A list of puns related to "2PM discography"
I think a lot of us ELFs can relate to that. Most often I see ELFs that are also multi stanning 2nd gen groups, but even them is hard to get into for me. For context, I became an ELF in February 2021 (just before House Party), I also stan Bigbang (to a lesser degree), SHINee, Kangta (RIP) and Oneus, and I'm a cassie in becoming. I got into kpop in june 2020 with the 4th gen but i'm 99% a 2nd gen stan 1nd a sm stan.
Back the post. SuJu had been active for more than 15 years, has a large discography thanks to their military service strategy that allowed for only a short hiatus (kinda) and for almost only releasing full albums, plus their 5-ish sub-units. There is a lot of members, some left, but currently there are 9 of them active, which meant a lot of content, as seniors they tend to do their own thing. That and when they're together they always do some content together, going on variety shows as a group, doing some emission of their own (i want supertv 3 so baaaaad). When they don't promote as suju, they have a lot of work, so more content, songs, etc. which is nice.
Except when it isn't. Because nowadays new groups don't release full albums as much, and they often do their own thing on their channels, vlive, without really being on variety save for when they have a cb. they also don't have as many liberties, whereas several sujus have a yt channel, or an ig account, or twt, or whatever.
2nd gen groups, for most of them, weren't as active before 2021 (what a great year for us : 2pm, 2am, t-ara, ftisland, SHINee, cnblue, and probably others I forgot about, sorryยฒ), and 3rd gen and 4th gen groups and fandoms are so different it is hard to stan and interact with (especially on tiktok and twt where suju and ELFs antis are a disease :/). I also want to add that most ELFs I encounter are around my age, that is early or mid twenties, which is a plus.
There, I just wanted to, idk, say it because I feel kinda lonely as a really introverted (especially on social medias) ELF. Love y'all fellow ELFs <3
(on a side note that has nothing to do, i love KRY, but god is Changmin so underrated as a vocalist, he's really the best in kpop, even above Kyuhyun/Yesung)
I know that photographers, stylists, editors, printing people, and more have to be paid and are probably reflected in the cost. But some albums are expensive.
Iโve bought all my 70 albums secondhand. Iโve always watch videos, shout-out Shawlzenl! for unboxing before deciding to buy. I buy the album because I like at least 50% of the songs and the photobook are visually pleasing to me (or I just stream). Although I want to finish Shinee, Apink & RV discographies. I have a background in design, so Iโm always curious about the layout, what photos are picked, the number of pages, etc.
One of the appeals of album buying/K-pop is the inclusions, concept, and designs.
For example, Twiceโs Formula of Love is around $25 but with multiple inclusions. I was a little peeved with Aespaโs mini because 1) I felt a majority of the pictures in the photobooks were revealed as teasers and 2) the number of pages was low compared to the price, $22-28usd (reference: Shineeโs Donโt Call Me and Taeminโs Advice was cheaper and had more pages). I originally wasnโt going to buy the album because I only liked three songs, but I found a $12 bundle set on Instagram (if anybody wants more, they still have ~60 sets!) for a hallucination quest, two synk dive, and 1 case (sans pcs).
Something else that bugs me is how there are multiple versions but the same photobook (One and Six, ReVe festival finale, Press it). Another note is the number of versions for an album like Itzyโs Loco, ReVe festival day 1/summer magic, 2pmโs Must are cool if youโre collecting or bias a specific member. But NCTโs universe 21 jewel cases are crazy and can be wasteful. But, SM wants sales/$$$.
Iโm not familiar with a lot groups, and most of the albums Iโve bought are out of print. So please share group albums that were worth it or not to you, creative album designs, a limit on how many versions you buy, why you collect, favorite albums, etc. Love to hear anything!
[Very Long Post Ahead]
2021 was a very productive year for me (well, to my standards lol) in terms of my watchlist! I feel like last year, I shouldโve been more progressive with my watchlist, Iโve only managed to listen to Red Velvet and EXOโs discography-only two groups, and it took me a whole year ๐.
But now, I managed to listen to four groups throughout the year, and Iโm proud of myself! To be fair, thatโs mostly because (G)I-dleโs discography is pretty shortโฆ So, Iโm just gonna give my honest thoughts on the groups Iโve listened to!
Twice: Twice was the group I heard that only got better with their b-sides due their sound change. Some even said that Twice didnโt really have any impressive b-sides until Fancy You. But I disagree with the latter statement, I believed that Twice had some really good music in their 2015-2018 era. Their debut album was a welcoming surprise, and I personally believed the songs still hold up well today, especially Truthโฆman, that song is something else. But I do agree with the sentient that their music only got better in 2019.
With Fancy/Fancy You, I canโt help but still see โcuteโ Twice, just with a mature styling. The Feel Special era is where I start thinking โYeah, this is different from the regular!โ I believe More and More was a โtoo soonโ era. The era was decent: hit or miss title track, but solid album. It was too drastic from Feel Special, and people still needed to digest the new change that Twice was going for. I canโt tell you where I wouldโve placed More and More, but definitely not after Feel Special.
Iโm glad Twice isnโt completely derived from their roots, but theyโre not afraid to dive into a more mature and/or darker sound if they needed to like Make Me Go, Cry For Me, Last Waltz, etc. When I got done listening to the Yes or Yes album, I was thinking to myself โMan, Twice could be up there with Red Velvet and EXO in terms of the best b-sides.โ When I got done listening to the Feel Special album, Iโd say they solidify my opinion. And within each release, they continue to deliver with quality b-sides. Like Espresso could be a song from an SM group produced by Dem Jointz/Yoo Young Jin, itโs THAT good!
Favorite Albums and B-Sides from each:
Honorable Mention: Formula of Love (Last Waltz)
(G)I-dle: (G)I-dle was an interesting group I couldnโt wait to get into because they are the first group Iโve listened to tha
... keep reading on reddit โกI don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
They were cooked in Greece.
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
Don't you know a good pun is its own reword?
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies ๐
It really does, I swear!
Two muffins are in an oven, one muffin looks at the other and says "is it just me, or is it hot in here?"
Then the other muffin says "AHH, TALKING MUFFIN!!!"
Because she wanted to see the task manager.
But thatโs comparing apples to oranges
Heard they've been doing some shady business.
but then I remembered it was ground this morning.
Edit: Thank you guys for the awards, they're much nicer than the cardboard sleeve I've been using and reassures me that my jokes aren't stale
Edit 2: I have already been made aware that Men In Black 3 has told a version of this joke before. If the joke is not new to you, please enjoy any of the single origin puns in the comments
BamBOO!
Theyโre on standbi
A play on words.
My daughter, Chewbecca, not so much.
Pilot on me!!
Christopher Walken
Nothing, he was gladiator.
Or would that be too forward thinking?
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
What did 0 say to 8 ?
" Nice Belt "
So What did 3 say to 8 ?
" Hey, you two stop making out "
When I got home, they were still there.

I won't be doing that today!

This morning, my 4 year old daughter.
Daughter: I'm hungry
Me: nerves building, smile widening
Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
Thank you all for listening.
Where ever you left it ๐คทโโ๏ธ๐คญ
There hasn't been a post all year!

And then shook his arm really fast.
(True story, please groan with me.)
As far as my yearly watchlist goes, I had Wonder Girls scheduled for 2022 after I was done with Taeminโs music. However, I finished Taeminโs discography sooner than I expected-so why not get a head start on WGโs music?
After listening to their discography, I find myself really quite fond of their music. Itโs one of the downside/upside of getting into K-Pop in 2019: it sucks you werenโt there to witness the comebacks of most 2nd gen groups, but damn you can listen to all the music than you know what to do with it!
The Wonder Years is definitely my favorite album from them! It had so many great songs on there like Tell Me, Move, Good Bye, This Fool, Headache-too many to count! Of course, Wonder World and Reboot were amazing albums as well, but damnโฆMove is that bitch ๐
Favorite single might be 2 Different Tears because on how unexpected I would love the song ๐
Like This is a song I feel like I couldโve sworn I heard somewhere before, but I canโt put my finger on it. Regardless, the song is still a Top 3 for me.
As far as Top 3 title tracks:
Top 10 B-Sides:
If I was there during the 2nd gen phase, I definitely wouldโve had Wonder Girls as my favorite girl group at the time. And I probably wouldโve had Yubin as my bias because her parts are always my favorite. Their music really aligns with my personal music taste. They were the first 2nd gen group that I listened to their whole discography to, so I was really surprised on how well their music aged.
Iโve been trying to keep a consistent pattern going between female and male artists:
Iโm not sure exactly, but I know I want to do a 2nd gen boy group-leaning towards 2PM or SHINee. And then Iโll go back to 3rd gen with Dreamcatcher! Hope you enjoy the post!
To preface, I feel it started when I was getting into K-pop via Blackpink, and I was solely listening to them; listening to their title tracks and b-sides, and immediately falling in love with them!
But I decided to branch out a bit, and look for other groups I can listen to! So I wanted to make a โwatchlistโ for groups I was planning on listening to! And I love it because it opens my eyes to so many great songs!
For anyone whoโs curious:
2019:
2020:
Now 2021:
Plans for 2022:
Looking back on the list, I usually take a long time to finish a discography because I want the songs to โsit inโ with me. I feel like when I was younger, I would listen to an album, pick the songs that stuck with me on the first listen, and move on. That, and I take long ass breaks between albums ๐
I want to do BTS at one pointโฆbut their number of songs intimidate me lol.
2022, I definitely want to dedicated to 2nd gen; it would be interesting to see how well the 2nd gen music holds up from someone who got into K-pop when 4th gen was still in the beginning stages!
But yeah, nothing to add! I just wanted to share my feelings on doing this little discovery. If you want to share a watchlist of your own, feel free to share! Or ask some questions on what I feel about the groups I listened to so far.
