A list of puns related to "Wpm"
Hey all, just stumbled across this subreddit and figured this was the best spot to ask a question I've been wondering. So I've been a pretty darn fast typist all of my life, was at the 100-120 WPM range for a while, but about 5 years ago that went up to 145-150, best has been 153 WPM at 100% accuracy (bit of a fluke, I'm rarely at 100%, but you get the idea). I'd love to figure out a way to go beyond that though. I mean, it's not like I need to ever type more than 150, but at the same time I work in a field where I'm typing all day, so it would be useful if I could increase even beyond that. Is it just a genetic thing? Should I consider changing keyboard layouts to break through? Would love some advice here, since most of the things that come up when I Google typing speed increases are like "how do I type at 100 WPM," which doesn't help me much. Thanks!
Edit: Okay, so I'd never gone to MonkeyType before, but I saw a number of people here mentioning it, so I just did a 30s test there. 164 WPM, 99% accuracy. Just to give an idea of where I'm at, but also where I want to improve to. Is 200 possible? Or do you start reaching your physical limit after 150?
WPM - words per minute je enota za merjenje natipkanih besed na minuto. Sam imam okoli 75 - 85 WPM. Zanima me Δe Ε‘e kdo lahko tipka hitreje ali vsaj pribliΕΎno isto kot jaz?
I was confused bc I was watching a show and a person said that their wpm is 600. Is there a conversion (roughly) between English wpm to Korean wpm?
Donβt lie(although most people probably will)
I recently took a typing test. I scored 50 wpm on medium text.
I use Dvorak layout and I practice on keybr.com, monkeytype.com and typeracer.com. My speed hovers between 100 to 105 wpm 90% of the time. I'm 100% accurate most of the times. I'm having difficulty breaking the 105 wpm barrier. The fastest I have ever recorded was around 112 wpm. I use Kinesis Advantage 2 with Cherry MX Brown switch.
I'm stuck at this speed for almost a year now. Should I have to settle with this limitation assuming that it is limited by the agility of my fingers? Are there any drills that I can do to get past this plateau?
Here is a screenshot from one of my recent attempts on monkeytype. Most of my sessions are pretty similar with consistency hovering between 70 to 80%. Any tips on how to improve consistency?
Stopped recording just before the tears came out.
Can't believe I cried over a typing speed for the very first time. It's almost 2 years of 40 WPM with proper form, positioning, curve, "accuracy over speed", "speed will come naturally", etc.. 2022 is just around the corner, so someone please take this keyboard and chop my hands off with it like a meat cleaver.
Hello. For the past 8 months I tried to grind my average to 100 WPM, but I just can't. I am using typeracer.com for practicing typing. I have really good runs with 90 or 100 but they are not consistent. I am looking for advice from a professional typist. I am currently using QWERTZ, which is the European layout for most of the Balkan countries. The only difference on this layout is that the letter Z and Y are switched... Are there any professional typist who use this layout?
Hi everyonbe,I've started learning touch typing 4 years ago; I'm a student, so I don't practice much a day, but I've practiced a lot, and maybe for more than 30 mins each day for a while, and from day to another other times. The point is, I'm slowly improving, and I've almost stuck at an average of 58 WPM on 10fastfingers.com, and maximum of 71 WPM, my average now is higher than months ago, but not much improvement.
My keyboard isn't that good, espcially as the backspace botton does not have a balance bar, so it stucks a lot and hurts right pinky finger, but that's not a goof reason, many people can type as twice as me using my keyboard, and I'm completely sure that no much improvement will happens by getting a better keyboard.I strongly believe that people are not equal, and threshold for every one is different from another, so not everybody can reach 100 or 200WPM, but that's not something to rely on too, as that's might not be my maximum possible speed. So, how can I improve at this point, and how to tell that's not your upper end? Thanks in advance.

This was my biggest typing goal (https://imgur.com/a/UwJxzBF) for the year and I'm glad I was able to do it before 2022! It took me about 5,000 races and 8 months (https://imgur.com/a/gRnJx0Z) (on and off) to achieve this. Feel free to ask me anything typing-related.

Hello Reddit!
I am doing typing tests with my friends and found that I can do 80 WPM with a typing test. Is there any way I can get paid for doing this?
I am a 14 year old from the UK.
Right now I'm used to use all fingers except for my pinkies and my current wpm is 85-95. Do you think it's necessary to use all my fingers to improve beyond this point?
I'm a student in a college and i have a very important exam coming up in Apr 2022, so I'd require a speed of 280-300 wpm to read relevant materials and prepare well. Currently without being familiar with this method i have very low amount of subvocalization and i can read 200WPM PLEASE HELP ME FIND THE MOST PRACTICAL BOOK FOR IT. i don't require a speed of 400-500 or more 300 WPM will do for me
i seem to type the fastest compared to other people my age, but any thoughts? (im a fetus btw)
