Just for fun, I was thinking of picking up an abacus. But should I get a 4:1 abacus (works great for base 10) or 5:2 abacus (works great for base 16)? Any abacus geeks here able to weigh in?
Early in the last year, I discovered a band by the name of Brave Little Abacus, and I fell in love with them. They’ve made music since 2008 and have been well known for a while, and have also inspired lots of modern emo artists after them. But, that’s not what this is about.
Before them came a high school ska band comprising of most of the same band members, named Eggplant Danceoff! (including the exclamation point, if you were wondering,) which had an album by the name of Z-905.
I was intrigued to say the least, as Brave Little Abacus has become one of my favorite bands of all time, so it’d be interesting to see where they’ve come from. But, nothing.
There are records of their existence online, e.g. small videos, a MySpace, and discussions about them, but their music is no where to be found.
They seem to be one of the victims of the great MySpace purge of 2019, among others. People have heard their songs, but there’s no longer a way to access these in any form. Not even the lead singer, Adam Demirjian, seems to have access to these files.
This is my first post here, so I’m not entirely sure how it works to submit lost media, but I’ve been in the community for about a year now. So, my question is, how would one be able to find these seemingly lost songs?
