Alot of people (myself included) have complained on this subreddit that the quality of the videos have slips since Jared left.
I feel it's only fair to also give praise where it's due and say that the last 3 weeks or so, pretty much every video has been really enjoyable. They're back to talking about more complex topics, and they've found a nice balance with the humour as well.
I especially liked the last four videos they put out. About anti-vaxers, NFTs, It's always sunny, and copywrite laws. The videos are much smarter and funnier than they have been in a while.
Having read a majority of the Cosmere books, I've been re-reading TWoK and I just noticed that during the first meeting between Wit and Kaladin, Hoid seems to be explicitly aware of the fact that he's a book character:
In Chapter 57, Wondersail:
> "And what is your name, my thoughtful bridgeman?" > Kaladin hesitantly raised his own hand. "Kaladin. And yours?" > "I've many." The man shook Kaladin's hand. "I began life as a thought, a concept. words on a page. That was another thing I stole. Myself. Another time, I was named for a rock."
Was this purely a metaphor, because Hoid is Hoid, or is it really a hint to the readers that he is fully aware of what he actually is in relation to the Cosmere?
