A list of puns related to "Zelda's Adventure"
#On this day (January 14) in Nintendo history...
Tennis was released in 1984 for the Family Computer in Japan. In this sports game, developed by Nintendo, serve, point, match in this classic game of Tennis! Players can choose between five different levels of difficulty, ranging from Beginner all the way up to Advanced. If players want to become true chumps, they should be ready to show off their most brilliant lobs and most powerful smashes. Play a singles match or grab a partner for doubles, and go head to head with your opponent.
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link was released in 1987 for the Family Computer Disk System in Japan. In this action role-playing/platform game, developed by Nintendo, the Hyrule fantasy continues. Link returns to Hyrule to search for the Triforce and to awaken Zelda from an endless sleep. Embark on a quest to find the Triforce of Courage and save Hyrule from ruin. Learn magic spells, talk to people in towns to get clues, collect items to increase your power, and explore six palaces where the underlings of the evil Ganon await you.
Last Window: The Secret of Cape West was released in 2010 for the Nintendo DS in Japan. In this adventure game, developed by Cing, enjoy puzzling out the mystery behind Kyle Hyde's past and solving the crime in an adventure. A year after the events of Hotel Dusk, retired detective Kyle Hyde is fired from his salesman position at Red Crown, and his apartment at Cape West is due to be demolished. * A third series of Animal Crossing amiibo Cards was released in 2016 in Japan. There are one hundred cards in total as part of this series.
What are you favourite memories of these games? How do you think they hold up today? Hash it out in the comments.
(I am a bot. I think that I'm posting Nintendo events from this day in history, but if I've made a mistake or omission please leave a comment tagging /u/KetchupTheDuck).
Holy smokes! Iβm 38 and now obsessed with this game. As a kid, I remember quitting and hating the game after Iβd rented it. The travel battle scenes were annoying. But now I am having fun with it. Just finished the second dungeon so Iβm not far but I have changed my mind 30 years later.
I'm trying to remember this game, but I can't even remember whether it was Sega or Nintendo. All I remember about it was that the graphics were a little better than Legend of Zelda and that you could get elemental swords. The Earth sword caused an earthquake, and if you charged up your swing it would cause an avalanche. The Wind sword pushed enemies away from you, and if you charged up your swing it produced tornadoes. I don't remember what the other swords did.
Edit: One of the first quests involved a talking tree, and you had to go inside the tree to clear out bad guys. Inside the tree is where you get one of the swords.
Awesome game, definitely not for everyone but such an unique experience!
Here's Sakurai's anniversary post. To think how well represented this game is on smash bros, especially on Melee with ITS OWN STAGE AND MUSIC just wow. π₯³

I've seen some posts online concerning older game's positions in BOTW but it seems that most get it wrong for Zelda II. It seems that the entire Western part of the game's map is re-created in BOTW.

Don't believe me?
The map has the same curve and peak that leads into the Ritaag Zumo shrine (site of Parapa Palace in Zelda II): https://i.imgur.com/Xk1an15.png
The same small lake next to it with the bridge leading into Tarrey Town, (site of the north castle in Zelda II): https://i.imgur.com/7IMsjpt.png
Rucco Maag is in the other side of the river where Saria town is, matching the river in Zelda II is exactly: https://i.imgur.com/HrsvfO4.png
Even the two little peninsulas in the bottom of the map are identical, with the matching lake and all: https://i.imgur.com/ZugIacB.png
Thankyou to nesmaps.com for providing the map of TLOZ2!
I think this could be a fun way to reimagine and experience the first game. Curious other peopleβs thoughts.
I got into Zelda early this year through BoTW and fell so deeply in love with the franchise I decided to play every single game in order of release (after playing both BoTW and Skyward Sword HD on the switch).
The Legend of Zelda (NES) was fun and with a guide not too challenging (took me about 12 hours to complete and none of it was difficult with the walkthrough) but then I was dreading playing the Adventure of Link so much. I kept reading everywhere thatβs itβs dreadful and hard and just not worth it for anybody apart from hardcore Zelda fans.
Well what a surprise itβs been playing it for the last week and realising how much fun I was having! The game is challenging and playing it in 2021 you MUST absolutely use a guide and save states (without save states especially the game is doable but it would take weeks to finish) BUT itβs challenging in the best way possible.
Trying to beat all the bosses and the enemies is so frustrating but super satisfying and itβs the first game that had all the classic Zelda elements. Itβs insane how much effort, love, attention and thought has been put into it by the developers. Even back then Nintendo was just eons ahead of everyone else. The game pushes the limitations of the hardware to its limits, trying to pack in as much as possible. The combat is creative and fun even by todayβs standards.
For anyone who is scared to give it a try honestly just play it up until the first dungeon and you will be shocked by how much fun it is. It took me 17 hours from start to finish (using save states very liberally as I said above) and every second of it was pure fun (yes even the death mountain and the lead up to the Great Palace).
Hi i've just released my game first demo last week! And really appreciate some feedback and if you like it, wishlists too!
RoadOut is a post-apocalyptic action-adventure game that mixes dungeon exploration and racing mechanics. Unravel the mysteries and dangers of the Dead Zone by performing tasks in the role of a mercenary.
You can check the gameplay and play the demo on our steam page
Repost due to automod losing its shit over a missing bracket in the title.
Genre: Zelda-like top-down scrolling adventure
Estimated year of release: 1998? I think I was in middle school when I played it.
Graphics/art style: A brightly colored but fairly crude pixely world, somewhere between Phantasy Star and Ultima 6. Pretty sure it only ran in windowed mode
Notable characters: Main character was a blonde guy with futuristic-style armor
Notable gameplay mechanics: Mostly sword-fighting, but I think you had blasters too.
Other details: I vaguely remember direct references to Star Wars things, like Droids and the Force. There may have even been enemies that looked exactly like R2-D2. It was almost definitely a one-person operation programming it.
My hopes aren't high for being able to find it. I can't even remember where I downloaded it from back then.
I know many others do not like the game, but I pretty much love it. What do you think of the game? Without being harsh and aggressive, please.
I want to play zelda four swords adventures with my sister but i only have a wii, a gba sp and a ds lite. I believe that the wii can serve as a game cube and the gba as a controller, but does anyone know if the DS lite, which has the same input as the gba, can also be used?

EDIT: I got it to work! In case anyone has a similar question, I used the built-in mGBA emulator. First, you need to download the GBA BIOS and put it in Dolphin Emulatorβs GBA folder (if you donβt, you will get an error message and wonβt be able to use the controller for GBA emulation.) Then, set the controller for each player to GBA (Integrated) in the Controllers menu. Configure each of them however is most comfortable for you. If this works for you, you should see a GBA emulator window for each player along with the window for the game itself.
I had a blast playing it multiplayer for the first time! Thanks to everyone who offered help!
Iβve recently started using Dolphin to emulate Four Swords Adventures (Iβve had it since I was a kid but the disc no longer works) and Iβve always wanted to play it multiplayer. Unfortunately, Iβve never been able to as each player needs a link cable and a GBA of their own. Now that Iβm emulating it though, is there a way I could possibly set up multiplayer on my PC?
According to this job recruitment announcement, The Game Kitchen is currently working in a project called βNew Adventureβ that will require a level designer for top down levels (Zelda cited as reference) and a pixel artist for retro character creation.
There are also VR recruitment!
Could those projects be Blasphemous related or could they be new ips?
What do you think guys?
Well, anything coming from The Game Kitchen is good news for me at least.
