songs so far, and the Woollim intro kinda works with Lovelyz Destiny but there's songs that the intros just don't work with
Outros are kinda okay bcs they kinda let you rest from the song but intros dampen that anticipation you have with songs
Hoping more title tracks auto-generated audio version can be found more easily or at least performance vers without the company intro is uploaded (ps idk if i flaired it correctly)

Iβm talking about like, if you yourself have used it and had success. Iβve applied to a couple myself but Iβm not sure if I will get any success from it.
After a lifetime of watching BBC shows, I only noticed in the last few years that Brits say "us" with a voiced consonant--uz. Americans say the unvoiced usss. Somehow my subconscious had just ignored it for decades, but now I hear it so distinctly.
Im still in recovery as "uz" makes me giggle. Reminds me of the American midwestern/southern pronunciation of "greasy" as "greazy". Its so cute when my southern (but not heavily accented) boyfriend says this.
Is there an American equivalent? A word that sounds silly to British ears, no matter how many times you've heard it?
