A list of puns related to "2K (company)"
Iβm a data scientist and new hires market analysts are being paid 85k but Iβm still stuck at 77 and some change. Itβs a stable and good job with a good amount of work life balance but if Iβm planning to have kids In a year or so Iβm not going to be able to sustain on this salary and medical bills, insurance, raising kids.
(This is my first post on this platform so please don't mind any mistakes)
I (22F) am graduating May 2022 as a Software Engineer and currently living with my parents in Dallas, TX and have two job offers lined up:
My plan is to use my first job out of college as a stepping stone. Meaning, I'll stay for a year or two then go to a different company for more pay. My concern is that if I choose the small company, will it be hard af to find a better job after? I feel like it will be easier to climb the ranks with a bigger named company like General Motors.
I read posts online from current GM new grad hires and the work they're put on isn't promised to be challenging or exciting. If I choose GM and I could've gotten the same experience and growth from the small company, I would hella regret choosing GM. Being alone in a new city is also frightening to me.
The ultimate goal is to get to three figures (LOL). To those who worked at GM as a Software Developer before, where are you now?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I've been struggling so much with this choice for the past 2 months. I didn't say the name of the small company because I know some people who also use reddit and I'm not ready for them to know about this problem of mine.
As per the title, my company let a senior engineer go as they asked for 2k raise. Let's call him Steve.
After Steve finished his apprenticeship he asked for a 2k raise as he was on 21k. They told him no as they already gave him a raise from 18k to 21k when he finished his apprenticeship. When Steve put his notice in no one batted and eye. He left and went to a job offering 27k.
Here's the weird part, the company then hired 4 guys, paying them 27k each average.
Why do companies do this...you could have kept the guy and just gave him a raise, why let him go?
It's things like this that scare me when I apply for a job elsewhere and find this same culture there.
Edit: I should have mentioned this is for a Telecoms Engineer role, fixing and supporting VPBX's.
And uninstall the app too
This game is trash , 2k is lazy because they have no competition... Whites go in nonstop the shooting needs to be nerfed it feels like a arcade game... no human in real life is gonna hit every single open 3... NOT to mention you canβt have certain jumpshots just because your a bigman
Theyβre so lazy itβs sad they donβt even update the game with decent hairstyles they gave us 5 new wack hairstyles
Why canβt we have the hairstyles the actual nba players have not trash generic ones 2k is so lazy
This game is made for kids like it crazy I was just 13 years old playing 2k12 so I understand but damn this game takes no skill
All I takes is one playmaking shot creator to shift the whole balance of the game whites go in everytime .. steals are overpowered everyone is all pro cornerback & chasing down blocks like Lebron in game 7
The playlist is trash who is trying to hoop to nonstop weird singing songs mane what
Everything in the mall as far as kicks or clothes is 40k VC like you just didnβt make us pay 50$ to make a build 2k16 17 & 20 were the last ones you could actually have a little fun or really enjoy
My parents are buying a new car and I might be taking their old one. I have had a license for approximately 3 years but I have not been driving a car and have been in a different state in college in my dorm. I attempted to get insured now under my family's plan but the company said that they have to backtrack and charge my family for the years I wasn't insured because "it is in their policy" to have everyone who had a license be listed immediately. They will make me pay approximately 750 dollars per year across 3 years for a total of 2.25k and are saying they will press charges if I refuse to pay this and move to another company.
I have never heard of any other auto insurance company doing this, can anyone help me out and let me know if this is even legal.
Thank you!
I see quite a few hesistant people in the sub who don't continue to buy good projects just because they're not getting a better price. In my opinion, if you've researched your project well and trust your sources then you should absolutely have no problem buying more even when the price is a little higher than your current average.
Yes, I'm aware that crypto is volatile and sometimes waiting is worth it for when the market pulls back like it may be doing now but don't chase other projects just because you may be getting them at "cheap" price.
I prefer getting into a good project at an okay price rather than an okay project at a good price.

We've been selling on Etsy since October but it's just moving so slowly. We want to just sell it in huge lots or all together. Anyone have suggestions? Edit: we're located in Alabama, US.
Three years ago, I discovered the concept of FIRE which opened my eyes to the possibility of financial independence. While I was not naΓ―ve to the basics of personal finance, there were clearly opportunities for improvement and so I decided to apply myself to making changes. At the end of 2019, I started a tradition of completing an annual summary write-up which I found to be a useful tool for reflection and planning. In recognition of this yearβs financial milestone, this write-up will combine the usual annual summary with additional detail about the journey to get to this point.
Advisory: This is a long post. For those who just want to see the numbers, you can see income/net worth in the 'Net Worth Update' section, and expenditure in the 'Maintaining a Savings Rate of 70%' section.
Net Worth Update:
I am pleased that I have now reached $1,040,247 net worth. The table below summarises my net worth journey.

"Breaking: @ERCOT_ISO is currently asking all transmission companies in Texas to shed an additional 2k megawatts in transmission to customers. This brings the total shed to 20k megawatts. In Dallas County currently has 350k @oncor customers without power. This is the most so far
The additional shed coupled with increased demand will likely increase blackout numbers and times. We should discuss how Texas let this happen. I understand your anger. Iβm angry too. But tonight-right now- is about human and animal survival. Check on and help one another!"
Blake Griffin is my favourite player oat, gave up on the game as im a clippers fan so I dislike Luka. I heard about Blake last friday (I live in Australia so the packs and content come out 1am Saturday), so I grinded the remaining 60k xp I needed hoping to get Blake. After being pissed he was unnattainable last week, the season rewind challenge was the nail in the coffin, although I'm enjoying luka, this game is so bad and money hungry, if it was last year even I'd grind the MT but now I have 2 jobs so that's impossible. Trust 2k to make a "free" fan favourite player 400k+ mt
