They had members in Parliament from 1935 to 1979, but became defunct in 1988. The peaked at 30 seats in 1962 (over 10% of all parliamentary seats), but slowly declined afterwards.

Today, the movement is dead. Why? Also, why was its proto UBI considered a right wing ideology? Why was it associated with anti semitism?

I study political parties as a hobby, and in most democracies when one party dies either a new one takes its place or an existing one gobbles up the pieces. In America, the Whig party was destroyed by the rising Republicans, who would go on to absorb all their old members and basically replace them. In the UK, the Liberals lost most of their voter base to Labor and permanently ceased to be the go-to big tent for those left of center, even if they did stick around via their merger into the LibDems. And even in Canada, there's a clear continuation with the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation and the NDP. But according to my (very preliminary) research, the Social Credit Party just kinda...stopped. It lost it's place in government, then stopped being a real contender, then stopped winning seats at all, and then just fell apart. So where did its base go? The Liberals? The PC(or what was then the PC)? Both, neither?
