A list of puns related to "รle Amsterdam"
Seems like an interesting isolated place to visit, there is an inhabited settlement there as well. What do you think is this possible?
I'm planning to do a solo 3 month trip to Europe next year and honestly I'm already feeling way in over my head. I love being immersed in foreign cultures, learning about the local history, and meeting other locals/travellers(not too good at this, hence why I felt like going solo will force myself to step out of my comfort zone). That being said, I'm hoping to not land in the hot tourist spots as much as I can and just really get the vagabond experience. Lastly, I'd love to get to do some hiking (male in my late 20s and used to intense hikes).
I came up with a basic itinerary but I'm already feeling like its way too wild, and hoping to get other people's opinions on whether I can make it happen and not burn myself out. The main thing that's making me concerned is including Corsica. I'm hoping to do the famous GR20 trail because I got immediately infatuated with it but not sure if its too out of the way/expensive/intense with hauling hiking equipment. If you guys can give me your honest opnion if this is doable for about 8,000-10,000 CAD max, I would be seriously appreciative and feel better about my lunatic itinerary.
Here goes:
(I know Barcelona is tourist heavy but haven't settled on anything else yet)
Barcelona > Figueres (main reason to see the Dali museum) > Carcassonne > Montpellier > Nimes > Marseille > Nice > Corsica (taking the fairy from Nice) >Calenzana (Begin GR20) >Conca (End GR20) > Porto-Vecchio > Napoli > Rome > Florence > Gorizia > Ljubljana > Graz > Vienna > Brno > Prague > Munich > Amsterdam
Feel free to give me your honest opinions and/or just rip this plan apart. I'm tempted to get rid of Corsica and just stick along the north of europe as I make my way east then south to Italy.
EDIT: Thanks to everyone's amazing suggestions! Incase anyone comes across this post, I've narrowed it down a tad bit, removed Spain (RIP), but kept Corsica because I feel like its way too good to get rid of. I'll try to figure out how to bring the lightest hiking-camping kit.
France Montpellier(5 days) Nice(9 hour ride to Corsica)
Corsica L'รฎle Rousse(3 days) Calenzana(13-15 days hiking) Porto-Vecchio(2 days)
Italy Naples(6 days) Florence(5 days) Trieste (3 days)
Slovenia Ljubljana (5 days) ??????
Austria ????? (5 days) Vienna (5 days)
Czechia Ceske Krumlov (1 day) Prague (5 days) Hrensko (2 days)
Germany Berlin (5 days) Cologne (3 days)

... keep reading on reddit โกThe funeral director was asking us what we think Mum should wear in her casket.
Mum always loved to wear sarongs (fabric wraps that go around the torso and drape downward a bit like a long skirt would), so my uncle suggested that she wear a sarong in there.
The funeral director looked a bit confused, as did some of our family members, to which my uncle added:
"What's sarong with that?"
I started laughing like an idiot. He was proud of it too. The funeral director was rather shocked. We assured her, and our more proper relatives, that Mum would've absolutely loved the joke (which is very true).
His delivery was perfect. I'll never forget the risk he took. We sometimes recall the moment as a way help cushion the blows of the grieving process.
--Edit-- I appreciate the condolences. I'm doing well and the worst is behind me and my family. But thanks :)
--Edit-- Massive thanks for all the awards and kind words. And the puns! Love 'em.

True story; it even happened last night. My 5-year-old son walks up behind me and out of the blue says, "hey."
I turn to him and say, "yeah, kiddo? What's up?"
He responds, "it's dead grass."
I'm really confused and trying to figure out what's wrong and what he wants from me. "What? There's dead grass? What's wrong with that?"
.
.
.
He says, totally straight-faced, "hay is dead grass," and runs off.
And then you will all be sorry.
No it doesn't.
Now itโs syncing.
He replied, "Well, stop going to those places then!"
