The problem with older Asians aka foreign born mainland Chinese immigrants that come here in their late 50s 60s and even 70s is they refuse to accept American culture, adapt to American life nor do they respect American history or the sacrifices of dead Americans in prior wars that allowed them to immigrate here in the first place. So one can make the argument that do we really need and want people that support, proudly, their communist country in our country? We should shut off all immigration from China asap. Imagine in the 80s allowing millions of Russians into our country? Sure, some came in to parts of NYC after the wall fell but nothing on the scale of the Chinese invasion we're watching in broad daylight.

My ancestors moved to Sweden from the USA or Russia or Bolivia or Ireland or wherever in 1815. Seven generations of my family have been born in Sweden. Every member of my bloodline since then has been born, raised, lived, and died in Stockholm. My newborn child is born in Sweden, today, in Stockholm. My family has spoken nothing but Swedish since the mid 1800s. I have no living memory of anyone in my family using any language but ours outside of standard school education.
At what point is my family no longer immigrants to Sweden? What generation?
The story get more ridiculous when the administrators punished the Asian students for supposedly starting it. The administration had deliberate indifferent towards the racism and assault towards the Asian students. Which is so true for many Asian students living in America including me. Some students say chink every day and nothing happens. While if you respond back and say something racist back towards them then all of a sudden you're the racist one and get punished. The double standard in America when it comes to racism is ridiculous.

I will be moving to Sweden this year on a Sambo visa.
The date I have chosen is already pushing the required amount of time from the initial approval, to the physical move (6 months). One factor I have been weighing is waiting until the vaccine is available in my country before leaving. The problem is that our vaccine rollout is immensely absymal (no coordination, confusing directives, and our provincial government not willing to address the problem). Based upon a rough calculation of our vaccine, I may not be fully vaccinated by my move date. The second option is getting the vaccine once I arrive in Sweden (which is the scarier option due to travelling, and I risk putting off my move until 7-8 months from acceptance, which I was specifically told by my embassy is problematic).
My question is, will I even be allowed to get the vaccine in Sweden as a recent immigrant? I imagine I will not be seen as a "true" citizen, and will have to wait (I absolutely do not mind waiting until my age group is the target, and I know there are shortages in Sweden and the vaccine is slower) however I am worried I will not even be eligible at all. By my estimated time of arrival in Sweden, I will have my residence permit, will be registered under Skatteverket, have a bank account, etc. Is this enough?

I've heard this uttered before... not 100% sure if totally true, but if it is, I'm curious the reasoning behind it.
I would imagine that alot of it has to do with the fact that black Americans are in large part already entrenched into poorer communities... but wouldn't African immigrants be moving into this same communities/situations?
I watched this film when I was younger and in a hotel with my family, I wasn't supposed to watch it because it wasnt rated for kids my age (around 14 at the time).
I remember it was an international film as there were subtitles, it was potentially spoken in Swedish or Arabic (could be completely wrong).
Two main characters were guys, one African and quite young, the second was an older middle eastern man, during their travels all sorts of things happen, at one point they catch a ride (or pick up) a sex worker - I think both of the guys start to get romantic feelings for her.
There is a distinct scene with the African male cheering out the car saying "Sverige! Sverige!"
I'm not expecting much because my memories are quite vague, but this bugs a couple of times a year!
