A list of puns related to "Alan fitz Flaad"

Not a fan of either of them but their on-air apology to Rivers and Campazzo was a class act.
Sorry if it was discussed somewhere else I looked for answers here and couldnβt find it.
I just finished the Assassinβs fate and though I liked it I donβt understand why we didnβt get more about Chivalry and Fitzβs mother.
When I red the second trilogy of Fitzβs adventures I couldnβt help but asking myself WHY a man who was trained to be such a good spy doesnβt try to know more about his parents. WHY he doesnβt ask about how his father died or what really killed him. Iβm sure Chade knew. Fitz only has minor clues and itβs enough for him ?
I donβt remember in which book he goes to the Mountain kingβs funerals. I really thought he would try to find out about where he grew up and who was his mother.
I know he tried all his life to forget the pain of being torn apart from his mother who cared about him but as a spy Iβm sure he was a bit more curious.
This end felt a bit incomplete about his parents and I have to say I feel a little betrayed we didnβt get more about this.
But I wonder if thereβs any clues in the books explaining why he doesnβt try to investigate about his fatherβs death ?
This post is pretty much just me expressing my embarrassment at being a bit dumb, but where better to share my chagrin with than with you lovely peopleβ¦
Of course, as the books are narrated by Fitz through a first-person perspective, the fact that he is the one interpreting and expressing events from his specific understanding is obvious, and was always at the back of my mind. However, Iβm currently doing a re-read and am up to the Golden Fool, and it has finally hit me (many many books too late oops) just how immensely important this narration style is.
My embarrassing revelation came about reading the part where Jek, my fave insatiable woman, is complimenting Fitzβs looks to Lord Golden/Amber, pretty much expressing that Fitz is certainly extremely handsome and Amber has done well ;)
However, this is very much at odds with what Fitz narrates whenever he sees himself in the mirror; a man who is aged beyond his years, scarred, weary, alone, nearly unlovable, and certainly no Adonis. This one small point, that how Fitz sees himself varies immensely to how others view him, displays to the reader so much about him and why he makes the decisions he does.
Clearly, this extends to more than Fitzβs aesthetic views about himself. Absolutely everything that happens to Fitz, those around him, Buck, and beyond are all presented to us through Fitzβs filter. I suppose concrete examples I can think of right now are more minor in the grand scheme of things, but important nonetheless. For example, there are relatively little things like him not interpreting Lord Goldenβs/the Fools subtle romantic gestures up until their quarrel in the Fitz and the Fool series, and how he viewed Burrich when he was a child as a perhaps more violent, unfeeling, and older man than he actually was.
To keep making me feel a bit dumb and jog my memory, does anyone have any times in the series where Fitz as the narrator is clearly being his silly Fitzy self?
CHILD GROOMER AND STATUTORY RAPIST ALERT!
DATING 15 YEAR OLD GIRLS I STOPPED WATCHING THE SHOW AFTER 2-3 EPISODES cause I knew they were gonna get together so I asked my friend ( who finished pll) about it. And it's turns out she was 15/16 when they had sex and in the end they got married kofvmcvdfjivdngtui . HE'S A PREDATOR AND STATUTORY RAPIST. AND TURNS OUT HE KNEW HER AGE ALL ALONG BYEEEE
ALSO THE AGE GAP IS NOT THAT BAD IF THEY WERE BOTH ADULTS
STATUTORY RAPE MEANING-
Statutory rape is the crime of sex with a minor when the sex is agreed to by both parties, not forced. The reason why it is considered rape is because the minor is considered to be too young to legally consent to have sex or sexual contact
All comments about Mandy, vocal fry, "buy me a margarita", her fiance, and her little buddy and her dog are to be put in this thread.
If Mandy Actually breaks news or impacts something in another thread we will be lenient.
TLDR: everyone from Fitz direct line shows a remarkable level of skill sensitivity and talent. Is this a basis for the potential Fitz once had? Dutiful learning and equaling Fitz with prodigious speed. Nettleβs mastery over dream control with no formal training and her eventually succeeding him as skill master. Fitz brief resurgence of skill strength after his and Chadeβs misadventure within the skill pillar. Beeβs extreme skill sensitivity and her feat of self-teaching herself to skill under life threatening circumstances in a relatively short period of time.
Myself and 2 others at a book club I attend stayed late and a tangent led us to discussing the Farseer books. All of us have read the books and take perhaps to much enjoyment out of thoroughly dissecting and discussing character progression and thinking through an authors intent with leaving small pieces of information. Often as not these pieces of information were never planted with the intent that they be extrapolated as such.
The discussion began as an earnest interest in Fitz fluctuation in his ability with the skill and the blocks that caused him to be as he himself declared erratic. First and foremost was the abuse he suffered at Galenβs tutelage. Having to battle Galenβs violation of his mind and in turn building prodigiously strong walls that Regalβs false coterie nor even Verity himself could begin to penetrate.
Galenβs fogging of his mind. Which left him believing he had no talent for the magic. Was it a full blown skill command that left him forever believing his talent was erratic?
The various beatings he suffered which left at least 2 sections of his skull fractured and made skilling a dreadfully painful experience.
His use and perhaps even abuse of elf bark which both Kettle and the skill scrolls of old indicate could stunt and even destroy oneβs ability to skill.
Years of isolation as the only if weakly trained skill user. Causing him to view the magic with apprehension and disdain. A genetic affliction, an addiction that leads to oneβs inevitable trek into the mountains to pour their being into a slab of memory stone.
Now we come to Dutiful. The son of Fitz Chivalryβs body and Verityβs soul. The spitting image of Fitz as a youth but with an uncanny likeness to Verityβs personality. Dutifulβs inheritance of the Wit and Fitz likeness seem to indicate that his genetic inheritance βs come from Fitz yet he is very much Verityβs son in personality.
From our discussion we
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hello all! Long time lurker in this sub (y'all are so creative!!) and finally pregnant with our first! We learned recently we are having a boy, so my brain has been on overdrive thinking of possible names. My husband and I want a simpler name, and not necessarily one that we will use a nickname for to avoid creating issues for kiddo down the road. (My husband's name is simple, but grew up with a nn of AJ, and it has been a whole thing).
Anyway, because of that, we have been thinking of names we would use and not just nicknames. We both like Fitz, but I'm not sure it's "full" enough. I know Fitz means "son of" which is maybe why I'm having this thought. Any way, what do you think of Fitz? Any other ideas?
Last name starts with F if that is helpful to know!
I have to say, my favourite character has to be Regal! Heβs such a charismatic young man, full of confidence and passion. Once youβve gained his loyalty he would do anything to protect you!
β¦. Neh, Iβm pissing about. Me and Iβm guessing 99.9% of this thread despise him haha.
Joking aside, my favourite character has to be Verity. I feel that he is the only one to truly treat Fitz like family with the occasional tousling of his hair, the toys he gifted him, the genuine smiles he regards Fitz with and making an effort to speak to him. He even gives Fitz a new crest, something that says βYes I am of the Royal line but I am more than just a Bastard.β
Everyone else in his family treat him as a tool and rarely use his full name of Fitzchivalry, Verity is the first and most frequent character to call him so. The poor boy didnβt know that was his full name was until Verity told him so!
Sure, Verity will often use his skills in the second book but he still makes that personal connection with him which is why Fitz is so loyal to him and often forgets he is his Prince when speaking. Not to mention Verity was the one to be outraged of how Shrewd and Regal were risking his life at the end of Assassins Apprentice and tried to defend him and stop the list of events that could (and without the Fool) would have happened. He is also the only one (other than burrich) to punish or think about punishing Galen for what he did to Fitz.
Also, the scene where he summons Fitz and asks him βWho is this Lady Red-Skirts Iβve been dreaming about!β Whilst attempting not to burst out laughing is hilarious, I love it.
Because I know a Iβll get questions about this, the reason I like Verity over Burrich and Patience is because Verity accepts who Fitz is, Iβm convinced Verity also knew he had the Wit too with how attached and in tune he was with Fitz mind throughout Royal assassin but he doesnβt mention it. Verity doesnβt try to change who Fitz is and accepts his judgement whilst Patience grooms him to be a prince. Something Fitz never was and never truly wanted to be, maybe when he was a young boy before Patience came around but once he knew what that entailed I genuinely donβt think he wanted any of that but of course, Fitz loves Patience because Patience is one of the few to love him. Burrich, well I love burrich but I cannot deny that sometimes he is a bit of a dick . I understand he feels strongly about the Wit but he refuses to listen to Fitz reasoning of it. He also tend

During quarantine last year I binge watched a lot of misfits, and watched all of their streams, in particular fitz. Also during quarantine my music taste branched out very far, and Fitz's spotify playlist was a big part of this. Unfortunately (not really unfortunate) his playlist is basically completely changed. I forgot some of the songs that were on this playlist, however am still working on finding them. Through my spotify data, however I have a playlist linked that has most of the music that was on his playlist from June 2020-nov 2020. So if you also like me listened to this particular playlist. Merry Christmas. While you are at it, if you enjoy this music, follow my main playlist. Edit: Feel free to comment music you think was on this playlist

After finding βGodβ, he mightβve been a little clingy, but he wouldβve made a good couple with Clare when she was overly religious.
I heard the name Fitz once and thought it was a super cute nn but not really a stand alone name. So I was trying to come up with a name it could be short for but the only ones I could come up with were Fitzgerald and Fitzroy. Fitzroy I just straight up hate, can't explain why its just a gut kind of thing. And Fitzgerald is ok but since I am not a huge Gatsby fan I am kinda put off by it as well.
So here I am asking: What are some 'Fitz' names? Give me all ya got, also I am open to thoughts on Fitz as a nn, love/hate, all opinions welcomed.
Update: He was a wonderfully written character but book!Snape was still a dumpster fire of a human being.
Alan Rickman's portrayal of him in the movies, however, was nuanced, brilliant, and absolutely sold me on the idea that maybe the was more to movie!Snape them I'd thought.
Meta Musing: I didn't realize that this kind of post was considered to be "a repost," but if you're truly that grumpy with either the "repost" that it represents or feel "no you're wrong!" then might I suggest simply downvoting the post and moving on without commenting?
Because the more you engage with it and the more comments you leave, the more redditors will make posts like this and more the reddit algorithm will promote them.
Clarification: Being abused does not justify abusing others. Continuing the cycle condemns you, it doesn't free you. Sirius was probably as immature about Harry as Snape was, yes, but he'd also spent "TWELVE YEARS!! IN AZKABAN!!" so he's probably a bit twitchier them he'd be if he'd had twelve years to mature outside of Nightmare Wizard Prison.
Again, Snape is a Great Character, certainly one with more nuance than Lord "Can't Even Kill A Baby." He's just a dumpster fire of a person.
Iβm obsessed with Fitzβs mother and the little we know about her.
Iβm trying to collect all the passages that mentions her to make a sort of Index of all the small parts in the books mentioning her.
Iβm looking for the pages where I can find it but the French books have been differently cutted so all the english articles I find don't help
(By the way, the French publisher did such an awful work itβs a nightmare, they made the 2 first Fitz trilogies a serie of 13 books, totally skipping the liveship trilogy, I hate them so much for that, they made me miss a lot).
Anyway, I would like to edit this post later with all those passages if you give me the ones you find.
Iβm currently re-reading the first book and thereβs a mention of her in the first chapter and also in the chapter 6 when he meets her in the market but doesn't know it's her (so tragic).
I also remember Kettle tells Fitz his mother loved him in the last book of the first trilogy (the 11th book in french "La reine solitaire") .
Finally, he mentions her in the last book of the Tawny man (the 13th book in french "adieux et retrouvailles") when he gets back the memory of her mother he gave to the dragon lady.
And of course at the very end when he gives his memories to his wolf, but it's a vrey tiny one mentioning her hair color.
So for now here is what I have :
Book 1 - "L'apprenti assassin"
Book 6 - "La reine solitaire"
Book 13 - "Adieux et retrouvailles"
"L'assassin et le fou" - Book 3
To be completed cause the books are differently arrange and I don't have the english books.

If you have more and you recall where it is I'd love to read it !
Does Fitz stream anywhere at the moment because I saw that the last time he went live on twitch was 7 months ago.
Am I crazy? Iβm not supposed to like him right? Please tell me heβs an unlikeable character on purpose. Iβm three seasons in and wondering how much more of his whiny pompous ass I can take.
